Bobby Roy here again! I can't get enough of this super beautiful Record! What a melody, Hot but melancholy, very atmospheric and dreamy! WOW! I LOVE this!
FYI, for the transfer I've used a 2.0 mil inch elliptical truncated stylus, and the "E3" equalization curve on my "KAB VSP MKII Souvenir" pre-amp. Markus applied some additional roll-off for this upload. Due to the small label size of the Kalophon disc, the transfer had to be done using my Lenco L 75 turntable - which does NOT have an automatic shut-off at the end of discs. @@nickdellow6073 Thank you! I hope that I did okay with the transfer. It was quite a challenge because it’s got some wear and my equipment and experience is limited.
Seems like this is the only recording of the tune. Maybe someone can transcribe it for a (Kalophon) Georgians theme at Whitley Bay in the future? I'd love to visit someday, but it's too expensive for me at the moment. Greetings from Germany!
THIS IS INCREDIBLE........ NO WAY..... sorry now i see side B, here..... kalophon is so interesting, they even repressed VOX such as Formiggini and Ette.....
@@casparpolitman Yes, I also heard about this cooperation. I‘ve never seen a 25 cm Kalophon record (where they used imported matrices). I have two Guarente Kalophons and two from the session by Ländlerkapelle Wädenswil.
@mamemu i have 3 records with imported British stuff and one with Gabriel Formiggini "Oma tragt jetzt bubikopf" all 4 are 25cm, 3 have the "oaccasion" stamp, sold later at half price!
@@alexandersimon1031 Could be, but several musicians and they suggested it could also be a high pitch trumpet. There are several reasons for this hypothesis, as discussed in my short article in VJM magazine no. 200.
This was sold by another collector, who knew that Kalophons are a bit special, but he didn't really know or care about the Guarente recordings on the label. The unsold batch only contained issues 401/402, 403/404 and 405/406.
@mamemu i almost argued with american guys (i am Swiss) they said they were never sold! Kalophon had no Money they sold everything! Even test pressing, to make a few pennies! They had no luxury to not sell items
OMG! This is truly DREAMY! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL Melody! ❤❤ I can't believe my ears!

@@roybo1930 I agree, it’s got a very distinctive style to it.

So pleased to be able to hear this. Great article in VJM too.

@@casparpolitman Close… Southern German. 😅
@@casparpolitman Nice! I‘d love to have a 25 cm Kalophon. I already have three 25 cm sleeves (and all of them are different!).
It seems that there is a violin in the background at the end.

Thanks for your reply.
You‘re welcome. Thanks for the comment!
I can hear it very sweetly playing starting at 2:56 in the background!
Can we ask if you found this on the wild, or if its part of that unsold batch that dispersed in a lot of collections worldwide including mine...

@@naosoudessemundo2943 The recording was made in Switzerland but the band was American.
