I love how it’s canon that akutagawa had easily managed to put his trust into atsushi, but atsushi can’t, it shows how akutagawa, no matter how much he can hate someone (dazai and atsushi) he’ll always see the bigger picture, and when he manages to find out what kind of person atsushi is, he can trust him so easily to the point where he leaves himself vulnerable, btw, akutagawa doesn’t actually hate atsushi, at least not at the moment of his “death” he didn’t, before he got put into coma by atsushi, he only disliked him because he was dazai’s new apprentice, after that, he started hating him actually, but after atsushi basically trauma dumped to him, he didn’t hate him anymore, and put his absolute trust into atsushi 🙃
