German viewer here: The main reason why these Dash Buttons were outlawed was as stated in your brief screenshot, that they didn't give quite literally _any_ information about the transaction to the user.
In Germany, by law, no contract of any kind can ever be legally binding without both parties having full and pre-signing knowledge of all relevant critical aspects thereof, and for sales transactions specifically, the buyer needs to be informed of the price, quantity (i.e. do I get 1 liter or just 500 ml), quality (new/used/refurb) _before_ the buyer ever agrees to a purchase.
Thus with those Dash buttons, under german law, not a single button press would constitute a legally-binding contract if ever challenged in a court of law.

It doesn't really say that the internet has a short memory; what it is really saying is that there is way too much crap going wrong in this world to only focus on one clusterfuck for years, no matter how disruptive.
Flashbacks I had the HTC Evo 4G on Sprint and I had the OG Droid…absolutely loved the Droid - it was so satisfying to slide that keyboard open. I also remember that the HTC never once had 4G lol

10:53 I used my Zune HD until the pc software stopped working. There would be a blank screen when I plugged it into the computer, but my podcasts would update. I used that thing for years before it finally stopped.

We had hockey puck mice in secondary school before we got the white CRT macs. For smaller hands it was pretty comfy ngl, also the matching keyboard was pretty nice

Glad you mentioned the capture card feature it’s a game changer using iPad as a monitor with very low latency. Having a Mac mini it’s the best portable set up instead of bringing a whole laptop and iPad with magic keyboard. For a hub the new charjen usb c hub is one of the best for the price since it’s got uhs 2 speeds. Also a cover buddy case with a Smart Connector for the Magic Keyboard is a must for me. Has a pencil holder so it don’t fall off and protects the sides unlike the Magic Keyboard.
Not seen nicam mentioned for years lol I totally agree. I’ve been hooking up tvs to audio for years. A soundbar can be helpful if it’s integrated into a larger system. There are many tricks on audio these days such as atmos. The phantom speakers work to a degree but you can never beat a real speaker. Some soundbars create a good audio stage but usually you have to be in a specific place for it to work. I think the more speakers the better. Thanks your vids make me laugh I’d love to hear your system I bet it’s unreal. Thanks keep it up
I bought a Fire Phone for $189 when they were clearing them out. It was barely ok as a second phone. It was heavy.
can we say at this time, Austin straight up called the Apple Vision Pro without really knowing but assuming apple had plans for a device for AR/VR tech.
The moto z series?? With the moto attachments?? Surprised you didnt bring that up…they had a 5g mod waaay before 5g caught on…..jbl made a two different speaker attachments…theres a protector attachment…several battery packs…i think a polaroid camera too🤷♂️
I actually loved the apple mouses with only one click.
I always rebind my right mouse click to the most useless key, CAPS LOCK, and I never needed the right click button

I truly believe you guys should do a review on the Sony minidisc Walkman. The mini disc, to me, was ahead of its time.
The fact that you were able to record onto a disc was amazing but what blew my mind was how if I didn't like a song after a while I could just delete that one specific song without it deleting my entire disc as well as if I didn't like my song arrangement I could arrange the songs to play in a certain order.
I'm a DJ so this was more of a benefit to DJs, songwriters, composers, etc than to an average listener.
This thing was first released in 1992. Way ahead of its time.
I still use an rca Lyra mp4/mp3 player. Total success 👌

36:24 - The HTC EVO 4G was my first ever smart phone back in 2010. And I can tell you it was NOT $200 on contract matt. It was $300 on contract. Which to this day is the the most expensive phone I have ever owned. And let me tell you what a spectacular POS that phone was. The first EVO i had got to the point where it would restart itself constantly so I returned it to sprint. Their replacement program gives you a refurbished replacement phone. The problem with that was that I ended up going through 7 refurb. phones in a 1 year period. I ended up using WAY too much data on sprints supposedly "unlimited" data plan and was promptly let out of my contract and black listed from using sprint in the future. They told me I was in the top 1% of data users in the USA at the time. A fact im still proud of to this day.😁
Betacam (commercial broadcast standard) was a completely different format Betmax and by the late 1980s VHS had improved to the point that it was on pair with Betamax. Laserdisc was king anyways.

Zune HD with Zune pass was phenomenal.
I always thought the Amazon button should have done a tap and hold or ask to confirm with another tap if there is like 4 clicks in a row or something haha.
You wanna know a fun fact about the sssstick? Its inside mechanism was made with mercury. If youre controller was broken and it leaked on you you had had trouble. Mecury is a very posionness metal!

The Amazon fire phones were tied to AT&T but they were exclusively sold at Staples for the first 6 months, I was a staples Master tech at the time and the promotional crap they tried to bribe us with was not worth the cost of the service or device

I had that Halo Edition Zune which was beautiful and I could not figure out how to put music on it without deleting everything that was already on it. With me being me I accidentally deleted all the Halo music and I immediately returned it to GameStop 😅😂

i build guitar effects and tube amplifiers. tubes are vacume tubes, transistors are what replaced the tubes in the 40 or 50 the first transistor came out made from germanium and then silicon were released, everytime you say transistor tube i like AAHHHHHH, thats not a thing haha

The apple superdrive possibly is the only drive that is less problematic using on mac os. Ive used many brand name compatible disc writers and they always have issues finalizing and end up killing blank cd's. (n u t s)

The Zune HD is still one of my favorite devices for music. I LOVED the Zune software for PC, so much easier to use than iTunes has ever been. And the Zune UI for the Zune HD was so beautiful, I keep hoping that UI would somehow become a music app on Android but it never happened. Get with it Microsoft, you'd become the biggest 3rd party music app in the world if you released that.

LMAO here I am still using my Apple Watch 3, I got it back in 2019 a couple years after it's release and its still kicking strong. I even gave it to a family member for about 6 months while I was using an Android phone, I'm back on iPhone (obviously) and I love my watch. I honestly only use it as an actual watch lol but Apple Pay is the only other function I use on it, the gimmick for me was over pretty quick. The only other thing I like about the new Apple Watches are the fall detection and crash alert, great life saving features (that shouldn't cost such a premium).
Also never had an issue with updating my watch due to storage? Even with all the apps and settings saved it's able to upgrade it's software no issues, not sure what they're saying?

I will never buy a Samsung tablet or phone and I liked the zune. It was underrated. I got mine for $50 and I liked it a lot. It was bulky but it did what I needed.

My late 2010 iMac came with the magic mouse. It was identical to the one today except it took an AA battery instead of having a lightning port on the bottom. So, somehow they managed to make it even worse. I hated that fucking mouse so much.
