    Total respect on the pride you take in your work, and for your customers cars. Extremely clean, hidden but mean.

      Thanks for the kind words Keith. Liam is a good friend of mine, he's not a customer. All the cars on our channel are either ours or our friends. We're not a business, just a couple hacks playing in our sheds. Haha. I take my time doing the fabrication in the hope that it will turn out as best as I can get it. The cooler and piping turned out just how I wanted it to so im happy. Thanks for watching Keith!

      Thanks so much Hamish, We do treat our friends cars like they're our own. These aren't customer cars on the channel, just friends cars or our own. We're hoping to do more of our own stuff in the near future but right now theres some cool builds the boys are doing so we're helping where we can and enjoying the video making process as well. Thanks again mate.

      @@TorqHub either way it's still great to watch, if you do start a business I'm sure you would do well considering how much enthusiasm and effort you put into the builds. Always going above and beyond to make these builds just that bit better.

    Maan those are some sexy welds right there!! Really enjoyed this video! Love those plazmaman clamps too!

      Thanks mate! The plazzy clamps are pretty neat hey. Its adds a substantial cost to the job to do a full setup like this but it's a nice result in the end.

      Thanks Brad, all the pipework so far tucks away really quite well which is nice. Once it's all coated black it'll look even better we think. Thanks for watching as always brother.

    Fab work is immaculate. Just came across your channel. Glad i did.
    Just a couple questions.
    What blade do you use in the drop saw
    And what settings on the welder.
    Keep up the good work.

    • @TorqHub
      @TorqHub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for dropping in dude. I just answered your saw question on the other post. But as for welder settings, this was welded a long time ago so can't be 100 percent sure but I'll list a general setting i use
      Everlast 210ext tig
      Advanced square wave setting
      2.4 pink tungsten sharpened to a point (knock the tip off just a touch, it'll ball up slightly anyway)
      1.6 or 2.0 5356 filler. I use 2.4 for fillets
      80-100 amps on button using what I need with the pedal.
      Ac balance around 33% cleaning action
      Frequency at around 90-100hz for butt welds, and upto 180hz or more for fillet welds.
      Just play with the machine and you'll find what you like.
      Cheers mate
      Kurt.

    hey guys, at 01:27 is that an air filter coming out of your helmet there?

    • @TorqHub
      @TorqHub  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it's an "Adflo" unit made by 3M. Filters air and pumps it directly into the welding helmet. Keeps you cooler and keeps nasty smells and gases out of your face when spending long hours on the torch.

    Where’d ya source the 3.5 inch piping mate?

    • @TorqHub
      @TorqHub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We usually get our pipe, mandrels, and donuts from JNT Performance or Plazmaman 👍🏻

      Looks awesome, mint welder 👍

  • @joblogs3100
    @joblogs3100 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Out of curiosity what mandrel bends did ya use for this ute? Mines gonna transition from 3.5” cold side to 4” with a 3.5” 180 off intercooler hotside in a vk Calais

    • @TorqHub
      @TorqHub  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We used plazmaman bends on this one with jnt spun reducer. They're my favourite bend to use for sure.

    • @joblogs3100
      @joblogs3100 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bout to order tube just don’t want loads of waste, we’re the cold side pipes 90’s ya cut on the bend to achieve 75-80 degree?

    • @TorqHub
      @TorqHub  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't remember mate but if you have a look at the pipes, anything with no leg length on one side of the joint was likely a 90 that was cut down to desired angle. We had a mixed bag of bends on this job but it worked out good in the end. Don't forget you can use donuts for your tight stuff if room is limited as the bigger mandrel pipes in 180 etc take up a heap of room.
