Great episode. The construction sector has been doing this for years. I used to run a contracting business & was subbed in to some of the biggest names. They only ever owned a few telehandlers. Everything else was hired for the duration of the contract.
The agriculture industry could learn a few things about that.
Farmers love shiny metal & often have expensive gear that sits in a shed more often than it gets used.

Formula crisis & China’s appetite for overseas baby formulas and dairy farms
(Commercial farming is grossly underdeveloped in Ireland.
For example the potential to exploit the premium the Chinese are prepared to pay foe Baby Formula Powdered Milk.
This market is a potential goldmine and has not been developed whatsoever.
Commercial Aquaculture is almost completely untapped for example Sea Kelp for Iodine and Iodine is essential for pregnant women and children's growing brains.
This is the fault of the politicians for not understanding how the Chinese Market should be target one for growth and specifically the premium the Chinese pay for Baby Formula Powdered Milk.
The politicians and the private sector are like the tortoise and the hare.
But in the private sector the hare is in a Jet Suit moving in three dimensions.
This void must be filled and economic growth will result from developing the Chinese market for Baby Formula Powdered Milk).
