I mean, these intros are excellent, and the videos are really well-made. I'm spreading the good word, and I hope your channel gets the traction it deserves!
Thanks so much for the awesome review and comparisons! The Caldera is my first ZMF, and boy what a way to enter to his domain. I've owned them for about 4 months now, and I've liked it so much, I ended up selling my Clear MGs and Arya V3s. What a terrific, all-rounder headphone. I have somewhat been wondering what I've been missing on other ZMFs, especially the Atriums, but this review kinda put my mind at ease for now. I'd obviously love to try some other ZMF cans, but I think I made a good decision with the Calderas (especially since I love planars). I like the stock pads the most compared to the vegan suede pads, keeps the low end energy I adore from them. Keep up the great work :)
Thanks for the video and comparison. I have not heard any of them but an Atrium was available and I bought it. Loving it and I have not roll the pads yet.
Love the Atrium with Caldera ultra perforated pads or Auteur pads. I think it's great that you can fine tune the sound with pad swaps depending on your preference and mood.
For me Caldera with the Ultra Perfs or Suede pads. Some folks really like the thick pads, but it doesn't feel right on my head when I use them. Get the BBB strap and it will improve the fit a lot. The BBB strap adds that bit of suspension where I can find that sweet spot where the cup sits just right around my ears.
Excellent. I can related to all of the points in the comparison as I have all three of the ZMF models here. I don't however, have any of the 3 that you were comparing them to, so this is helpful for me to understand those a little better. Once again, very nicely done!
@ConvinceMeAudio thanks man! Yes 9 y o and perhaps a future audio enthusiast haha! Thanks for years of brilliant videos I really appreciate you and hope that Chord Hifiman and others know that you are the reason for many of our purchases and love for their equipment. Have a good one - George from Vancouver Canada
Pretty much mirrors my experience. I prefer the suede pads on the Caldera and the VC for that matter. The Atrium I never liked-too dark and slow. I find the Caldera loves current so while it’s great on tubes it needs power.
Tungsten double sided has not come in for review yet, but single sided could technically give it a damn good run for its money, the only problem being the source equipment, I think that’s the Achilles heel
Thanks for the video👏 Concerning Caldera vs Susvara i disagree... To my ears it's not only on higher gears that the difference is audible... Tried both with a Topping A70 Pro and the Susvara was much more refined and delicious... I'm a low volume listener so punch is not my priority but the beauty of the timbre is and the Susvara is sweeter and more natural souding IMO...
@@DonnieDarko95All three of these sound totally different and excel at different genres. That said I think Atrium is the best all arounder, HD800S in the middle and with MR being most specialized of the three.
@@DonnieDarko95 Yeah in that case I would go with HD800S. HD800s excels at classical, vocals, and soundtracks/movie scores. It has a huge soundstage and forward mids. Diana MR has a very good bass response. I liked it for electronic especially but also rock and hip hop. I didn't particularly like its vocals. It's stage is somewhat intimate as well.
@@KXP70 when it comes to Zmf I think most people judge them on looks first and that has a big influence on the headphone score ,they want it to sound the way it looks.
Yet another love letter to Zack and Bev! 🫶🤪 How do you cope with the pad rolling? Like you, I am also blind, and I have a pair of atrium closed but they have spent more time sitting in the case rather than me enjoying them. I took the pads off for a change and nobody in my household seems to be able to replace them. We have even watched the official ZMF video, but still no joy! 😢😫😤 Any tips? 🤨
When it comes to ZMF Headphones, I do give the both the objective and specially subjective narrative, but yes, I do love their headphones and I think it’s very well known LOL Okay, it’s very straightforward this is what you do Place the outer lip that surrounds the back of the pad over the top one third circumference of the baffle, there’s a tiny lip that surrounds the circumference of the cup Usually with your thumb and index finger fingertips hold this segment in place, and gently spray the rim over the rest of the cup, making sure you’re constantly holding the top segment so that there is a stability And it should all cling to the circumference after a while and practice you end up being able to do this in 30 seconds It’s just practice, I prefer magnets

Yes they are excellent and in the future you can play about with a cowhide and mantle mesh for a little change and spice
Very glad it was informative
Nice comparison, awesome video🎉
Great review and fun format. Had me eager to hear part II. Excellent as always, thank you!

Perfect timing! Just finished my lunch break. Was wondering when it would drop today

Saves one from spending another three grand on a new pair of headphones. 🎧

Brother your videos are so great! P.s. My daughter dropped my susvaras and they somehow survived ❤❤❤
Deeply appreciated, 🐅
Oh my goodness, what a painful moment LOL, I’m glad it’s okay
I’m presuming little one is a child, Hope there okay too,

Great comparisons. how would you compare the caldera to the double/single sided tungsten's?

Got a set of Atrium and prefer the autuer pads.
Where is the intro music from? I like how calming it is
CMA pays for a service called Epidemic Sound for all our videos
Wish we heard a comparison with the Tungstens.
There will be one coming when double sided lands
Just curious how would the calderas compare to the binom er?
Considering they are both totl headphones which are easy to drive
IMO Binom is a completely different league, for drivability resolution dynamics punch and tonal balance
CAL has better stage
Atrium is my baby ❤ but love the Verite and caldera
What about the Diana MR?
It’s not here for review yet
@@ConvinceMeAudio Will wait for the review then! I'm deciding between MR, Atrium or just HD800s

Sound wise I prefer Tungsten DS by far, much better than caldera.
Still waiting on the DS over here
Others have said the opposite. Guess it'll be very much down do taste.
