@@labella457 Thank you for the info. I would if I could but I don't live there anymore. I'm from southern Cali but moved to the Bronx for 5-years. Then to Savannah for 3, then back to Cali, but at the moment I'm floating down the Colorado River. lol
Yup! As someone from the Bronx who grew up in Yonkers for a lil bit it looks like Albany, Schenectady, and Troy but still has more Bronx energy because that area especially, is right next door…. It’s a good split
Riverdale, Bronx right here. I spent a lot of time in Yonkers. From Riverdale, it’s easier to cross over into Yonkers than it is to go further into The City (Manhattan) or even to other parts of the Bronx. I would take HH / Saw Mill River Parkway north over to Cross County Parkway and back down The Hutch to get to the other side of The Bronx.
now that I travel more and damn near drove through every state up in down the east coast Ive learned they always put an ELM street in all the bad areas or poor areas ..
For a supposed 1st World country all of the above ground cables is a disgrace. You would imagine the government would put money into a modernisation project. Something we no longer have in europe. Especially the traffic lights, they all connect under ground. The mismatch of buildings and dates of all of them is an eclectic collection. Reminds me of being in Glasgow and London compared to Paris or Madrid
It's a little grimy but definitely nowhere near the worst hoods in the country. Most of the NY metropolitan area is managable if youre aware of your surroundings
0.43 bottom unit with white jeep & rubbish bag outside front door smack bang on footpath lol...must get some sleepless nights in there with whom evers walking past at all hours..haha imagine being real stoned in that lol
This looks like a badly rundown New England town, like someone took all the bad areas of CT, MA, RI, ME, NH & VT and just dumped them all higgledy piggledy on top of a mountain just north of the Bronx - Westchester Line... 😢

Yo bro 👊 Yonkers ny not perfect 👌 but at the same time 🕰️ not that bad either it had it good and bad parts of town just like 👍 every other city in America 🇺🇸 😎 👊 bro
Those areas look better now than how they did 10 years ago! I remember driving through those blocks at night several times. Shitt, when I was a kid 10-20 years ago, I remember more abandoned and boarded up cribs/buildings. You’ll still catch them now, but not like how it used to be…
@@thomaschristopher8593 yeah it started in the South Bronx and then that became a trend all throughout most of the boroughs so it definitely traveled up north. My dad told me that even parts of RIVERDALE fell victim to fires
I like playing these at 2X so it looks like he is trying to get outta there asap 😂

Yonkers is the 2nd hilliest city in the country, after San Francisco.
The homes are so cute. I lived in NYC for 5-years but never had a chance to see Yonkers. I enjoyed it:-)
That's just a tiny portion of Yonkers he showed. There's better.
@@labella457 What he showed was cute. I'd love to see the rest.
If you live in the bx it's only a bus ride away. Try cross County shopping center and take it from there

Saw Mill River Parkway is the dividing line. You go north and east and it's nice suburbia. Totally different.
You're a natural on camera, keep shining!
Charlie Bo, been a fan a long time, miss ya bro...Real content folks...
Probably the nicest place featured in your videos
This got me listening to “Im from Yonkers” by Jadakiss
It looks like a different version of the Bronx 😭🤣
I bet there is a bumper sticker out there that says "Bonkers for Yonkers"
the first 6 minutes and 15 seconds was my old neighborhood in the '60s and 70's.
All-around not the worst place you've visited
Yeah not even close
just stay out of the southwest quadrant - my old neighborhood in the'60s and '70s.
I was about to say that car looks like Alonso's car from Training Day at 6:12 and then hear buddy say "Whatever the fuck ever". Lol
Those hills are something else.
Facts
Yonkers is in the Hudson Valley
Looks the same as Albany, Schenectady, Troy. And I dig it.

In general, depressing.

That's Yonkers, west of Central Park Ave. There are hills there just like the ones in San Francisco.

Living in the D... I always wondered what Yonkers looked like. According to the LOX... it's the wild west
It’s not a war zone but it’s bad in some areas.

Compton too. Hence Elm St. Pirus lol

There’s a large mexican population in yonkers
They said new York on 🔥 rite now wonder which part is this 🤔
I know cars get hit everyday, everyone cant parallel park🤣🤣
I love it gorgeous old beautiful
I'd hate to have to parallel park on a hill. I'm not even good at parallel parking on a level street.
y.o was like that in the 90s to 2010
Don't like how you have to park ur car on the streets 😮instead of a parking garage
Looks like heaven compared to many places you've been.
Home of DMX. R.I.P.

And it’s very expensive, even in the “Ghetto “ areas. I looked at a home of South Broadway, and they wanted $700,000!!

In Yonkers lookin' for Ely the People's Guy!

right by it
Looks like old school San Francisco before it got all the way gentrified
My brother thats just the tip of the ghetto
Not the worst place, however I did feel something when I saw the mother crossing the street with her daughter.
Go to Fall River or Lawrence

i think there was a period in the 80's and 90's that had a lot of fires - probably insurance fraud.
