Today we are unboxing my very first Mini Dollfie Dream doll, and giving her a complete faceup from scratch! Dollfie Dreams are super pretty anime-style dolls from the Japanese company Volks. I’ve wanted to own one for so long, and the day has finally come!

I don't know much about Dollfies, but I've heard the name before. I had no idea their bodies were vinyl.

Dollightful Hi! Dolfies are amazing dolls, if you can afford one of course. I always loved how people can transform their dolls whether they get heads with or without the eye holes. I've seen some dolfie transformations into anime characters like Ciel Phantomhive from kuroshitsuji or Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew

Oh my gosh, she's so pretty! I love the turquoise in her eyes, they compliment your faceup so well. As for names, I honestly think Minnie will be a nice name.. it sounds like Mini which is the type of dolfie she is, and you said her hair replicates yours. A miniature you.. Minnie

Thank you SO SO much! I was so scared of doing faceups before I watched this video! I'm trying to make a mochi ashi little sister for my smartdoll, and I didn't like the Liliru model for that, so I was going to buy a blank head. This is SO incredibly helpful- and shows that you don't need the fanciest things to do a good faceup! Thank you!!!

She's so precious!! I personally like the name Mimi (if that's how you spell it). It sounds very cute and, since she resembles you a bit it can be like some "oh so clever" name since "Mi" obviously sounds like "Me." Just an idea though. I do hope you'll be showing us any clothes that you make for her. c: Those lashes were absolutely perfect though and they go really well with the eyes!! I'm just on love with this custom already! c:

Congrats on your very first Dollife Dream to your doll collection family! ^^ I'm very interest at getting my very own Volks BJD doll... I think ether Smart Doll or Dollife Dream to customise of my own character. Since I love to have a personal/office assistant while working at my office. And while my doll holding my phone while charging and such. I like mostly to put them as a decor display on shelfs or in the dollhouse, Take photos, dress them up and the most part of all is to create your own great characters into the doll. Once I raise money for it. ^^;
They are quite expensive, but so pretty! I hope you can get one soon!

Thanks! It does look a little mature, but I kind of like it because I want her to look super cute, but not too much like a little kid. More of a young woman with a childlike features : )

Congratz on your girl! She's super cute! However I have a question ~ how did you get over the fear (if there was any) of just going for it faceup wise? I have a girl coming in and I've done a basic DD faceup many years ago when I was younger and wasn't quite the perfectionist I am today. I really want her to look perfect but drawing the eyes really scares me! Any advice?

I’m using faber castel water color pencils on my dollfie face up but I can’t erase it like you do yours. I have to use a little water to get it and wipe it off. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, my name's Alessandra and I'm starting now to learn how to face up Dollfie Dreams. I wanted to ask what exatly did you use for the face up! Thank you ^^ And the Doll is really cute!
I used Mr. Super Clear as a sealant (and of course a respirator mask for protection when I sprayed it outside), Prismacolor watercolor pencils, Mungyo soft chalk pastels (the cheaper ones), and a bit of Liquitex acrylic paint. Plus various brushes, Q-tips...and I think that's pretty much it!
Do you know about pullip dolls? They cost like 100-200€ (I have 2) I'd love to see you doing a face up for one :3 And will you ever start selling doll clothes? :3 It would be amazing if I could buy some clothes for my dolls 💕
Oh yes, I have a Pullip doll that I won in a giveaway! She already has a custom faceup by Valley Doll, so I won't be changing that, but I do have plans for a new wig/outfit for her (someday)!
