Same on a 3070. Runs about the same with similar settings and looks pretty much identical. The graphics settings are super optimized.

I got 4K 60hz monitor and 6800, also plays at native 4K all max setting. Most of the time 60fps, but occasionally drops to 55 fps. So I reduced my monitor pixel to 3840x1920, a bit widescreen (which is nice, easier spotting zombies around the edges), now 60fps all the time.

try a 144hz 1440p monitor with a strong gpu. 4k is overrated, same for 240hz (+).
@@shredder108 tried 1440 with my 32 inch 4K monitor, it’s playable but picture isn’t sharp at all. It’s not I don’t want higher fps, but will not spend extra money on 1440p which looks worse, especially I am playing AAA game’s most of the time now.

do you guys find the trees in the distance are fuzzy? i have everything maxed out with my 4080 at 3440x1440p.
Try turning off the AMD FidelityFX Variable Rate Shading, it's use is to improve performance by the luminance quality of the previous frame and applying it to the current frame and so on. This affect is similar to the AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution or NVIDIA's DLSS I uses an AI based algorithm to add upscaled quality that takes parts of the previous frame and add it to the current one, for example in Cyberpunk 2077 they just add Path Tracing which is gorgeous but even for my super computer (which includes an AMD Ryzen 9 7900x, a NVIDIA GeForce 4080, 64 GB Ram and everything is running of an NVMe M.2 1 TB SSD) it still requires DLSS 3 which makes everything blurry and painful to look at. I wanted everything to look nice in Dead Island 2 which could also be the reason everything is blurry because the game is trying to raytrace the tree leafs also so I turned all of the raytracing settings to low, which include, shadows, ssao, indirect shadows, screen space reflections, and shading quality. post processing should not effect the tree blurryness but if it is still noticeable just turn it to low. hope this helps have fun decapitating zombos :)
turn anything to do with fidelity fx, you've got a 4080 and its 39 % faster than my current card same res too, barely drop from 70 fps usually avging 85fps. u dont need it
