Cool video. I have a hand auger that isn't difficult to use. It basically shaves the ice and you don't put any pressure on it at all. All you have to do is move your hands in a circular motion. It's the ht nero and they run for a little less than a 100$. It's about half the price of a nils auger.
Westside polack 616 thank you! We actually just upgraded to an ion power auger. It’s pretty quiet and gets the job done in seconds. Couldn’t be happier. Our hand augering days are done for now. You can see it in action in our last ice fishing videos. I didn’t get rid of the hand auger though. Maybe someday I’ll pass it down. It definitely needs some sharper blades though.
