NEW VIDEO IN HD: • (HD) Origami Lily/Iris... Follow me on Facebook to be the first to know what my next video will be! / tadashiorigami Classic origami iris flower. Nice gift idea for your girlfriend =)
Two attempts, two lilies. Thank you so much for making the process so easy. The lilies are so pretty. Even though I only have white paper, they still look fantastic.
Around 2:10 it shows the final product, and i thought it was going to be thatpicture for the rest of the video, kind of a "and thats mthe gist of it" kind of thing. but then i was relieved the tutorial continued, and giggled, because i think of that as "remember what your making" mantra.
You make it so clear to follow, and I appreciate the way you fold toward the camera instead of yourself so we can see exactly what is what- I'm a beginner but made a decent iris thanks to you.
It is possible. I used to make these a few years ago, and used this video to refresh my memory so as to teach a friend who has absolutely zero origami experience...took a little while, but even she was able to make a decent version of this flower. Keep trying, use the pause button, study some basic origami, etc. Good luck.
For anyone wondering what the hell is happening at 3:33, you fold each of the tall points back down to the bottom one, and fold the bits over as usual to do the other three sides. Took me a few rewinds to work out what was going on, I was with you until that part! Nice vid otherwise though, thanks! Got a pretty decent flower in front of me now :D
this origami bring me memories, this is one of the first origamis that i didnt learn but find out how to do it by myself, is beautiful and easy when you practice how to do it
THANK YOU! this vid was very helpful! learned to make two black iris origami flowers for a valentine's gift thanks to this vid. I was watching another video but the lady was too far from the scream and it was impossible to tell what she was even doing! this was the MOST helpful vid i found. origami is HARD! i had no idea X) and i loved the song actually. and if u think its fast then pause the video maybe?
I tried to make origami hearts and messed it up each time, but when I tried this Iris flower I got it on my first shot! WEIRD. It was a pretty Origami too, and I even walked around the house and showed my family my paper flower LOL. They thought it was so cool! Muito Obrigado! :D
I started origami a month ago or so, i must tell you that girls usually love this things, keep trying doing it if you cant now, it may look hard but this flower is relatively easy, try hard¡¡¡
@franky280 The song is "3 Gatsu 9 ka" by Remioromen, is used in the Japanese drama "1 Litre no Namida". I really recommend you to see it, it's really sad, based on a true story but really beautiful and I recommend to listen "Konayuki" by them too. I hope you will see it! By the way I'll do this origami! ^^
@strambus08 i dont think it matters, but for me, i used copy paper. just take one corner and go straightly diagonal and fold it like that. there should be a bit of a rectangle left over. cut it off or something. then u got a square :P
Thanks for the instruction, i had alot of problems but i finish and i love the result... ^x^ The song is 3rd of march (Sangatsu kokonoka) by remioromen
i like this very mutch, im just a starter so it thought this one whas going to be a nice start to origami, i liked it alot to make this one. i love ya videos please keep posting new ones =)
I MADE IT!!!!!!! wow !!! its perfect!!!! so hard to do it... i have to look very close the video and stop it too many times... but i made it !!! Thx man!
I was doing it but halfway I changed my mind about the artistical direction my flower was taking, so I decided to make a rock instead, it was fairly easy. You rule XD.
@weerydocee You have to have 4 sides, He means that you have already done one so you need to do 3 more So you should have 4 in total, I hope this helped you :)
i made one but my folds are so disgusting and unclean that it didn't turn out the prettiest flower. How do you do such nice clean folds, its amazing. I guess i'll keep practicing and hopefully get it just right one day.
im giving mine to my girlfriend it came out great dude the only problem i had was two of the pedals looked weird so i folded it abit to make it look better.. really easy too got it on my first try

Are you two still together?
Two attempts, two lilies. Thank you so much for making the process so easy. The lilies are so pretty. Even though I only have white paper, they still look fantastic.

Don't listen to people who tell you to slow down, that's what a pause button is for. This is a nice tutorial, and works out great.
