Really enjoyed watching all of your videos on this series of your CT hike. It really brings back my memories of this beautiful trail. Between 2022 and 2023, I’ve completed the first 341.5 miles. I am hoping to have time this summer to finish it up. I also have a smaller hiking TH-cam channel and have documented my hikes on the CT, North Country Trail in Michigan and my AT thru-hike. I enjoy your style of videos, because you keep so positive but still show true emotion when you are feeling it. Great job and I will look forward to your next series of videos! Kamper
Yes, some of us just have to touch the trail signs. You’re right, it does make us feel more connected. Plus, when we see others do it, it brings a special smile.
Thank you for sharing! I have to live vicariously when it comes to the long trails. I would touch the PCT and TRT signs when I day hiked in California. I'm doing the same for the CT now that I live in Colorado.
Congrats on all that you accomplished! I started tearing up when you did. It really is a profound experience. I will be heading back next year to finish what I started at Cottonwood Pass. It would be lovely if our paths cross.
@@shannonthomas7720 thank you so much! 🤗 My emotions totally caught me off guard, I didn’t expect to get choked up. It’s so hard to put into words how you feel when you complete something you’ve set out to do. And it was be soooo amazing to cross paths! I am hopefully to be able to finish the trail next summer but I have some other plans so not sure if timing will be right. I also will be starting at segment 18 since that’s is where I left off last year.
I'm old & can't keep up with most other hikers but prefer solo & my solitude anyway...beautiful views today. I keep a wide mouth nalgene P bottle in tent, again, old, 2/3 times a night & I look like a turtle on it's back crawling in & out of tent....Heading to Reno today for about 2 months on PCT 😀 happy trails & God Bless!!
