Congratulations on completing 280 levels. Yes, the game does continue on, theoretically, to infinity. Level 1690s is where the score starts counting backwards, and around level 1431650 they started to insta-complete themselves.
If my assumption is right, it's the level complete score requirement reaching the 2.147B or 32 bit integer limit that causes the instant complete to happen.
I spent my Spring Break (at least the beginning of it) working towards this on the Xbox version. I'm halfway through but since it's so grueling, I'm taking a break until summer vacation begins.
If you are sincere in playing and doesn't care about level or score, then you'll be there without knowing it. Took me just over a year to reach it, and now I'm at level *1276*
Short Goal: Action: Reach Level 9 to unlock Hyper Medium Goal: Puzzle: Complete all the Puzzles to unlock Cognito Classic: Reach Level 18 to unlock Twilight Longest Goal: Endless: Clear 280 levels to unlock Finity
Not that I wanted the grind to be even longer, but it feels weird that you don't have to earn the 7 middle gems in the level counter again after getting the 7 outer shinies. Because all the outer slots are permanently filled, it should actually take one more level to get each middle gem, which should give the Finity unlock after level 287.
This is on a PC. I mean how do devs expect you to clear 280 levels in a plane ride? It takes 150 hours to achieve, while the longest non-stop flight is just around 19 hours. Most airlines do have Bejeweled 2 on their IFEs, and have a different version from the PC version.

Bejeweled used 16 bit bejeweled 2 uses 32 bit bejeweled 3 uses 64 bit And bejeweled twist uses 86 bit i Think
Congratulations! I kind of figured, even a couple years back, unlocking Finity Mode legitimately would take a LONG time.
You can tell from his mouse movements at the end how excited he is

@Lydia Arie been looking to try to do this... How does it work?
GG bro

haha what a joke
Candy Crush: _"whipe and relax"_
Also Candy Crush: glitches to deliberately make the player lose AND waste whatever boosters and $$$$ spent
