@@nikhilkoganti I’ve switched from Note10 to iPhone 13 Pro, and let me tell me what drove me nut
      - on second incoming call, iPhone keep vibrating and beeping all during your conversation, no way to calm that down, with a Samsun you calm that down by clicking on volume, the second call stays in background in mute mode
      - you paste a phone number on call keypad and there is no way you can modify it or delete a number, you have to paste it somewhere do your edit copy and paste again on keypad.
      - switching SIM cards : I use 2 SIM card, in Samsung you can modify where data is consumed with 2 touch. With iPhone you have to go through different menus
      - controlling volumes : with Samsung you can control your volumes for call, alarm, media… with iPhone you can’t, the volume you set works for everything
      - WhatsApp calls logs integrated with phone logs
      - gboard is more intuitive and easy to use in Android
      - and many more options that you are used to in android you won’t find them on iPhone.
This is why I am waiting for my S23+

I've just moved from pixel 7 to s23. I prefer One UI to stock Android on Pixel 7. On the pixel there are niggly things like having to swipe down twice to change screen brightness, and linking WiFi and mobile data on the same quick settings button, so turning off WiFi requires an extra step, on my phone the ability to turn off 5g was disabled too (I work in a building with thick walls so I find data speeds more reliable with 5g off).

S23+ owner here, I have yet to run into a bug or performance issue so far. I grew up with iphone alongside my family but for the past 5 years I have gravitated towards android as I personally prefer the customisability and the amount of system control the user has.
I own a M1 Macbook which made me question if I should buy an iphone. But as someone who doesn't particularly use the ecosystem (windows pc, android phone, mac laptop) I decided that sticking to an android was the way to go. And holy cow AMOLED 120hz refresh rate is amazing, it is hard to tell the difference with my 165hz refresh rate monitor. And as a fingerprint biometric lover, the ulrasonic scanner is pressing my nerd buttons.
With sammy being an android phone, it is extremely useful for me to run unauthorised software. Being able to inject payloads into my Nintendo Switch using an android device saves me the trouble of having to use my laptop or PC.

I think the comparison should be between s23 and 14 pro. Otherwise it is a no brainer. S23 has better camera than the 14 overall. Even the 8k 30fps is very good and useable, unlike the 8k 24 fps on other phones. The Snapdragon 8gen 2 with a bit overclock for the samsung is an efficient monster. I have watched the most objective battery test from Phonearena and I would say that the s23 battery is on par. Maybe you can get 15-20min more on average with the iphone, but it is a very small difference to even discuss. Especially when nowadays you have fast charging. The display is also a lot better and I was the guy who thought 120hz is a bit overkill and not needed, but I am coming from SE2020 and jesus, the difference is huge. Its worth mentioning that the s23 even has adaptive Hz, so you save battery. It is very good build quality. I think the Pro versions of iphone have the best build quality in terms of feel, but s23 is right behind. And when you put a case, you can't notice. This is why s23 should be compared to 14pro in terms of features. If we get to the price point, then s23 even wins against 14 pro. I was able to take mine on the preorder deal from a mobile operator for 650$ for the bigger 256GB with ufs 4.0. And ufs 4.0 is a lot faster than Nvme. So if you think about the advantages that ios had over android over the years, they are gone. UFS 4.0 > Nvme, Camera is better in android , you get 4 main versions and 5 years security patches in terms of software support. The perfomance and efficiecny of the Snapdragon is right there with the a16. In terms of games, it is even better. The only reason you would get an iphone nowadays is for the Ecosystem. I don't see any other real advantage.

