Hello teacher! Thank you for your posts! It has helped me a lot! I have a doubt: I see that these "compliments" are sometimes used in reverse, for example, +8=+10-2. Hi Alessandra,
You can easily find out the answers on the abacus tool using the reverse order but in order to perform the mental calculations, it is important to follow the method I've suggested in the videos. In the case of 5's compliments always add first and for 10's compliments always subtract first. This small distinction helps in visualizing the abacus tool mentally.
