It's cruise embarkation day! Join my friend Gary and I as we travel from Walt Disney World's All Star Sport Resort to Port Canaveral and the Disney Dream! We're sailing in a Deluxe Oceanview Family Verandah Stateroom on a four night cruise around the Bahamas. We'll be making stops in Nassau and Castaway Cay (Disney's Private Island), also including a day at sea.
In this vlog, we start out by grabbing breakfast at the All Star Sports resort Quick Service. From there, we book a Uber XL to take us the hour drive, to Port Canaveral and Disney's exclusive port terminal. Once our bags are dropped off, we're through security and checked in, we spend some time in the terminal enjoying the view from the balcony.
Once on board the Disney Dream, we make our way to Cabanas for a buffet style lunch of epic proportions! Prior to the muster drill at 4pm, we explore some of the adult only areas (such as the 18+ pool, sundeck and bar area known as The District). We briefly tour the youth activities, show how to replace a lost cruise card and finish off by showing you a room tour of our stateroom.
After the muster drill we enjoy the Sail Away Party featuring the Cruise Staff, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Donald Duck, Goofy, Daisy Duck, Chip and Dale. We then continue our walking tour of the ship with looks at The Walt Disney Theatre, the shopping and main atrium. Our show this evening wad The Golden Mickey's followed by dinner at Royal Palace.

Where did you get the ring you were talking about? (Don’t know what it’s called but calling it a twiddly ring thing sounds wrong!!). My daughter (10) has Tourette Syndrome and we’re always looking for things to occupy her hands without being too obvious. Loving the cruise so far- wish I was with you both!!

Can I just say it is so refreshing and lovely to see adults loving Disney like they are a child. I am turning 40 this year and still look at characters and experiences like this like I was 10 again!!! These moments, even as adults, are precious and so needed. It's lovely to be reminded to be a kid and just enjoy life like this and I hope, one day, to be able to do this with my husband and son.

I went on my first cruise when I was five (none of them Disney cruises though). As a child, those kid clubs were my sister and I absolute favorite thing to do. We did not want to leave to eat meals, or go off of the ship with our parents! And they were not half as neat as the clubs on a Disney cruise! I couldn’t imagine getting to experience that as a child! I hope the children that do realize how much of a privilege it is.

On embarkation we sat in Cabanas leaving Port Canaveral. There was a dolphin swimming beside the ship. It was epic. A magical memory for me and my two daughters.

We did the four-day cruise on the Wonder in 2007 and had five people (me and my sister, our parents and my 10-year-old) in the family veranda room and never felt cramped or crowded. It was the first cruise for all of us and we loved having the balcony. It's true that you get what you pay for and so much more on a Disney cruise. I'd definitely do it again.

We did the Fantasy in 2016 after 10 days at WDW. We had the Dining Plan at WDW and most of us kept our refillable cups. We used them on the cruise all the time. They hold more and are more ecological than using the paper cups.
I always get excited hearing, "See you tomorrow!" Then I remember I have to wait a week for the next vlog. My family has been watching your 2018 cruise vlog once every other month for the past two years - it was the first DCL vlog I saw when I started planning our first sailing. ⚓🚢❤

Not the point of the video but All Star Sports is my CHILDHOOD. My family went every year when I was younger (two siblings went to Florida colleges so my mom had an excuse) and seeing it just made me so happy. Now we're trying other Disney resorts so I haven't been in forever but I will always love All Star Sports specifically
