Lyricists would always outperform “stand alone rappers” in cyphers.
They would make sure that listeners “do some work” before comprehending what they want to put across, unlike “rappers,” who wouldn’t mind to infuse lines just to complete a rhyme scheme.
Sarkodie is a good rapper, who makes good rap music but he is NOT a lyricist, which is why placing him in 3rd position on this cypher is objective.
Some top GH lyricists now are Manifest, Lyrical Joe, Obibini and Teephlow.
These guys would always perform excellently on cyphers because of their lyricism - their rhymes are DEEP

Been listening to MI since “Crowd Mentality,” and I can tell you that his cyphers aren’t that great. I’ll take Loose Kenyon, AQ, and Blackbonze’s verses over him in the ones they did together. And M.anifest was better than the rest in the last Hennessy cypher. He’s my fav, but just like Sark fans are claiming, MI goes there to show that he has nothing more to prove.

@@judeudeagha8885 you’re right, Modo was so good, and probably ahead of his time. Even when Nigerians dig and did a lot more rap, he was too deep for them. He tried to stay hardcore but Naija want commercial music. That was why he did the song “Nigerian Girls,” to show his commerciality. But he’s OG, he won’t get involved with recent rap cat, unless they reach out.

Everybody on the cypher had a MESSAGE & they all delivered alongside other elements of rap but Khalil J. & Ladipoe took everything to the next level coz they came more prepared.
Sark had the opportunity to really prove he's the best in Africa but chose to focus more on his message instead & that's a disappointment. It's a cypher

Jay Z had the best verse in God did even in passing a message and stating his accomplishments so because Sark was passing a message doesn’t mean he can’t be lyrical or have the best verse. As a rapper you have to be competitive at all times especially in a cypher like this. You can’t imagine Eminem not trying to be competitive in a cypher, nah. Even though you choose to pass a message. So let’s stop giving Sark an excuse, his verse was dope but Ladipoe and KJ had the best verse. Either of the two can come first is fine by me.

Sark have nothing to do to prove himself after all this years of being one of the highest pedestals in African rap industry. Flow, punchlines, cadence, etc he has been that guy and the facts are out there in the public.
He is basically untouchable at this point and so he doesn’t really rap anymore. he talks about his surroundings, societal and industry issues.
Issues that artist are scared to talk about because they might be cancelled and Sark toole it upon him self to be their mouth piece and he likes to do that any time he get the opportunity to be on a big platforms… he recently dropped an EP Album and we all know the waves it still making on the continent.
Mind you this cypher was about african rap music so then figuring what his colleagues would commonly like to rap about why not address relevant issues that can open the eyes of up coming and emerging artists across the continent.
obviously all other rappers on this cypher still probably have something to prove but i am not here to talk about them, its cool like that.
Talking about how he was he started his journey and where he has gotten to,,, tell the message of how most artist are being cased because of some contract and being able to be successful as he has become i think is the most responsible thing any old gee like sark will wanna do for the young ones.

Ghana's *Aflao* side of the border crossing level he is right now and that's where he has always been.
You either come correct or go home in Cyphers. You need to go hard and stretch your lyricism and rap features regardless of whatever message or theme you aim to pass. If you consider yourself an OG, you should flex your braggadocio, remind the yungins of your status and show your superiority. Cyphers are not for soft-bellied simple rhymes and weak jabs. It is for haymakers and uppercuts all through. Sark didn't do enough of this, so I'd also put him below. Besides, Sark wasn't saying anything new because the issues he was addressing have become increasingly obvious to music lovers. There is evidence from other artists and Khali Jones also touched on the same problems in his Lwanda Magere track 3 years ago.
