    Prince Ira Singh decoy number 1 is probably one of their most famous fakes being half of Merchant Ivory film production duo.

    Ismail Merchant...pretty cool. I went to see Shakespeare Wallah at that time. wining a trip to London in '65 would have been the best even without the Dave Clark Five. I liked Mike Smith. Some great songs.

    During the 1965-66 TV season, "To Tell The Truth" occasionally featured rock performers in an attempt to blunt NBC's "Hullabaloo", which was on in the same timeslot.

    The panel obviously did not know much about the DC5. Otherwise, they would (should) have asked question like, "who played lead guitar" instead of questions about location in London.

    • @sbalman
      @sbalman 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They were so much older and DC5 was pretty new on the scene. I happened to be 13 in 1965 but they weren't well known to older people like some musicians today.
