its crazy how black metal fits the landscapes that the music was conceived in, the guitar tones are as cold as the winters of Norway, the vocals as harsh as the cold air. there has to be a correlation
I find sanctuary in the Angeles Forest in Southern California. Its not norway, but the smell, the birds chirping, the moss, it brings me to peace, im ready to die when i get to the trees
Nice raw sound. This truly can be a feast 4 your sences. I find their best songs very pleasing, always feeling very content after. Altough the whole expression from the vokals and sound could be taken negative but the true fans of this kind of song must easily become very joyed by hearing this combination of guitar drum, its like an xtc. It sound so good, so complete, so moving. These are classics 4 me. Tunes to dream away with and enjoy this excuisit atmosfere created.
To me i gues there are not alot who can match darkthrones best songs. Its so grateful. Like by hearing it all my wishes were answered. Tunes never to be lost because this is simply to fine to be fully forgotten. From the moment i heared it thil the last days m alive. Really attraktif if u are a real lover 4 this. Priceles and timeles.
I think it is because you've played music there. I went to Euronymous' grave & I had no problem. Black metal is a part of their culture, and it is less feared than in the past. For example, someone like Ihsahn is very respected by people (and still associated with black metal). Norwegian people are much more open-minded than the rest of the world.
there's just someting about the top of a spruce tree with a moon lid night sky as background thats very very black metal. Reminds me of my younger years growing up in the suburbs.
you know what I actually had something of a similar experience around 3 years ago. I drove my fathers MGF on a curvy road through a forrest, here in Denmark. Sadly it was bright daylight and I wasn't a very experienced driver at that time, so I didn't really push the pedal to the metal. The combination of a lightweight midengined rwd sportscar, on a twisty road, through a forrest with "Hans siste vinter" blasting through the speakers made everything form a synthesis :)
For me it's more expensive going to Norway. Well, Bergen is a great town in black metal, but there's more to see elsewhere. All I want is to go much more to the north. If you can visit Sogndal, you'll see beautiful landscapes... and have a memory for Valfar.
Heh, that's true. I'm a...neighbour ;P I've already been in Denmark and Finland... I'll just save some money and visit Bergen...my favourite place in Norway...
@VampyrTepes You're sadly mistaken... there's not that many black metalers in Norway either. In fact, norway is one of the most Christian countries around. Not as much diversity as America, however I would die to live in norway.... one day....

For me norwegian black metal comes from nature...
Dude, so many black metal musicians love nature. Fenriz also goes hiking
One of DARKTHRONE's most beautiful songs.
Agreed
что значит beautiful? это слово не подходит для описания этой ахуенной песни
This is just beautiful. Those landscapes perfectly fit to the cold and grim atmosphere and nocturno vocals.
Thanks a lot! This music come from those landscapes...

2:40 is when the best part begins
I always like to drown in the hidden symphonies amongst the distortion. My favourite track.
best Darkthrone track ever imo, the footage really shows where the vibe comes from!
Very fitting video. The landscapes are beautiful.
Thanks a lot. This is pure Darkthrone environnement.
this has such a cold icey feeling.

I totally agree with you, these are masterpieces in dark music. And Darkthrone is one of the best bands in norwegian black metal.
Thanks a lot ! Your comment is the best compliment I could hope for this video... And yes, you understand all that I mean to express...

when i look outside my window i can see the full moon ... and this song and this landscape ... i beginn dreaming ... \m/
The outro melody sounds kind of middle eastern-ish (very mysterious and esoteric), the most perfect ending for this masterpiece. 🧛🏻♂️
Yes, you're right.
Cool. I'd love to visit Norway too someday...
🤘
I’m in love🖤
With me or Darkthrone? Ha ha!
@@VampyrTepes the song and the video and the atmosphere… and you ofc

Great Video my friend! You have it.. This feel!
Thanks a lot! Yes the mountains and the darkness were there to give life to Darkthrone's music.
Thanks man ! I thought it was much more to the north of the country.
For me it's more expensive going to Norway.

+Katena7Deed Cult album...
I wish we still had forests like that here in Ireland
You still have a beautiful country!
@blacksword94 Unfortunately, this is the situation in every country (except in Norway of course). The true music lovers are so rare...
Yes, it was the second time. I can't wait for the next time...
@blacksword94 This video has been made with devotion to this desperate and dark song...
Awesome music and awesome video. Have you been travelling in Norway?
Sounds like northern thrones
Let´s to ride in the Night!!! \m/ \m/ \m/
Yes!
@666SCHNEIDERLEIN666 I always thought that black metal was a musical genre specialy oniric, and I still do!
Heh, that's true. I'm a...neighbour ;P

Where is Trolltunga?
You're not very far from Norway, isn't you?
