Hey Guys!! Thanks for all the support on this video. The video for the CONCERT where I played all of these songs is live NOW on my channel! So if you enjoyed this, please go check them out too.
not always the case, if you're looking for a more articulate sound then the bead would be the best choice, however, you get a larger more punchy sound from the neck of the stick.
I'm a beginner and looking to form a band, and I'm wondering how you formed yours. I know you got a bunch of your friends, but how did you sign up for gigs and stuff, and how do you get permission to rehearse at these places? Ty and keep up the good work!
Thanks man! I was really lucky since I formed my band through school. We have a yearly event called "Rocknight" (Video for it coming out next week) and every year we form a bunch of bands for it. One of these bands carried on outside of school (although I am still in school the other members aren't) and we rehearse at each others houses. Gig and stuff are a bit tricky until you turn 18/21 and can play at bars and stuff, so currently we just work on original music and playing at community events. Look for some battle of the bands type things is your area. Anyway, hope this helps!!
Nice work on everlong man, that song is a grind. Some tips i would reccomend just foccusing on keeping every beat consistent even when playing simple things, and id say get into working on your single hand sixteenths they can elevate alot of songs eg all the small things blink 182 which you played. Well done
@@EagerSandstoneColumns-md4no Heck yea man, don't worry it all starts slow, every new song you learn. With practice you will get it. What song are you learning?
Thanks for advice man!! Its nice to get some opinions from people in the industry. I'm not too sure about the specs of the kit as its not mine, its the rehearsal space's. Again though, thanks for the feedback and stay tuned for the full concert coming in early June

as a beginner drummer, i'm more impressed of the sole way of how you hit the hi-hat with the tip of your sticks and never the body
Thanks a lot! Its something that I focus on a lot, especially in songs like Everlong with 16th notes on the hi-hat.

The food fighter everlong was insane....wow
Thanks for posting, awesome drumming!
Keep up the good work! Loved it!
The giant space between your snare and first tom is killing me!
Hahaha, I guess I've never noticed it that much, although this kit isn't my personal one.
I play on that exact same Mapex drum set at my church! Love the sound. Good drumming!!
Yea love this school kit. Thanks!!
Your a good drummer, also I’m a drummer from Australia. Keep up the good work
Thanks!! Would love to see some of your content!
@@jacko_bye that will be sick
I bring a banana to the rehearsal and eat it during the break.
I use the bananas as my drum sticks

Everlong @5:54
what the last guy said
...
When it first started, it looked like the drumstick was bending😊
Boa noite
Pretty good 👍, slow down just a bit, let the drums sing .follow the bass player, more than anyone
👍 Thanks for the advice man!!
They got a long way to go to be pros ,,
For sure hahaha 🤣
Everlong
😮 *..._"DUDEMAN"*_ As one of our Esteemed colleague's said, "SLOW THE F-DOWN," (ok, 🤪 maybe they *_DIDN'T,_* say it quite 😆 like that...🤥😅) and let the music breathe!! Remember, at least two things, "Dynamics," with "Ebb and flow!!" Because, it is *ABSOLUTELY NOT,* an instrument foot race, for the end of the track (song!!) Ok, just don't rush things, let them fall into place, as they most certainly will!! I have grew up in a VERYYYYY musical family, while being a professional, "gun for hire drummer," in both touring & studio work. I am also, an "A1 Audio Engineer," having worked in Manhattan, L.A., and Nashville. And, with some of the greatest musicians, producers, engineers and industry leaders on the planet!! Nowwww, I say that not, just to say it, or to impress you, but rather, to be aa helpful as I can to you "young cats," that are coming up into the industry. Because, if you take care within the music business, the music business WILL take care of you! I mean....., there is quite no other business in the world, like the music business!
Finally, I will say this....., the next few rehearsals, buy and bring in four or five large pizzas, provide something in the non-alcohol drinks, department too. Also bring in both, some old friends, some new friends, perhaps even, some future friends, let them critique you guys...... NO FLUFF, NO SUGAR COATING IT, NO BULLSHIT, AND NO WARM FUZZY FEELING EITHER, IN THEIR CRITIQUING YOU GUYS!!! All That, it is sooooo important to the growth of that band, as if you don't know what'chur weaknesses are, you'll never be any stronger, better (if you will...) than those weaknesses, that's factual, moreover, it's reality!!! The music business is not crumpets and tea, on a Sunday afternoon, right!! What I'm saying is this, I am probably better at expressing my concerns, or findings, than ninety eight percent of the other industry moguls!! Having said that, I have heard a couple weak spots in these rehearsals, already, and rather than just bustin' yer ballz, right out of the gate, I will see if you or the others can point out what those are.!? Meaning, are you guys, "self-aware" of the hiccups in rehearsal!??! Again, please remember, All's I am trying to do...... is be as helpful as I can!! Because, I REALLY DON'T want to see the music industry, especially drummers, take a complete belly flop, and then, roll over and die!!!
*ANYWAY, KEEP ON KEEPING ON BROTHER DRUMMER!!!!!* 😎🤘🏼
Stay safe, be well and most importantly....., *BE YOU, ALWAYS BE YOU!!!!!!*
P.ost S.cript... Are you playing on a "MAPEAHA," or a "YAMAPEX," perhaps a "YAMEAHAX," of course, it could be....
a "MAHAPEX" couldn't it...?????? 😂 It looks to be all "Yamaha,"®️ sans a "Yamaha"®️ Banner Reso head, just replaced with a "Mapex"®️ Banner Reso head.
I am just bustin' on ya, albeit I do have a 2004 "Mapex"®️ 'Pro M,'™️ in Maple (originally made for Gregg Bissonette,) a 2007 (for production year 2008,) "Yamaha"®️ 'OAK Custom'™️ in Ash/Oak, a 2008 "Ludwig"®️ 'Accent CS'™️ in Birch (rehearsal space & tour warmup kit,) a 2011 "Pearl"®️ 'Reference Pure'™️ in Maple/Birch (Studio only use,) AND ALL OF THOSE IN "Honey Amber," like your "YAMAPEX..."®️©️™️ 😳 😂 That's kinda why I was able to make out what drum manufacturer(s) you're playing on...😉
Then... I have a 1994 [Wrapped in Fire Engineer Red,] "Pearl"®️ 'Master's'™️ in Maple (Studio & Tour) and lastly but DEFINITELY NOT leastly, a 2012 [Natural Finish] "Mapex"®️ 'Saturn-SE'™️ in Birch/Walnut, that records well, but with that 24" cannon of a kick drum... it REALLY IS HARD TO NOT, WANT TO TOUR W/THEM!!!! 🤣
Thanks for advice man!! Its nice to get some opinions from people in the industry. I'm not too sure about the specs of the kit as its not mine, its the rehearsal space's. Again though, thanks for the feedback and stay tuned for the full concert coming in early June
