The new F15EX will be the pinnacle of air intercept missions. Extremely fast, long range, and able to hold 22 a/a missiles. Basically it will be able to get to a position fast, stay in a position for a long period of time, and still have a huge arsenal to work with. Also with the drone support systems coming into play, it won't be a one aircraft job anymore. A network of drones carrying missiles deployed over a vast region all communicating with a central fac aircraft just designating targets for them. Or vice versa, same network feeding targets to a central platform like the F15EX carrying the latest amraams capable of engaging enemy aircraft 100 miles away.
