- Here are my full performances from my singing in corsets and stays experiment! I'm performing in plus size 18th century stays, Regency stays, and a Victorian corset. I hope you enjoy the performances in historical corsets and stays and costumes!

I’m an opera fanatic and I have to say I was quite surprised! Not that you sang but that you sang opera and as well as you do. Brava diva!
♥️ Thank you! I'm, admittedly, a bit out of practice with teaching voice and piano full time. I have a Master of Music in vocal performance.
@@PocketFullofPoseys I had no idea you had been to conservatoire! Out of practice or not I can definitely tell you have a lovely voice. Keeping technique in shape takes a Lot of effort and diligence. So, some flubs here and there are forgivable IMO. In any case your performance overall is wonderful and better than some professionals I know.

@@PocketFullofPoseys I adored Caballe! I can’t tell you how sad I was when she passed I met both Caballe and Sutherland in London in 2003 when I was 10 and will always remember it.
Last little question lol: regardless of Fach, and exigent circumstances, if you could choose any role to sing that would result in pinnacle of artistry and musicality who would you choose.

I've always thought to myself that opera singers have a double delight, they get to sing wonderful music and wear wonderful clothing. I mostly teach, but I perform concerts from time to time. With my teaching schedule I don't have time for rehearsing shows or operas very often.

I just finished watching a Carnegie conservator work on a portrait of isabella de Medici and when her face was revealed I thought of you. I could see you bringing that portrait alive gowned as a Renaissance princess! she was not a great role model for sure but even so a beautiful woman who reminded me of you.

I can’t afford my voice lessons right now but my teacher so desperately wanted me to do opera so my last solo I did before leaving was Habanera! I found it hard to find mezzo soprano works in opera - to be fair I’m not amazing at searching for opera though because I’m not as familiar.
Samson and Delilah has a pretty mezzo aria, "Mon cœur s'ouvre à ta voix".
@@PocketFullofPoseys thanks for the recommendation I’ll have to give it a listen. Personally I think I’m a contralto but he was VERY DETERMINED that I am an mezzo soprano so. There y’a go. I feel more comfortable in my lower register

I had an actor tell me once that she prefers to sing in a steel bones corset, because it gives her something to push her diaphragm against.
I have no clue if that's a thing or not, but you seem to be unhindered by it!
It definitely helps you feel your breath and support.