I have been trying to switch to iOS for quite some time but the inflexibility of the iOS kept me coming back to Samsung (android). I also do not get why the tech youtubers claim that iPhone is camera king. In my experience, Samsung is leagues ahead. To give you some context, I am still rocking a S9 from 2018, since then, my GF (now wife) and friends have had iPhone X, Pixel 3, iPhoneXS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, OnePlus 8Pro, iPhone 13. I mean these are the phones we have compared our photos with. TBH, unanimously almost 90% of the time everybody prefers photos clicked with S9m even the guy who is an apple fan and rocks an iPhone13. I am not saying S9 doesn't have faults, the battery life is not good, not the fastest phone (damn you Exynos version) but there's something about the curved display and the feel of the touch (my wife has iPhone 13 now and I don't know why the screen feels more plasticky compared to S9). Not to forget, the screen is the best I have ever seen, even better than the new Samsungs, it is a QuadHD+ screen with blacks so deep, I can't find the bezels in room conditions. Then the Gravity 3. TMobile MyTouch. I never owned an iPhone. My aversion to iPhones started with the easily cracked screens era. Fast-forward, I'm a graphic designer with a 2021 MacBook Pro and will always preach Mac laptops regardless of profession but I just do not like iPhones and no I dnt care abt FaceTime and iMessage ecosystem. I dont care abt the blue/green drama. I love the interface on Galaxy more than iPhone. I like to manually pay with my credit cards, not my phone. I've always been sort of hybrid.
Granted, I don't embrace a lot of great features on any of the devices (I never use Siri or Google voice, multi-tasking, etc) but my most minimal usage peace of mind has always been with Samsung. Also yes, Samsung Galaxy phones are just more beautiful and reliable design-wise and durability-wise to me.

Great video. Well, it is all subjective, comparing a new phone with one that is a generation older. It does all boil down to which ecosystem works best for the user. Also with the iPhone you get better battery life, a slightly faster chip even though it is older and longer software support than Samsung

    • @spike5499

nope, there are battery tests that prove the S23 lasts longer than the iPhone 14. The S23's chip is also faster in real world use, and ever since 2020 Samsung phones have been getting 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates. So basically everything you said is false 😂

Long time user of ios since 2013, but just recently I switched to android (vivi x90 pro).. my reasons are
    1) apple is not innovative anymore. Just make some adjustments in old tech and increase the price heftily
    2) it’s 2023 , and iPhone is still charging with 20w brick.. any avg android phone now comes with 25w charging speed.. when you’re spending > 1000 usd , I expect warp charging
    3) apple isn’t providing individual app lock
    4) apple still not able to segregate pics in different folders. There should be a totally different folder for camera pics. In gallery everything gets at the same place in recents
    5) iPhone is still not customisable. I expect different fonts, different themes
    6) call recorder - because of my profession I desperately required call recorder. This is the reason I always required carry two phones - one personal no (iPhone) and another professional
    7) no app clone
I’m looking forward to buy next version of 23 ultra.. I’m totally happy with android system.. I’m also replacing my MacBook and ipad now .. apple just wants you to get trapped in their system and keep spending money

I had the option to go either way with my replacement, but chose to stick with what I'm familiar with (I am sure that is somewhat a deciding factor for most people) It also helps that I already have everything setup on my Samsung account so everything was pretty painless transitioning process between upgrading phones.

The big difference at a glance is the LCD vs the OLED screens. The samsung makes the iphone look way older when compared by these but I know the latest iphones now have OLED. I don't know if I want to upgrade both yet or if I should wait for the next year.

I don't think you mentioned that the S23 has an always on display, did you? For me, that's a big deal. I love the S23 and I think that overall it's a better phone but the biometrics aren't great and that's a deal breaker for me. The fingerprint scanner doesn't work all the time...if you have a glass screen protector it's terrible (yes, I know you have to re-register your fingerprints and enable touch sensitivity it's still very bad). I wound up going with a plastic screen protector which is better with fingerprints, but still not perfect. Also, the face unlock is really bad so don't count on that as your main way to unlock. I wound up enabling smart unlock which allows me to just swipe up to unlock when I'm at home. The iPhone's Face ID works literally all the time in ALL lighting conditions. It's smooth, seamless, and reliable. I would gladly have a notch on a Samsung phone any day to get that reliable and consistent unlock experience.

0:20 well, I have a Macbook and a iPad but I still went for the Galaxy S23 and I don't have any regrets. I love Apple. I had multiple iPhone's in the past and have a MacBook Pro. My last phone was an iPhone 13. However, I traded my iPhone 13 in for my Samsung Galaxy S23 back in February. I don't regret it one bit. Galaxy S23 is an amazing phone, amazing battery life and great performance. Full charge lasts me a full day. Absolutely love this phone. As much as I love Apple and I love the iPhone's, I love Samsung's phone's even more. I love the fast charging on them and the battery life on them is incredible (battery life is a huge thing for me on electronics). Every time I have an iPhone, I always seem to miss having a Samsung. I think Samsung has officially won me over when it comes to phone's.
