those are all already in the game. kronan is he-man, rayzenger is a mix of gundam and transformers, and lockjaw is a street shark… although i can make a pretty good argument for why there should be a take on the old g.i. joe street fighter figures that gave them all weapons for no reason other than having more accessories to sell seperately.

I really hope I can dial down the flashing effects. And change the punching sounds to just plastic clacking on each other, while there's a fight commentary consisting of two kids narrating what is happening.
It's literally called Knock Off. There is no licensing, these are generic, non-licensed characters/toys. Licensed toys would go against the very thing this game is aiming for, ya know... the discount toys that are clearly rip-off's KNOCK OFF's) of popular IP.
i mean it could work and be pretty fun with just skins or something if toymakers want some coverage. like a he-man or conan skin for kronan. but knowing how it is today, we'll just get a weird smash clone by hasbro itself lol

Looks like you guys have all the combo rules from a marvel game. Looks like the perfect lab game for me. My only question is this: Are their OTG (off the ground) combo extensions? I definitely see wall bounces and ground bounces. One of my favorite ways to extend combos in UMvC3 is OTGs. Will definitely buy multiple copies of this though! Looking forward to this. Even if their ends up being a small player base I can see me spend 100s of hours labbing combos in training mode.
honestly, if this gets successful i’d love to see a demake done with stop motion animation of physical versions of the figures. in general a “robot chicken fighting game” is one of the big ideas that make me want to get into game dev… or at least MUGEN.
If actual toy lines get involved as guest characters, probably a LEGO mech controlled by a minifigure, or even various different Transformers characters of the developers' choice.
