Great job on the video Adam👍. I've had the same problem forgetting to turn my mic on. It was a pleasure to have you and Lance visit the shop. The Abom BBQ was Amazing 😎👍
Thanks for sharing with us Adam, sorry to see Lance having vehicle trouble on the road. Been there done that and haven’t taken a trip like that since then! I hope they made the trip home without any trouble. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👋👋
Adam I can tell by the look on your face you're having a very peaceful mornings. Nothing like the mountains I live in southwest Virginia and love it we have a creek in front of our house the early morning are so peaceful. Love hearing nature coming to life in the morning
LOL... We have a family feud see.... Im a Chevy fan, and my Son is a Ford fan, our jabs about each others trucks are constant LOL!!!.. Hope the 'route' cause of the transmission failure wont happen again.... Cheers.
Seems like I get hungry everytime I watch y'all. I have watched Steve work on his shop the whole way. Awesome view. Look up the Mountain Top flea market Alabama on your way back.
Hope you sampled some of the bourbon! Headed north next week to have some skyline and family fun as well. This video shows why we work, to enjoy life and friends. Cheers.
Glad y'all enjoyed Kentucky I live in Louisville about an hour west of where you all were, by the way while you were in Kroger you should have picked some skyline chili not as good as from restaurant but they have it in the freezer isle and the canned good isle where the other canned chili is
I'm thinking someone forgot to put the transfer case in neutral before towing?? Seen that destroy a trans before and I mean destroy, not even the case is reusable. When you turn the output shaft it moves the internals but there is no lubrication from the pump in the front run off the input shaft
It's hard to imagine a better place to be broken down if it was going to happen anyhow. Absolutely beautiful country. I've enjoyed the time I've spent down that way as well. As far as your audio problems, I long ago learned that I need to have 2 audio sources for every video. Sometimes one will mess up or become unusable for whatever reason. I use a pretty inexpensive Sony voice recorder as my primary and rely on camera audio as the back up. The Sony does a tremendous job for the price. I carry the Sony on me so I'm not tethered to the camera, a bit like you're using your wireless setup.
yea...Flat towing vehicles. For F-series they have to be 4WD and the T-Case needs to be in Neutral (which is common for most (all?)). One of the things I've read is that they recommend having batteries checked before using tow haul. Friend had the same issue with a Jeep and a Buick. EXPENSIVE lesson to learn. :( Sorry that happened to Lance. As others said, if you have to break down, you couldn't ask for a much better place. Steve Sommers is a great guy, love his channel. Found his channel about 2 or 3 years ago, and just love what he does and how he does it. A guy could enjoy a cold snack or two with him and Elizabeth and Steve's parents.
Adam, I have an "obd2 elm327" bluetooth adapter in my car for these types of situations. With Torque Pro app on android I'm able to figure most engine stuff out if it's "computer monitored".
ABomb. If I coulda got Scotty to beam me to wherever you was, I’dda been on them ribs like a duck on a junebug! That sure looked good! Good times with good friends, it don’t get no better. I like sharin adventures with you as much as I do sharin shop time. 😎👍👀
Abom cooking looks so good if your ever thru dawsonville ga let me know I have some local creek water that will knock your socks loose love the content keep it coming
Its so great to see people helping each other out in simple ways...Takes a lot of stress off people at this time especially. Adam you have a special talent for cooking Sir !... thats a given LOL, so mouth watering to watch LOL(Thanks for Sharing the video with us)...Abby, hows this for 'Do Cool $hit'?... Yesterday while working, a cow moose goes trotting through the job site, less than fifty feet away.. Eh!!!...ps: we just had 3 scorching plus 30'C days..almost heat stoke dang!... Cheers Blessings!
Can you share how you prepared your Brussel sprouts and asparagus in your skillet? Looked great. Just started using cast iron and would love to try it. Thanks
Adam you should get a sponsor on everything you touch you definitely got the nack for the video thing been on your other channel for about 5 years I have learned so much about machine work from you bought a lot of tools from auctions.
You and your lovly wife live quite well on the road, Adam. That was a very cool camp site. I'm looking at your griddle and wondering if you have seen the ones that AVE has been turning out on his HASS mill. A man like you could put one of those to good use. Really appreciate your sharing your work and your life. You set a great example of hard work and good will. Seeya
Lance said to Steve to repay my debt for Steve coming down and help it out that's what it's all about guys helping each other out I watch Steve's video the other day you guys down in the shop and Adam I watched your video just this morning of you finishing up that spray weld on the pump impeller,.. I'd be up there helping as well..
Try some purple, orange, and green cauliflower (purple is the best, orange is a little carrotty..usually put parmesean on it, however the purple doesn't seem to need it)(good looking ribs, now I'm hungry again; I'll take the two pieces on the end there)
Eastern KY (Liberty) is one area I really enjoyed being in. That was a long time ago, now. All other trips through were trucking. I've met an awful lot of people out on the road, having trouble with Ford pickups/SUV's. 99% of the time, it was the ground cable connection at the engine block. Seems when they try to start them, the angry pixies try to use another path through a component or a wire that is not heavy enough. The engineers are sadistic, I think, because that cable is always bolted to the block in a spot that requires the engine to be cold to get to it, and the mechanic has to be a contortionist to get to it, and it's usually tight enough that the short wrench you must use doesn't provide enough leverage. Best fix I've found ... abandon the factory ground cable. A new ground cable of #2 copper. One end to a starter mounting bolt, the other direct to the battery ground. Another #4, direct from battery ground to the frame AND body. No series paths to ground. All connecting points cleaned bare, coat with dielectric grease once installed, to stem corrosion. Check often, D.C. is very unforgiving about bad connections.
Just had my work F250 have a failed alternator. Put out way too much current. Fried most of the computers inside. Ford said it is a known issue, but not recalled. Worst part, is that there is this ongoing chip shortage with Ford, and they can't get them new. The dealer had to go to a scrap yard to pick used computer parts. Not under warranty. Not recalled. $6000 worth of repairs. A very good reason why I would never buy a Blue Oval.
Chip shortage is happening to everyone, I work for GM and it's hitting us hard too... If anyone needs a computer module of any kind right now, your screwed
Hi Adam and Abby - the little lifter tool that you all have for your pit barrel's fire basket - is that homemade or something you bought? I think that thing is very cool and want one for my PBJ!
@@RGSABloke There are a few channels whose creators are just good people. I think I'd listen to some of these guys talking about pretty much anything, just based on the personalities they have. I don't think I'm explaining that very well, it is late. Have a good night, buddy!
Keeping a 75$ scan tool in the glove box will save you thousands over time. Or you could just buy a proper tow rig ;). Also I was hoping it was going to be the proper lance you were hanging out with.
Great job on the video Adam👍. I've had the same problem forgetting to turn my mic on. It was a pleasure to have you and Lance visit the shop.

