Thanks so much Regina. You not only teach well, you actually give life to light. Your channel should have 182K subscribers not 1.82k

These edges are a really fascinating topic. I remember when I was learning by myself, I would look at the paintings of the old masters and try to recreate their approach to light and shadow and I loved it. Later I found a teacher who painted abstractly and for him the most important thing was the line and sharp edges, symbolic marking of form. It was very tiring for me, because my desire to paint was completely different. He just messed with my head :))) That's why I watch your lessons with great pleasure. It's like I've finally found myself at home, on my own path. I'm very happy. Best regards

Gosh, thank you so much, I am glad you know what is at your heart, it’s easy to get lost in so many choices of artistic styles. The concepts underneath of any beautiful art no matter what medium or style is the same.

Understanding how to manipulate the light. That is what gives us the power to express in a painting. Isn't it?

Yes, I think we are drawn to light, our eyes are conditioned to follow the light and so it can become a powerful tool to make viewer to read your painting how you intend it.
