Cool and all, but I never understood musicians that spend their time and effort trying to sound like someone and playing their compositions note by note. "To see if I got it right" was an often phrase here.. what is the endgame when you get it right? Doing a cover band? I dont know man, learn from others conceptually and do your own thing.

Some are just not that creative to come up with new things by them self.
