講真嗰句，自稱救生艇真係唔係好正確，有過度美化及誤導之嫌。實際上，申請者要講個大話，聲稱自己完成學業回港才可成功獲批學生Visa。如果話俾佢聽想留喺度就會不獲批，咁樣就唔係一個大方地幫香港人嘅政策，佢只係為已畢業嘅香港留學生提供一個更優惠居留政策。現實講句，呢啲係有條件揀人才，交完學費要有本事在當地生活到四至五年才有永居，澳洲政府一定冇蝕底。
呢個審查制度最有智慧嘅地方，就係令申請者抵步前認清未來發展路向。往往與本地人交流的時候，都會被問及讀書後有什麼發展，自己可以有自信地解釋將來可以做什麼，而唔係俾人覺得你係「俾錢買學位」就算數。
加拿大stream a都係要講大話話返香港
Australian did not sell HKers to the CCP like Mrs Thatcher of UK. Do not expect they accept HKers unconditionally like UK. It is fair to say they have ZERO obligation unlike UK. Of course, they will help those HKers who will be beneficial to Australia by prefering young ones and skillful ones, leaving the old ones, unskilled ones behind.. My HK mate who has a daughter grew up and educated in Australia. It took the daughter 5 yrs to get her PR after graduating in Monash Uni in Melbourne. If she is going to sponsor my HK mate for family union, he need to jump on the queue for another 30 years.. He will be dead before he can come to join her daughter. The quota for family union is very small and the nos of applicants is massive. Broadly speaking, if you are not rich, not young, do not have the skills Australia wants, forget about Australia and head to UK.
@@erictang4798 What you have mentioned is exactly what I think. However, such immigration program shouldn't be labelled as 'lifeboat program' by anyone (though I'm not sure exactly how and why this term came out) as many applicants who wish to leave the city being traumatized with a broken heart would be confused with the application procedure they need to get through. If they know it is solely a skilled migrant selection program they wouldn't have hard feeling about it.
They should rephrase it. Australian provided Life boat to the hkers who are within the country interest. They treats the hkers way more lenient to settle in Australia if you are educated in Australia. It's was only one condition compared to tons of hurdles for other nationalities tho. Canada was doing the similar thing n already closed the door. I think Australia will Close the door in 2032.

It is baffling to see the amount of ignorant and egocentric Hkers on this channel so shamelessly blaming other developed countries for not keeping their immigration doors wide open for them. Beggar can't be choosers. These entitled people think the whole world owes them and clearly think too highly of themselves as Hkers. The term 'life boat' is pretty much coined by the UK media when UK government decided to provide an easy path for Hkers to live and work in the UK, but it has since been abused by HK-centric youtuber like 沈旭暉. Those who paid attention know that various developed countries, even the US, where immigration laws have been stagnant for decades, has somewhat eased its policy towards Hkers (only for the international students staying in the US since the outbreak of the HK protests). It is however not a clear path to permanent residency or citizenship. Many of these changes in immigration policies among all these different countries, with the exception of the one in the UK , cannot be considered as a 'lifeboat'.
One thing I am confused about what you stated though is the 30 years queue time in your example. Is PR in Australia similar to Green Card in the US? it seems like there are clear differences between the two that I am no expert of. Under the US system a permanent resident (GC holder) cannot petition his/her parents to get their Green Cards until this person becomes a US citizen, which would require at least another 3 years of time staying within the US border after receiving the Green card him/herself. According to your comment, an Australian PR can petition his/her folks but the queue time is 30 years? Would that amount of time be shortened if the petitioner is a citizen of Australia? How long and difficult would that be for a PR to become a citizen in Australia?
From my experience regarding the family reunion type of petition within the US for Hkers (it varies from one nationality to another), the wait time for siblings of the petitioner is about 13-14 years currently and about 1-2 years for parents. 30 years of wait time to become a PR in Australia seems insane to me.