Wish we would have planned more time to hang out with ya Steve! Sure was nice having y’all at the camp though! 🔥🍖
excellent music choice toward the end - Thank you for that nice touch
Nice to see folks helping folks and just enjoying life. Safe journey.
Loving Steve's ToT shirt :-) Great people there, helping out each other.

Nice bit of music at the end I believe it was a old hym leaning on the ever lasting arms.
It was a sad day for Lance's transmission. Electronics can sure bite ya when you don't expect it!
wow, great video, Adam & Abby. great to see Steve & Elizabeth!
leaning on the everlasting arms. Great closing music.
Perfect
I just loved that music too.

A beautiful slice of Americana, and did Abbey ever get the bug out of her nose? musta been maddening with intermittent sinus buzz
Nice to have for machine transportation! And,.. and,... man I “hate it” when you shower of you amazing bbq skills... really hat it 😂
looks good !.. do you get any major flair ups due to grease dripping the coals ? thanks for the trip !
Not at all. If you keep the lid on the proper amount of airflow goes up and through. The fat drippings creates its on steam fog in the barrel.
@@AbomAdventures nice .. thanks have to get me one of those

That single barrel bourbon has a very good design! Walnut is nice, and all the video is good again! thx!

You’re killing me! That food looks amassing! (And I brussel sprouts)
It reminds me of Tennessee!! Awesome video bro.. haven't seen the boss yet!!
I just had to stay at my sisters in new Orleans for two weeks because my trans went out also. and Ilive in north central Louisiana.
Hey Adam just a little request could ya give us the date at the beginning of your videos. Please.

I tried your barbeque bean recipe last night, it was excellent. I guess your next enterprise will be Abom's barbeque cookbook
I still need some time under us so I can share lots of my easy fixing recipes 👍🏻
Sooooooo much food!!! Great video.
Do you do any hunting?? I love your videos. Keep it up
I can’t believe you come to my hometown to visit Steve and Elizabeth, and didn’t even stop by to say hi...
Wish I could try some abom bbq
With using the pit barrel in so many different locations. Have you had t make a lot of adjustments on the vent?
Only time I open it up more is when we are in Colorado. Otherwise about 1/3 open
Nice folks brother¡! God bless him!!❤️

Nice video,Ribs look great.I cooked a few racks on Monday. Can't believe $5.15 a pound for pork ribs.
Ohhhhh, Kroger bacon is so good.
That surface plate on the towtruck definetly needs some tlc from Lance! It even looks unflat! 😂
I've got a great transmission guy butbit back near Ft. Knox
Brussell Sprouts have actually been improved in the past few decades (I learned this week on TH-cam)

I’d really love to have some of the Abom79 rub. Guess I’m going to just send a $20 in the mail and see if that can get the rub company going.
Which camp ground is this? Steele branch?

Years of use 😎🔥
Kentucky actually means a good place from the native language
Man, my kinda eatin there at the end.
Hey Adam, get the truck to Eric O at South Main Auto, just sayin.
Not a bad idea, but it is a 9-10 hour drive, and that's without towing anything.

No warrantee? Take it a dealer and get it fixed. Ford in campground dead! ; - )
Can tell from the truck it's at least 3 years old or more, warranty would probably be over now
@@FusionBoost2.0 That's why I am paying $50 more a month for a warrantee for the life of my loan.
dodge for the rescue :)
All buy a FORD........NOT LOL. I would guess is going to be the starter or just the soleniod.
I have a 2017 the starter just went out of. That was my first guess. Now I always turn off the autostop. Don't want to wear out another starter.
+ bugnose!¡😂
Wifey!!👌💕❤️😁
I guess Lance should have bought a dodge.
i am 20 min from there

I had a tail hitch cap that read... 'Remove to Tow Fords'.... it went missing one day.... I'm pretty my Son swiped it LOL...
