I actually would have liked for the music to be less loud in the beginning instead of being the main theme that overrides other natural sounds. It kinda rapes the authenticity of the experience of the place. Less is more.

the walls look like they have rockbolts, mesh, & shot - creted. The tunnel walls look like calcium carbonate deposits Imagine working in there. all that shitty mold was in the air but kept down to a dull roar with taxpayer funded a/c.
Looks mothballed not abandoned. Power lines still set up and running. Doesn't look like anything was taken in a hurry. I'm sure whatever elite family owns this thinks they may need it later
All of these bunkers would be futile in a nuclear strike, even if the occupants survive the initial attack what then? When they emerge they would find death and destruction on an unimaginable scale, and the fallout contamination rendering water undrinkable and the air un breathable. Back in the 70's there was a foolish idea that there could be a limited nuclear war but in reality each side would launch a massive strike to either destroy the other before they could respond or in retaliation. Mankind is really stupid.
Watching this video and listening to Baba O'riley from The Who makes it to a total different experience :D It's like joining an exciting discovery instead of a horror movie
This place is pretty amazing. I like the touch of scary you added with the music as going into such places really does cause a primal reaction that makes your hair stand on end. Glad you didn't go over the top, though. =P
Norway has shelter for HALF their people??????? By comparison, the US has 381million people with bunker space available for about 3. Morale of the comparison you ask? Hiding in a hole in the ground is not the answer and not what we do in the USA. Great explore, glad you had on respiratory gear, be safe out there and we will keep tuning in. I kinda agree that hiding in the ground is not the best choice when being attacked, but you have to see the difference between Norway and the US when is comes to being able to defend itself. It´s a good point to think about. I would prefer if we dont forget all the old Shelters.. Even here in Germany are many Old Shelters, that never ever will be used again due to mold, instability, etc. It is just horrible to think about what would happen when we really need them.. Hi, I have a question. Due to circumstances I haven't been able to do much urban exploring. I've only visited 4 places, which I happened to cross while on holiday and thanks to older cousins. Now that I am old enough and will go travelling, I am getting increasingly confused. HOW do you find abandoned locations!? Nobody shares it online so it doesn't get an attraction? I am going for a 10 day trip to norway so obviously I don't know the (abandoned) place(s). How do you do your research and find this? I would LOVE to go explore with a photocamera this time.

This shelter is not enough deep underground to maintain population alive. Curently builded shelters have minimum 50m deep below ground. For military and special purposes, they build 200m underground. I saw one with geothermal reactor - They can survive 130 Years. ( designed running time )

Hey there:) No I don`t think you should be worried, actually I don`t want any of you to be afraid about our current situation, but I do want you to ask yourself if you want shelters back!! German soldiers would be posted at all sorts of (nowadays) non-sense places because it was so early in the war and they had the manpower to do it. You can also take into consideration that the roads back then are not the same as we have now, and coastline defensive positions are no exeption either. There is a totally different enemy to be worried about these days, and germans are not one of them. Thank you for watching and writing to me.

Thank you so much for watching :) But I have to correct you, as you are absolutely wrong; the U.S have tons oh these place as they are are actually a product of the cold war between the USA, Soviet and Cuba. You ahould also know that up and untill the late 80`s alot of americans buildt their own nuclear shelters in their own backyard because of the imminent threat.

There are actually many trolls in there, (bare lat som om det er troll i Norge) there are big trolls there, some nice and some evil. But a lot of them will try to eat you :O (no joke)
It was not a factory, but a shelter that also worked as a communication-central for the civil protection. In an emergency people in the local area might be ordered into this shelter and the Norwegian Civil Protection Unit would operate the place untill further notice.
Finally a new video. Keep them coming Olav. I m fascinated by how people did not steal many things from there... Everything (your other videos also) is mainly untouched. Have a good one !

I never tell the location of these places publicly, but I can tell you that this is relatively close to the capitol.
