Hey, I've been through something very similar in a different organisation and I know how it takes a toll on you. Kudos to you for talking about this and being vocal about what went wrong because I know the amount of strength it takes. All the best! :)

Didi, I am also from IIEST Shibpur, 2023 batch. I appeared in PwC on-campus drive. I could not make it. I was rejected in the interview round. I also thought that I would join PwC when I make my first switch. This video turned out to be the eye opener for me. Thanks for spreading awareness of what is really happening inside these organisations.
@sakha- In IT company, no company is bad. It is about your project and the team in which you work. If you are in wrong team, your life might be tough. So spend quality time to work on your skill and switch the company if you are not comfortable. So key thing is alway try to go extra mileage in your early days in your career and try to be in top 10%. Generally we senior executives are biased in favour of top performers and have a feeling that 10% employee matters only. But in our work culture (oldest Company in the world) we treat employees with respect and try to groom them. I am 25 years in IT from JU and my son is in IIEST 2nd year IT dept
Faced a very similar situation in my first switch. Got stuck with a bad colleague and a wrong profile. The brand wasn't also prominent enough. I pulled myself and moved out in 4 months. Never ignore bad signals.
Not only pwc , i am from CGI Bangalore, it happened with me too. I think this kind pf bossy behavior is everywhere. I almost lost confidence and started feeling that i will not fit into the IT field eventhough i had 5 years of experience. My project got changed and got good team then i realised its about people.. when someone join to new project lot of things we will not aware . If colleagues give space to understand this then everything will be safe
I've worked at Deloitte and now at PwC. The work environment at PwC is comparatively better. I aim to work at all of the Big 4 accounting firms by the end of my career. It's a good place to work if you have ideas that can be built upon. But if you just want to focus on your work, it may not be a good fit.
My reason to leave PWC Acceleration Centres because of work from home. I am a pandemic passout and I had my college from home after that work from home was quite depressing.
There is a reason it's good. In Europe there is this culture of work life balance. Well mannered people . They know how to talk . That's the major difference between India and UK . In India people don't know how to talk Professionalism is not there . Jobs are not appreciated.
Heyyyy! I have been hired in PwC for an apprenticeship program. Earlier the salary was 33k ( which included HRA and PF) But after this conversation, do you think they will remove HRA?
I also worked in tcs and joined PWC and worked with for 4 months and got frustrated. My reason are: 1) they recruited me for a developer role , but at the time of joining they allocated me for a support role and even which it is a rotational shift project 2) I choose developer role only because, I can able to manage my time , then why should I sit infront of them for 24/7 3) when I ask about these to my PM and Buddy, they simply said , without project, some project is fine, why should I agree? 4) when I said I'm interested in development, and not support, they directly hit me and said, no worries you do the support for your billing, and take a leave and do his work as task which is not a billable. Why should I do? 5) as you know each project have client interview, when it happens for me, when I say I'm not interested in support and shifts, he said, if you are not agreeing with this, what will you do, we don't have bench policy. So company having no project, then why you guys hired me? 6)the project I joined is Noida based , and I'm from tamilnadu, I can't even understand their daily status call communication,, then what the hell I can merge with the team? After thinking of all these questions, I decided to quit now

Jobs expect that we should compromise our personal life for professional life. Salaried employees are slaves and are exploited, micromanaged. Appreciate your decision to leave, but you should also have complained about your senior. When they don't care about your career, why should you care about hers.
Mam, last summer I did my internship from PwC with 20k Stipend per month, i am in my last semester of MBA now, I am planning to join PwC back, can you give me an Idea how much salary or CTC i can expect as MBA fresher ?
At PWC, an employee should pe pro on technical and can handle multiple projects. If anyone is failing. It will be escalated. Dont expect any helping hand in PWC for experienced people
Two things I can understand from this video: 1. At the end, it's all about people. The people you work with, matter the most. Nothing, I mean, nothing can replace a good human relation. Yes, in workplaces it's not personal, but still having good people around you matters a lot. Even if they can't do anything from the professional side, they can make you feel better and help you learn new stuff. 2. The above point is sometimes not in our control. All of us have to move on, and find a new opportunity leaving behind the people who we love to work with. The factors can be many - money, anything personal or anything. In this scenario, everybody needs atleast one understanding person with whom you can talk to without any apprehensions. Those who have, god really bless them. Because those who don't have, times like these feel like hell.
