    Adam is a typical British gentleman to let you complain here, because of the complaint culture in Britain. Britain can be very breezy and the weather changes a lot in a day, so it's funny to see the sky in Britain. In Gibraltar, there's plenty of sunshine, so I believe people don't suffer from winter depression easily.

    You two can have your own show and become very rich. Janna will talk, and Adam will interpret what she said, like:
    J. - I lost my hearing.
    A. - You lost your earring.
    J. - Waiters here don’t rush.
    A. - They are not Russians.
    J. - They play only rock music here.
    A. - You’re on the rock. What else can you get?
    J. - In NZ, lamb is cheap but chicken for some reason is very expensive.
    A. - It’s because lambs eat chickens.
    J. - They work very slowly in Spain.
    A. - It’s because between mañana and siesta they have only 45 minutes of productive work.

    How petty … windy .. in the UK trees are blown down with the winds .. in Spain there have been floods and strong winds everywhere… even in nearby Malaga there has been flooding and even hailstones this week . There is much to do in Gib .. water sports , bowling , photography clubs …. Many pubs and eating places have live music … building is a positive … we have all new schools for our young .. a good hospital with excellent staff and consultants … in UK there are seven and a half million waiting for hospital appointments for years even cancer patients . We have a good transport system … there are many women’s shops ( maybe you should take off your sunglasses ) we are economically strangled by Spain and Brexit …. For a small place like Gibraltar you have everything compared to a same sized town in UK.. Seagulls … I’ve had food stolen from my plate in Brighton by Seagulls ….!!
    I agree that postage (post Brexit is bad) … Almost 100% of people serving in restaurants in Gib are Spaniards or other foreign national….. I have lived here now for many years and feel fortunate … I went to London earlier this year and was attacked in a supermarket on my first day ..!!!
    I honestly don’t know why you are still here … try the Costa where crime is rife and ex pats are being knobbled post Brexit with various tax laws and lengths of stays ….
    Have a nice day but beware of the wind , cold water and seagulls … 😉

    thanks for the info. It sounds like a place where heat has been the excuse for slow moving workers at all levels, a degree of laziness and the mail is appalling. Non ending construction is not good. And living there why? It is not that cheap but not terribly peaceful and the days sound far too hot. Obviously some people love it. You need money though and even then you get crappy service. It does not sound too great to me but others would love it. The man in the tie die shirt sounds happy about all of it or maybe he just likes being contrary.

    Sounds like if you get seriously sick in Gibraltar, going back to Russia for expedited treatment might be the better choice for specialist treatment?
    My wife, from Saratov, was diagnosed with breast cancer last September. Treatment was immediate, between chemo and radiation in Saratov and Engles, surgery in Moscow.

    • @JannaTravels
      @JannaTravels ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! Yes, many Russians preferred to go back for health treatments, but I do not trust Russian doctors much, I'm afraid, they are too greedy for money and would do unnecessary treatments... and social hospitals and emergency services used to be just awful... My mom had a stroke in 2016 and it was a nightmare... May be its changed now I have not been to Russia since 2018... So sorry about your wife, how is she now?

    • @DAVEVIKASARATOV
      @DAVEVIKASARATOV ปีที่แล้ว

      She's doing well, thanks! Saratov was insisting on a full mastectomy. We got her into the Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology in Moscow, where did a lumpectomy in January.
      I think the lack of funding and perhaps doctors being too busy or lazy in provincial towns can be an issue.
      I did have to pay the surgeon, doctor and anesthesiologist tips. All together 90,000₽, not so bad.
      She has 7 more localized chemo drips, one every 21 days. Her hair is coming back, she's happy and doing sports.
      She lives off Volzhskaya Ulitsa. I'm sure you know the area, not far from the embankment 😊
