dude this is fake... they obivously designed it using data from bio-robotics and physics softwares.

@@Averagebum21 okay look at 1:37 for example. The heights of the human and the robot are completely different. The eyes are on completely different positions. If you just use an overlay you can't just replace parts of the backround but you can see through the hips and between the legs of the robot. The angle of the gun is diffrent. They even used a diffrent animation for the brick bursting. The human version has some big particels the robot version has a bigger dust cloud.
This is some serious next level SGI stuff I don't have a clue about and yes the human is animated too unless they used a deep learning program to cut him out of the scene then recorded the hole area at the same angle again. But even the fact that the helmet of the guy mirrors the surrounding pretty accurate is an inducator that they used a 360° camera or some other magic stuff to get a overview of the hole enviroment.
@Apex Master no. I think they used some high level 3d animation to design the robot and the human with an nature based dataset for the muscle and sceleton structure and a physics software code, that actually predicts how the robot would fall and move.
@Apex Master I mean the mirror of the helmet and glasses are insane. Someone who can do that can also just create the hole world.

things on both screens.
I love how this really shows that the parts in the video where people could most tell it was fake were the ones where they didn't have references. Reference is everything.

at 1:00 is possibly my favorite part, the magazine eject and pistol toss, real life the mag drops but the robot kicks it out into the air, nice details, and then the barrel had me laughing out loud
The FX is beyond reproach, but also the story telling is Pixar Shorts level good.

I don't think the kick caused the hockey stick to go flying, the force applied was too low and it goes flying shortly after the kick in a totally different direction than the kick. I feel like it's either CG or was pulled by a wire.
Or just sheer fucking badassery by Clint.

I slowed it down to try to figure it out, and it looks like Clint connects with the head of the stick, which flips it down over the actor's hand, and as he throws his hand out for balance, it just catapults the thing to the moon.
In other words, Clint's a complete badass.

This is amazing, I can't wait to see the third one, because I know it's going to be just as great, if not better. I loved the idea Clint had about them being in a cabin in the woods, maybe the robot could have a motorcycle head mounted on the wall like a deer. Again, beautiful work
You fooled my dad. He sent me a clip of this, and I told him I'm 99.99% sure this is fake because I follow robotic developments, and we're no where near the smooth movements shown here; also, there was something visually off about it. Regardless, this was believable. Incredible job, guys. I hoped you earn great revenue from these videos.

I know people who were upset that a robot was being bashed around. Now that they know it's a human, they don't care. That's kinda messed up.
The quality is so good and it looks so real that this was in Indian news showing the power of robotic soldiers.
Some questions of a curious person :
1:49 gun is an airsoft replie or it shot blank (for doing the breech movements) ?
1:53 why actors in the background doesn't do same things ? Not the same rush ? or actor fall is CGI to ?
2:08 why the human isn't in the original rush ?
