I don’t care what anyone says, this live action is a success

  • @penmaker2525

I just love how the live action makes the villains so much more intimidating than the anime.

Love how Nami thinks she tricked Luffy into an unwinnable bet with no stakes from her, but he actually talked her into an open-ended bet he can cliam anything as the reward of later.

As someone who vowed to never watch One Piece…this live action is actually making me want to watch One Piece 😭

I really love Zoro's progression throughout the series. He started out as a stoic, lone wolf type of character and when he finally met Luffy, his world started to change. He's much more trusting to his crewmates and as each episode goes his smile goes wider.

3 episodes in and this show proves that live action anime can be done right, the concept of adaptation can be done while mantaining the sould of the original

As someone who’s never read the manga and watched the anime this was genuinely a really fun experience, I was legit cheering at different moments

The dude who played Kuro is an amazing actor.

I don’t know why, but Usopp’s “the pirates are coming” breakdown at the end has me so emotionally destroyed that reading the very simplified version in the manga made me cry

As someone who has'nt seen the anime nor read the manga I want to tell you guys that I am pleased with this show. I've seen three chapters so far and I've already cried in 2 with Luffy and Ussop's flashback scenes. This is so well done

I love how in this episode they use a whole lot of wide angle shots (at points almost fisheye) that feel really weird. Like it makes you feel uneasy. Something isn't right. But those shots only appear when Luffy is in the scene because Buggy is listening in. I absolutely love that so much.

According to the official information, Klahadore's speed technique is as fast as the rokushiki technique of soru, the difference between his and that is that he can't see while going so fast, that's why he attacks his own crew. His speed is literally an imperfect soru.

I can't stop thinking that Kuro is basically Robbie Rotten but more elegant and menacing 😂

    - Usopp is played by Jacob Romero Gibson (also was AJ in “Greenleaf”, Josh in “Grey’s Anatomy”, & a few more) while his younger self is played by Kevin Saula. Now he doesn’t have Usopp’s iconic long nose which I don’t mind but I did find interesting is that Foxy on his bounty poster does have one
