Successful investing/trading is hard work because it means disciplining your mind to do the opposite of human nature. Buying during a panic, selling during euphoria, and holding on when you are bored and just craving a little action. Investing is 5% intellect and 95% temperament.

Government policy has thrown the future under the bus for decades. The day of judgment is near. I predict an 80% drop in the stock market. Investors will abandon stocks in favor of real estate. There will be no money in banks... You must devise a strategy for survival.

My spouse and I are adding a variety of stocks/ETF to my present holdings for the long term, We've set aside $250k to start following inflation-indexed bonds and stocks of companies with solid cash flows, I believe it is a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it wouldn't hurt to know means of actualizing short term profit.

Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?

Just ''buy the dip'' man. In the long term it will payoff. High interest rates usually mean lower stock prices, however investors should be cautious of the bull run, its best you connect with a well-qualified adviser to meet your growth goals and avoid blunder.

I like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or whenever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income

So far I’ve just been sticking small amounts of money into companies I’m sure will continue to exist for the next five years and if the stocks do well, I hold on. If not, I reinvest the bad ones into the good ones so I can get higher gains. I gained about $9.5k from putting in $4k into NVIDIA earlier this year so that was pretty nice.

Richard: I don’t understand why I’d invest in an ETF paying less than 2% dividend when my banks checking account pays double+ that amount! Granted, I have to jump through the monthly hoops of 10 debit card transactions to get that bonus interest rate but that’s easy once you get in the habit. I rarely now buy any stock or ETF that doesn’t pay 6% or above because of that consistently high interest 5.3% rate. Is it because of the upside potential of the fund that you accept the lower dividend rate ETFs?
I’ve followed you for over a year now and some of your individual dividend stock recommendations have been absolutely outstanding - including SUN and USAC…WOW! So THANKS!

If you are planning for retirement Here are some key pointers. Firstly, kick-start your savings early to benefit from compounding. The longer your money has to grow, the better. Secondly, make the most of retirement accounts like 401(k)s and IRAs, especially if your employer offers a matching contribution - it's essentially free money. Thirdly, diversify your investments across different assets to mitigate risk. Think stocks, bonds, and real estate.

The whole talk about "reverse" market crash (real estate and stock market) basically argues that we are nowhere near done with inflation and that we might actually experience "hyperinflation" in the near future combined with accelerating poverty levels across the nation or going thru a historical economic depression...those are the extreme conditions that have produced the reverse market crashes in most examples I've seen. I personally don't see anything that extreme coming, but who knows.

I think you're betting too heavily on EVs and clean tech. but then I'm old and don't have another 30 years to wait, lol. Once this administration gets the boot (and it will) you're going to see a huge boost in energy stocks and industrials.

Just because there are opportunities in the market doesn’t mean you should go in blindly. To understand the potential factors that contribute to your financial growth, I'll advise you to seek the help of a professional

I completely agree; I am 60 years old, recently retired, and have approximately $1m in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, having a portfolio-advisor for investing is genius!

Her name is *melissa maureen ward* can't divulge much. Most likely, the internet should have her basic info, you can research if you like

Remember that investing in the stock market carries risks, and it’s important to do your own research and consult with a financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

I agree, having a brokerage advisor for investing is genius! Amidst the financial crisis in 2008, I was really having investing nightmare prior touching base with a advisor. In a nutshell, i've accrued over $2m with the help of my advisor from an initial $350k investment.

I have been into this for long and though I won't say I have lost a fortune, I have squandered quite a lot. If it's not a problem, do you mind recommending the pro. you worked with? I could definitely use the help of one right now... I look forward to your reply..

The market trend can turn around very quickly. In fact, the indexes often switch from a bear market to a bull market when the news is at its worst and the mood of investors is at its lowest point. I read an article of people that grossed profits up to $150k during this crash, what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist?

Venturing into the market without the help of a professional and expecting profit is like turning water into wine you would need a miracle.

The issue is most people have the “I want to do it myself mentality” but not equipped for a crash that comes afterwards. Ideally, advisors are perfect reps for investing jobs and at first-hand experience, my portfolio has yielded over 40%, summing up nearly $452k, since covid outbreak to date.
