Really great review Danoby! Seems you're very happy with it. For me it really was a "completion" type of figure. But as you also described...its nice to have the "origin unit" of Ultron and to have the full evolution.
At this point, I really hope they don't release the other 4 of the unit. Still focusing on other figures on my list. Still a great piece and one that most folks will pass.
If money were no issue, I'd buy 5 of these and have the numbers repainted on four of them. But since I don't shit gold, I will wait for the Ultron mark 1. That figure looks like it's worth every penny.
for 220 is a must have .especially to display him next to the mark 44 or the Ultron prime as an ultimate accessory if you would almost like a base ...but is another fig. I would say it's just like having the Hulk & Dr. Bruce Banner. great review 🐹

Thinking of biting the bullet on this, had zero interest until I seen it in a display unit. I have to say, it jumped out at me, and oh boy the paint app is fantastic yet simple. You could set this up as a general Sci if piece, thanks danob.
I brought a Tony Stark figure from Hot Toys but, this is my first Iron Man figure. I can't afford all the figures so, I like to try to get figures that I think I really different. Love the reviews.
230 may not have been a lot in april but this figure i guess plummeted in value, because i got this for 145 dollars shipped from an american seller and it came if 4 days. This was in September
I got one not because its avengers or iron man related because I am not a big fan of those but because the design and color scheme reminded me of the optimism for the future that existed in the 60's the space age and I really like the more robotic back side of it the front doesnt do much for me but what i find really annoying is that sideshow only allowed for 3 payments making it a veryr expensive $65 a month! when it was on pre order longer than most almost a year in advance so why not allow for 8 payments or more?? I mean if it was $30's or $40's a month allot more people would buy it
Quick question :P What display case is that in the back ground with Cap and Iron man fighting ? Feel like that would be ideal to use for A civil war display with Cap, bucky and stark :-D

Damn Danoby right when I was searching for a good review/unboxing video of this figure, your video pops up in my subscription box ^-^. I was really bummed out with this release because I've got every Age of Ultron figure on pre-order and dropping around €215 on this figure felt like a fire burning my money. (Which is still less painful to me compared to missing that one figure in a line I'm collecting) After watching your video I've had a change of heart on this one. It looks like a fun generic figure to pose with a beautiful design. I agree with you on the rubber crotch piece, double checking your pose on this figure is a must! I also like to imagine this being an Ultron MK 0.1 Alpha design but now I'm getting carried away with this comment ;) Thanks for the video & opinion on this figure. Keep up the great work!!
They should have just offered Iron Legion 1-5 pack and priced it at $550, i would definitely bite that .. My OC'ness is preventing me fr buying this figure bec at the back of my mind i know that supposedly there are 5 of these armors in Starks Armory =(

My collection could probably accept one more Ironman figure, is this it.........? it's close, I really am quite partial to that blue. But then King arts have just got my attention with that lovely little mk4 with gantry. Think I'll wait a little longer.

After some long, enjoyable consideration, I bought the Shi. The hair looks so much more realistic than on the LD. Just found out they will be adding a Shi kimono version next year. It looks fabulous. Having Frazzeta artwork on the walls of my collection room, I was extremely pleased to hear they are also producing a Frazetta type female body. Absolutely cant wait to see that. Hottoys better not stand still, or they will be overtaken. Thanks again for the heads up, and for sharing your passion with us.

It was a custom case built for a defunct retail store here in Las Vegas. It was donated to me years ago.

Sideshowtoy usually limits purchases to only two at the max, since not enough of these exist to give every collector any more than that.

J ellowpy Yeah, but at the price point these are (less than $200) most people are more like to get this than, say, Ultron Prime (about $375).
I gave this a pass and will look at getting one if i find the right price. This box is my favourite one out of the whole aou range.
