Gravenberch and Szobo are outstanding under Slot and Mac Allister is doing that invisible work even better than he did under Klopp, with a bit more dynamic coverage from the former two. This midfield trio is shaping up to have just about everything you'd want in a modern game, progressive runs, progressive passing, pressing, dispossessing and the lungs to do it throughout the game. The thing that scares me is overdependency on those three and lack of rotation. With the international break, Slot could afford to run practically the same players throughout the three games knowing the players will be gone, but when they come back games will come thick and fast and those three won't be able to keep this up. With the exception of Curtis, neither Harvey nor Endo have to legs to last the game like this. Curtis has the energy to run people down but not the dispossesing ability of the current three. I guarantee you the moment we see a game with either one of the three thrown in this midfield, we'll look drastically different. But we've got time until that. Right now, I'm just enjoying just how controlled and yet energetic we're coming across on the pitch. Arsenal and City with their press will be the true test of the system, but so far so good.
When we signed Gravenberch I was over the moon, and I knew he has the quality to be a key player in our system. Even though he had a rocky start last year I had the faith in him. He is a very underrated talent and I was wishing we signed him from Ajax back in the day before Bayern signed him. It has all payed off now! And hopefully he has more to show!
Slot building on what Klopp left behind. He’s more professional and tactical and knows how to rotate players. And we don’t allow primadonnas at our club. Klopp focussed more on mental motivation but Slot is more process oriented and matter of fact. In short, Slot Machine is more system based. Great Mo Trafford performance again!
I don't think what Salah said necessarily means he will leave, I just think they haven't offered him anything yet and he's just assuming. I guess we'll see what happens. I think now that the transfer window is closed we'll start seeing more about these contracts.
I think giving Salah 2 more years as long as he understands we can't raise the money is sound. Then have the opportunity to sell him after one of those years, there are still clubs who would pay 40-50 million for a 34 year old Salah.
Prime Klopp this would have been a 5-0 win but an injury to Jota. Absolutely loving this side and these players. Arne looks like a Benitez with a budget.
Personally, I'm more excited with how our squad and style of play is coming along rapidly under Slot than beating United. Pretty much every player is flourishing and playing with much more, dare I say, freedom. The biggest development I have seen is the calm coolness being instilled into every player in our squad. It's exciting to witness. For a very long time I have wanted that ruthlessness and inevitability that our 2018-2020 squads possessed, back. Those teams gave me a taste and greed for winning which I can't deny anymore. I want us to win and keep winning like Shankly always intended.
Diaz drove me nuts in the first half when it was 0-0 and gave the ball away two or three times. He kept digging and scored the two goals. Our defense this year is giving me less palpitations during the game and maybe that's the real 'eye test'

I am starting to really enjoy this SlotBall, one thing I think I saw is that the team's new patience forced United to make some rushed mistakes. Liverpool look like a team, United don't.
Im very happy with how those 11 are playing, but nunez and gakpo arent seeming too effective in this system and we havent seen proof that our backup mids work in this system. Im worried that when the fixtures get packed and we inevitably get some injuries, we wont be able to keep up.

Happy with the win but I'll still say that no one has tested the squad yet. Fixture congestion and quality opposition will really show where we stand in the entire scheme of things. Don't forget Yoro, Hojlund both missed the game due to injuries.
I am really happy for Luis Diaz. His family had a terrible experience last season, but this season he is like a new man, and he is playing great. I think also that he is probably very grateful to LFC for the way the club supported him during the family crisis.
It’s good start for sure. We looked in control and could have beat them by a couple of more goals but we managed the game well. But don’t forget that Alison again saved us 2/3 times.
Honestly if gravenberch can bulk up a little to give himself more strength he can be a top #6. He already has the height and football intelligence to play the position but he just lacks that strength in a tackle.
The Nunez situation is hard, he makes runs and we don’t ping the ball to him. Reminds me of when we signed Ballotelli, we played the ball into his feet when he wanted it on his head and vice versa. Darwin has lots of talent, I just don’t think he will show it under Slot.
agree with all youve said but as well i think there are positives, this is a squad getting used to a system that will soon gel and the playstyle will become muscle memory, players will make their roles their own and the overall level will be a lot higher. as bad as united are i think taking 3 points from old trafford is incredible work, it was never easy for klopp to do so its no mean feat this time, united still have unbeleivable players capable of causing damage to any team in the world so them causing liverool issues, regardless of form is to be expected. i liked that van dijk said something along the lines of he was dissapointed that the score was only 0-3 cus it shouldve been more. but still, 3 clean sheets, controlling games, forwards absolutely unplayable, midfield full of energy, a composed defence and a smart and adaptive coach with new but similar ideas, the only way is up (barring injuries, touch wood)
It's nonsense to think he has some deal he would consider elsewhere and there's literally been NO indication of this. He's shown - even by his words today - he WANTS to stay but he hasn't been spoken to yet. This is no time to be concerned at all. FSG are clearly measuring how much he still contributes for this season and then balance the offer they make to him going forward; same for Virgil.
Course they do. Lot of these loud "new fans who know nothing, follow bs narratives, lose their heads, and then it's all differnt anyway, again and again, every window
I would love to keep Salah, but not at any cost. A a stupidly high cost, yes, but there will have to be a cut-off. I really hope that he knows he won't be able to be such a key player anywhere else and that he isn't ready to move to a sub-par league just for the end-of-career cash.

