Albert Tamm is seriously underrated in this list imo. He throws 700ft from a smooth walk-up with a lowish hyzer flip. Also he was the first in Udisc Precise Power Index stat for a while. Even AB said in a podcast that he is not sure if he can out-drive guys like Tamm. Albert is not in the picture alot so i get why people might overlook him in these discussions tho.
Great vid! Some players like Kristian Kuoksa or Oskari Vikström could have made the list, though. They both throw well over 200 meters (650 ft). Maybe I'm just saying that because I'm Finnish. :)

There's no way Kristian Kuoksa is not on this list. You probably haven't heard about him before, otherwise he would have made the list. You should definitely check the guy out, he has some crazy distance.
If you would include on course distance accuracy as a factor aswell I would rank Simon and Eagle at one and two (in whatever order really)and add Calvin in the top 7. But this did seem pretty accurate to me!

So glad to see DWJ at the #1 spot. There are many now I feel (glad at the growth of the sport) who were not around when Terry Miller and Marty McFlySoHigh were the exclusive meaningful disc golf content available. DWJ is the Ken Climo of distance.

That 700 ft park job from Eagle is one my top 5 greatest shots. Paul this year at Throw Down the Mountain had a 600ft park job on round 2 hole 11 (I think that's the round and hole). A couple years back Simon parked hole 18 out there but it was so crazy that you don't get to see the flight. I like the shots that are filmed and you see full flights to make my greatest shot list.
Seriously that park job was longer than Albert’s throws at the distance comp….instead it was actually in competition and parked. That’s so much more impressive…and further
The list i'd like to see is best distance in competition, that means distance with accuracy. One also needs to factor in when someone is trying to throw it far, vesus an easy 450ft hyzer to an easy 200ft approach. From all the jomez i've been watching these last 6 months, when they try to throw with force Simon/Eagle/Anthony are the farthest with accuracy.
For me, Gibson is by far the most skilled and impressive distance thrower. That doesn't mean he throws the furthest, but he throws SUUUPER far with absurd accuracy, and I think it's because he's doing it with understable lightweight discs. He's the opposite of Barela, in that way. No doubt, Wiggins is the furthest thrower though.
Watching many of these distance throwers.. not many are great at the overall game though. Very inconsistent. I watched Ezra this year , he was rather 'meh' with a few highlights.
Simon at 4th is crazy. With his current dialed back play, its easy to forget how far this guy can rip. Some of his tournaments shots from 2014-2016 are absolutely bonkers. Eagle and Gurthie (and others to lesser extent) are absolute bombers both in distance shots and golf shots, but young Simon put pretty much everything you see out there today to shame. Just bonkers. Just look at the old LVC, GBO, Memorial, Vibram, etc. The duds is absolutely nuts.
I’d have to disagree based on present day capabilities. I’d say Wiggins,barela, gg, drew, hammes For your top 5, 3 years ago you could put Simon and eagle in top three. Eagle at 6 spot for sure though. Then Simon and then Adam, Ezra and Gilbert grape🤣.
Nothing against Eagle, he's one of my favorites. However Simon should 💯 percent be before Eagle. I know eagle has longer backhand but Simons definitely doesn't fall to short from Eagles. Now Simons backhand rips apart most people's and I'm pretty sure his backhand is good enough to trump the who has a better forehand?
Big mistake not having Calvin on this list. He won the distance competition at All Stars last year and nobody throws further on a golf line. Check his shot on 18 last year at Jonesboro. (Fun video though, thanks!)
I think Ricky has him on golf lines, definitely close and depends on the day though. Ricky bombs and you can just tell out of the hand the disc is flying, similar to Calvin.

First off, it should be golf lines. Nobody cares about throwing it as far as you can in a desert when it doesn’t matter where you land. I’m a 1000 rated pro and have played with some of these guys. Here’s my top 10 1-David Wiggins 2-Eagle McMahon 3-Anthony Barela 4-Alex Geisinger 5-Kade Filimoehala 6-Simon Lizotte 7-Albert Tamm 8-Garrett Gurthie 9-Albert Tamm 10- Drew Gibson (6-10 is a toss up) Honorable mention Ezra Aderhold Calvin Heimburg Thomas Gilbert I will say Alex Geisinger doesn’t tour anymore, and Kade isn’t on lead card much. But those two are legit. I’ve seen Alex make McBeth and Drew Gibson look like amateurs in regards to distance. And I’ve seen Kade bombing past Simon and Albert Tamm in worlds coverage.

He's won Amateur Worlds 5 times, but then since going pro zero A tiers and no wins at all since 2013. Simon should be number 2 behind wiggins jr due to him having the 2nd farthest throw in the world at over 1000ft and him having parked 800ft holes that are in between cliffs in a valley so the valley drop would generally slow down and pull disc's doen
Today I would be very surprised to see Simon as a contender in a distance competition. Even he will readily admit he cannot throw as far as he used to nor does he even try. Age, injuries etc... distance simply isn't his game anymore.
You have to win an event to be considered the best. Or one of them. Throwing in a field with out competition doesn’t count. Lots of guys can shoot a basketball, but not many can make them in a game.
I can agree with Wiggins here. He has done well in distance competitions so he qualifies for this placing 100%. Just the throw into a tornado wouldn't do it.

Don't get the 360 throw. It looks cool yes. But it seems as though the body rotation and tork are rarely timed with the release. Most of the times I see someone trying this, it's almost like the throwing arm pull back starts just "after" the body rotation stops.

Omitting Kristian Kuoksa from this list makes it irrelevant and shows a certain level of naivety when it comes to disc golf distance.
