Peace and normalcy in Manipur can be returned very easily provided the Chief Minister is given free hand and all Central security forces including the army placed under his command. He is the man on the spot and moreover a Constitutionally elected person to rule the State. This can be done by invoking Article 355 as there are internal disturbance and external agression by infiltrators in the State. Ours is a democratic country. Or in case the CM is not trusted by the Centre, the State should be placed under President's rule by invoking Article 356. The sovereign authority of India that is Bharat be exerted and the militants who started firings on civilians be pursued to its logical conclusion. The infiltrators should not be left scot-free. Nothing has been done by the Centre in this regard. Aren't we waiting to see a flag with the Star of David in the middle being unfurled over the sky of India's Far East?