While being soild unit at the back, Alli left his mark in the game with 2 or 3 crucial saves, (from close range) continuing the clean sheet streek 🆙! Big Virg and Ibou patroled like prison giuards outside and inside the box limiting United from creating chances! 🛡️ Diaz and Salah are on fire 🔥⚡, but also credit to their effort in defense! Szobo Rayan and Macca controled the middle of the park, by winning most of their duels and supplying the forward line with forward and direct passing. Finally, our manager has prioritised the defence. Last year was exhausting for the whole squad
Just give mo 2 more seasons ❤❤
discord link is invalid btw
Szoboslai is like playing Jordan Henderson in the 10. He needs to catch a wake up offensively and offer a threat.
agree with all youve said but as well i think there are positives, this is a squad getting used to a system that will soon gel and the playstyle will become muscle memory, players will make their roles their own and the overall level will be a lot higher.
as bad as united are i think taking 3 points from old trafford is incredible work, it was never easy for klopp to do so its no mean feat this time, united still have unbeleivable players capable of causing damage to any team in the world so them causing liverool issues, regardless of form is to be expected. i liked that van dijk said something along the lines of he was dissapointed that the score was only 0-3 cus it shouldve been more.
but still, 3 clean sheets, controlling games, forwards absolutely unplayable, midfield full of energy, a composed defence and a smart and adaptive coach with new but similar ideas, the only way is up (barring injuries, touch wood)
What worries me is the lack of news on renewing contracts. It seems Mo is leaving but what about Virgil and Trent.
amazing performance- would like to see elliot in place of szoboslai next match for a change
Why?
@@RawliglatXElliott doesn't deserve a chance?
@@antonisvrotsis9713 if you’re running in a relay team and you’re winning all your races, do you switch it up?
@@aguywithoutaworry does, but maybe as a sub? Job of the coach is to build a winning team, not to give players chances for the sake of it.
Elliot should rub the bench he's not that good bro garbage player szobo is him probably feeling sorry for manure
box optics sorted , GG
Is it true that Slot ordered a training session after the team returned to Anfield because they didn’t work up much of a sweat at Old Trafford? 😂😂😂
Klopp left a good team and I do like slot as well.
All our players look like they are playing with a renewed purpose.
nobody rates endo anymore? weird
Course they do. Lot of these loud "new fans who know nothing, follow bs narratives, lose their heads, and then it's all differnt anyway, again and again, every window
So much space in the middle of the park for us. Gravenberch, baby❤
Mo Salah deserves a contract as does Trent.
I would love to keep Salah, but not at any cost. A a stupidly high cost, yes, but there will have to be a cut-off. I really hope that he knows he won't be able to be such a key player anywhere else and that he isn't ready to move to a sub-par league just for the end-of-career cash.
You don't think Pep wouldn't try pre - sign him on a free?
We absolutely Destroyed UTD let’s be honest could have been 5 r 6 but O g don’t care 3 Points at Very Old Trafford I’ll take that any day of the week,’O yea UTD are Dirt
United have been mid table a while now
A day to remember, performance by the whole team and the tactical discipline paid off!
Super sharp, dangerоus, extremely fast and clinical in front of goal. While being soild unit at the back, Alli left his mark in the game with 2 or 3 crucial saves, (from close range) continuing the clean sheet streek 🆙!
Big Virg and Ibou patroled like prison giuards outside and inside the box limiting United from creating chances! 🛡️
Diaz and Salah are on fire 🔥⚡, but also credit to their effort in defense!
Szobo Rayan and Macca controled the middle of the park, by winning most of their duels and supplying the forward line with forward and direct passing.
Robbo and Trent dominated the flangs with Kostas and Bradley coming off the bench and SLOT right in!
Cody and Darwin bring fresh legs and extra danger, always keeping pressure on the oposition back line, with threatening runs in behind!
WE WALK ON ✊
In Slot we trust!
Day for the history 📖
YNWA reds ⚽🔥🔴
18:25 cheeky fart 😂
We just need to calm down we have much tougher tests ahead. The aspect of going too high and too low is really distasteful. We have issues and the more Slots team plays the more our tactics will be figured out and then it’s a case of how we respond. Good start that’s all. Does Gravenberch have enough dog in him when things aren’t going well? Let’s see
Funny you mentioned that VVD and Konate looks slimmer. I think Trent looks quite trim as well.
Maybe different standards from the fitness team?
You need to call saeed asap😅
I believe that Liverpool is preparing a big packet for the 3 that are on their last year. We are known as low payers and I think that funds will increase in the contract department
Salah needs a new contract ASAP
Dude, you're now my favorite LFC content creator.
