Home Free are ordinary guys who work together to produce something extraordinary. When performing they create an environment in which the audience members become participants in the show. They are flat-out amazing!
I noticed something with this video. They do not exploitively use women in their videos. This one in particular, with the message of the song, they guys took on those roles themselves. The playfulness, Chris lying on the ground in a typical "female" way as used in so many videos and movies, etc, playing with unicorns and ponies, and playing with the hair the way they do. Think back over the other videos, even Butts Remix and although they had women dancing, it wasn't in an explosive way. When they do directly interact with women in their videos, it is their significant others. A subtle but strong message for how you treat women.
It's cool that you noticed that. That is their intent in both videos. They enjoy poking fun at themselves so the original message remains. It all depends on who sings the song ... if a woman sings it comes across wrong. But when a guy sings it it's more positive and reassuring to some people that hears a man tell her that she's beautiful.
