    Where's the 1Gb Ethernet port? Just two USB-A ports and no power button? It at least connect seamless with any Logitech wireless accessories without dongles right? :/

      It's a pity that it lacks an ethernet port. And it is not cheap, either. Prefer to find an alternative.

      @JeromeDemers 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      very good point. I hope the bottom LED that light up the desk is the same as the top one. For buttons you are right but as I am sitting at my desk and looking at my setup, I believe it won't be that bad. For me the most important are the mute which are on the side. So reaching the corners of a square box without looking seems ok. Can't wait to try it.

    If this had a Kvm switch to easily switch between my work and personal computers, I would've bought this in a heartbeat. But as it is now, I don't think this is useful nor justifies the price point.

    Why would I plug my monitor and usb items into this if it’s not a KVM Switch. Pretty useless if you ask me. The industry is missing a kvm that has the throughput for a gaming setup but also lets you use your monitors, keyboard, and mouse on your work laptop without unplugging everything.

    Kind of wish it could have handled 3 monitors since my current dock can run my laptop with 3 monitors while lid is closed. Speaker/Microphone I bet are pretty nice to use, but $399 seems a bit high still to me unless they were going to bundle it with a webcam that can handle at least 1080p. $299 I think would have been a better starting point for the device by itself.

      after carefully looking through the product's I/O panel on the rear of the dock, i found a single very ambiguous USB C upstream port that could possibly be a thunderbolt port. So strange they didn't just label it a thunderbolt port if that's what it was, but it also might not be.
      All I know is I feel the same as you. If this Logi Dock supports thunderbolt bandwidth, I can make this thing my WFH center console along with my laptop, Speaker and all!

    I come through this show my dissatisfaction with the logitech brand. And in the face of this frustrating experience, I come to everyone's knowledge. I bought a Logitech mouse model M720 TRIATHLON BLUETOOTH the mouse started to present problems in the function of the clicks of the left button, so far so good, because we know that any product in its use can present faults, the problem is when it presents faults and does not have support, no technical support. Here's the tip, if you buy this product, buy it knowing that any problem with the product, there will only be the alternative of throwing it in the trash.

    Not sure why this is getting some hate. This is actually legit nice. Similar hardware for what it does is also just as expensive, but this has the benefit of being in a single device. This isn't just some shit USB dock you got down at the computer store, this is a high-end dock, and those are expensive.
    Although I know a lot of others would prefer a beefier pro version with things like ethernet, wireless phone charger, and support for 3 monitors.
    That last one is especially a big one for a fair number of jobs like media creation, software development, finance, hell journalism probably as well.

I'm looking to get the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9, and use picture by picture to have the workability of two monitors side by side on my screen, but I also want to mirror the second monitor to my television (like if I want to watch movies from my computer on my TV screen) so I will need to probably have a splitter or an HDMI port that goes out. So how would I be able to connect one MacBook Pro to this, and have it be able to connect to two monitors, and then have one of those monitors mirror out to my TV?
    What I was looking at was the Brydge Stone Pro hub, along with an HDMI splitter, to try to make this work. Would this Logi Dock be able to do what I need?

      @samlsecond8200 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      why is it a fail? i would love a single device solution to act as a conferencing speaker and dock and usb hub. its missing ethernet, so ill want a usb-ethernet dongle, but otherwise tgis seems check a lot of boxes. if the speaker and conferencing capability is solid then im likely to get it

    This looks nice. But the value just isn't there imo. For about half the asking price I could justify the premium version of what this provides... but frankly, a USB C dongle ($50 value), a speaker ($25 dollar value), and a macro board ($40 value) just don't really make it to the price you're asking for. If you threw in a KVM to 2 or 3 devices then we might be at that price point, but without that... 😬

    • @samlsecond8200
      @samlsecond8200 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes you can piece together a pretty janky and messy solution that does the same things. my desk is a nasty mess of wires and devices. its a splurge, but having a device like this would make my desk a much nicer place to be. and i sit at my desk 50 hours per week x 44 weeks per year. i have a pair of logitech conf headphones that does a great job of removing backgrounds noise, so i know they can do a great job of they put their heart into it

    • @EthanStandel
      @EthanStandel 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@samlsecond8200 I use cable ties and sticky straps to keep all my wires under the desk and under control. The cable management is so worth your time for sanities sake at the least and is a necessity if your have pets. As for the 1-touch meeting joining, I actually decided to try to code that this evening just to see if I could, and it's actually not too bad, the Google Calendar API can accept 1mil free queries in a single day, so I was able to build it for free, but I have yet to make it production ready and I haven't yet tied it to a key on my macro board.

      @@landowngaming1308 I wrote the code this weekend, but I can't post it in a comment. Turns out they have a comment filter set that is probably filtering out the link to my code (probably not allowing linking in case someone tries to link a competitor's product). If you shoot me an email (I exposed my email on my channel), then I can send you the repo. 🙂

    • @haileywong270
      @haileywong270 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, the Logi dock doesn't have the ethernet port. I am looking for a similar dock and noticed one called hidock h1. That one has a 2.5Gbps ethernet port. It would much better fit our needs. Most importantly, more useful ports with less price. So nice.
