My dad bought a 1959 retractable hardtop like this one for my mom to drive. It was 1967 and my dad had more fun with it than my mom did. My mom was 4 foot 10 tall and it was a lot of car for her to handle. It was solid Colonial White with a black, white and gold interior. It may have had power windows - I don’t recall. Sadly, we lived in Minnesota and by 1968, the rockers were rusted out. She got a new Falcon Futura Sports Coupe that year!
I owned a 1957 Ford Skyliner Retractable Hardtop while I was a Sophomore in High School in 1971 and sold it 14 years later in 1985 to a man in Berkeley, CA. It had a custom installed rebuilt 390 Cubic Inch Ford Engine, Electric Fuel Pump, 4 Barrel Holly Carburetor, 4 Speed Transmission, American Mag 5 Spoke Wheels, Goodyear Polyglass Tires, Black Side Exhaust Pipes, Painted White with Black Interior.
Wow uss skyliner, from the batcave 🦇, gourgeus car absolutly awsome 😊😊😊 😊 thanks Jay grams president of volo auto museum and russel for perfect photografy from tom your friend now and always 😊😊

4 speed on the floor?
@@mrknotthall It came with a 292 engine and 3 speed on the column. That was changed when a 390 with a 4 speed was installed.
I've wanted one of these since I first saw one, about ten years ago.
Beautiful three-tone flip top box.👍 Super nice interior much like a 58 impala.
Very nice Ford. Thanks Jay!

Прекрасен автомобил. Поздрави от България
Good looking car, but the clock isn't working!
Most don’t
I had a hardtop convertible it was a push button 1956 in the roof just lay down in the turtle just like that one 🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗
Don’t think so. They were made in 57-58-59. Not in 1956.
Pull those skirts for a much cleaner look!
Nyce ryde at a fair pryce J
How much it cost? Thanks!
What a beautiful car. To keep everything functional would be full time maintenance.
