@C0AST34 Not quite a replica because of how the station, lift, and break run are configured but honestly I love the quirkyness of the 2 lift hills. I rode it during Coaster Con last year, some older attendees told me they could definately feel the forces of the original.
great recreation...only got to go to elitch's once (summer of 1977) but rode mr. twister close to a dozen times, mostly at night with the chase lights on. have never forgotten it!
Thanks for the investment of time on this good work, brings back amazing childhood memories of this special place. The new place just never did it for me, wish we could get a real park in the front range.
The legendary hill that lifted me off my seat has to be much much steeper...and the speed needs to be much faster...its about the feel of that famous Roller Coaster! Love that you did this..those are only my suggestions. Thanks so much.
@@sebrofc When Coaster Con featured Knobles a couple of years ago, a lot of people there has ridden Mr Twister and said that Twister compares quite favourably. And then proceeded to talk about how bad modern Elich Gardens is.
Good job! I would’ve loved to have ridden this and the Wildcat at Elitch’s original location. I went to their new location at twister 2 was horrifically bad. At least I did get to ride Sidewinder, the Carousel, and some flat rides that came from the original location. Sidewinder was a trip down memory lane for me as I remember riding the Zoomerang at Circus World. It was the prototype launched loop coaster from Arrow.
This is a fun recreation. I was only nine when the park moved so I don’t remember it that well, but the thing that stood out to me was the log ride, Splinter. If you could re-create that, that would really remind me of my childhood, gum tree and all! 😂
That’s because Knoebel’s purchased the ride blueprints from Elitch Gardens and built their own version of it in 1999 after the original Elitch Gardens closed in 1994 for the new location.
I never got to ride the original, it closed several years befire I was even born. Thst said I actually prefer the layout of the new version. The quirkyness of having 2 lifts to fit it in a tighter footlprint adds to the ride. Cool to see the original for comparison though, you can definately see how the main layout is the same.
@@FerrisBueller86 They did this because 1) by that point in time Mister Twister had been sitting abandoned too long to be salvageable, and 2) at any rate, the ride as was wouldn't have fit into the needed space. So they mirrored it, modified some elements, and split the lift hill. (Besides the split lift hill, this is the contributing factor behind why the helix now wraps around the station, necessitating that the station be curved and fitted with skid brakes vs. traditional magnetic brakes.)
Outstanding graphics. I hope you you found a way to make a living doing this because you're very good at it. If you're not doing this full time and you need some ideas beyond TH-cam, I'd be happy to share some with you.

Excellent Recreation! I am so sad they tore this classic down. A really awesome coaster unlike any other!
At least they now have a replica of it that is pretty much the original!

They messed that roller coaster 🎢 up they messed up a masterpiece

I would of road it at night then the day time it was scary going in that floater

I loved this roller coaster. I would go on it endlessly when I lived in Colorado Springs. Twister II is definitely not the same ride at all.
no it's not!
There's always the version at Knoebels.
Knobles' Twister is the true revival of this ride.
Nothing about the "new" place is like the old one is it 😕

Nice recreation. You can ride a similar version at Knoebels.
I rode Knoebels' Twister to research this one! It's very fun. Real shame it couldn't be copied exactly, though Knoebels did an excellent job.
Wow. I pretty much didn't realize it was a rendering until after the drop hill.

One can definitely see the inspiration for the Twister at Knoebels in this, and I like this layout better than the current one.

Boy its seems like a different ride when it does not have the interaction with Wildcat. Never made it out there to ride it in their prime
They jacked that roller coaster 🎢 up they should of left it like it was we had the 2nd biggest and fastest roller coaster in Colorado
I left out the second biggest coaster in the country 96 feet

If you just hit right you can see the people riding the cyclone at the top of the hill if you were on mr. twister on top of there hill
Mr twister 🌀 was a masterpiece they disappointed me when they changed it
Could you at some point recreate the original Georgia Cyclone by any chance?
There are plenty of videos of that. I try to make coasters that don't have many or any videos.
I'm not sure
Could you make a twister 2 recreation?
Twister 2 is still around, and there are plenty of videos of it. I make coasters that are no longer with us and many that have few or no videos.

You wanna know what they did to the park? They built a golf course in its place!
Such a shame. The carousel house and a gazebo still stand.
RMC this puppy.
Why?
Looks very slow
It was not the most forceful coaster, except for the helix.
@@RaptorAlex even in the helix the pacing looked very bad
Watch a pov... You would pretty much stop at the top of those helixes on the real ride and be jack hammering at the bottom
The coaster was built in 64' so yeah probably not setting any speed records.
