Broken heart syndrome is real. I was horribly betrayed and my heart physically hurt and after the shock of my reality exploding wore off, I became literally ill. It’s no joke and should be acknowledged more
I am a indigo adult with all 17 characteristics. I struggled to understand the world as a child. I did not understand that people typically do not “feel” at the same level I do. I became a social worker and worked in hospice care for 13 yrs before suffering a traumatic breakdown. Thanks for spreading more understanding on this subject. The more people understand about themselves… the better we can use our tools as catalysts for change ❤
We turn ourselves inside out for others until there's nothing left in us. Selfishness is very healthy for us to rejuvenate. I treat myself to a spa day whenever I can.
Sounds just Like me. - I’m an indigo adult with all 17 also , it’s so hard to be here yet I love being here and jus want to be with my plants and cats and land and sea souls
When we didn’t understand neurodivergence 20- 30 years ago, we labeled all neurodivergent kids who didn’t fit the diagnostic criteria (did it even exist?) as indigo children. I’m sure they grew up to be HSP, and perhaps eventually got diagnosed with autism or ADHD or both. Signed, a former HSP, now diagnosed AuDHDer
Me too! I went from "gifted kid" to "emotional problems" to "highly sensitive person" to "indigo adult" to.... formal autism level 1 diagnosis :) turns out i'm just a person with some differing skills and different needs.
This episode resonated so loudly with this “spot on 17/17 girl” who was labeled only as a “highly intelligent, talented and gifted but extremely difficult child” who spent her childhood with her head in the clouds day dreaming and who spent more time doodling detailed fine art around the entire circumference of her school work and took more pride in that portion of her contribution to the educational system, than in the subject matter at hand. I was disciplined often and made to sit out of creative events at school in the cruelest of fashions because (& they would tell me this as a young child), that even though I was clearly one of, if not “the” most talented among my peers, I was also the most disruptive and clearly the naughtiest because I didn’t pay attention in class and “refused” to focus on the menial tasks at hand, and they simply would not tack with that kind of behavior. They never once took into account that I was bored mindless and realized that I was wildly and entirely misunderstood, so they quite often publicly shamed and shunned me and punished me for things beyond my control … this ignited an already latent distrust of authority that continues in monumental fashion to this day. Thank you for this so very deeply. Now I have yet another rabbit hole into which I must jump. 🐇 🐰 🐇
Gotcha. I feel your pain..............I have all those issues, except thankfully, the schools and teachers I had at least till junior high were understanding and flexible enough to let me race ahead, then do my doodling or writing as the other kids worked to catch up. I taught myself a lot of drawing technique before I quit in high school. By 2nd grade I had written some crazy thing that I called a "play" and performed it with some friends for the class. Also was teaching friends how to draw Star Wars ships and Peanuts characters... Later on in HS it was writing lyrics and composing in my head. (Oh yeah, I had started making up little tunes on the piano around the same age I started drawing, in 1st/2nd grade) Enormous gifts can also be heavy burdens. As you know. A few years ago I was at a conference for activists in a certain field, and complained to a fellow attendee, I'm bursting with ideas but seem to have so little time to actually put them in action. So he just shrugged and said, "Get a staff!" Ok.... working on it!
I hear you, I was diagnosed with ODD which means I don't like listening to authority because of everything you just said, it's not I don't like listening, your just not on my level of mind thinking, my brain always needs to be stimulated or I get bored, I'm mad for crafts as it keeps my creativity going, I love reading as I can take my mind out of this world into another dimension that's on my mind level, I failed at english and maths as my brain couldn't comprehend learning that when there is more important things to learn, like evolution, dynamics, outer space etc
I am an Indigo child. I'm 62 and still learning about myself. I'm a medical intuitive and can sometimes tell when someone is very ill with something or dying. I've been fortunate to save lives and lost one I wasn't able to get to. I feel this gift is a blessing.
I feel your gift is a blessing too. Let me know if you picking up anything from this comment.. and while I might be a sarcastic person I am in fact serious about the question ❤❤❤😂😂😊😊❤
It can also be a painful curse. Knowing someone is going to die from a disease or the age/year they will die. My ESP was tested by a research scientist. Perfect score.
I agree that it can be a curse ... I'm also a raw medical intuitive ... it's hard to "see" these things and people refuse to listen or be open to it until it's too late.
Indigo child was never meant to be derogatory or negative. I don't associate unruliness or distraction or hyperactivity or disobedience absolutely whatsoever with this. That's more of an ADHD thing, I think. I was quiet, serious, introverted, exceptionally smart, therefore picked on, therefore internalized trauma, therefore artistic, therefore deep thinking, able to hang out with and converse with adults and understand complex universal concepts and philosophies, at a young age. it is how to spot the evolved souls who have been through many lifetimes. The level of harboring all the suffering in the world is almost too much to bear sometimes, and as an adult it is quite honestly crippling.
My son has diagnosed ADHD & ticks all the boxes and in his late teen years seems mildly autistic and his school diagnosed him as such but he has a lot of the indigo child traits too. Is it possible to be both or does his extreme personality, just make him seem ADHD? He tried the meds but they never seemed like they made much difference, so I discontinued them when he was young. The last few years he wanted them again & takes them religiously & is quite interested in them & how all these drugs work, like a dang pharmacist. He says they help him but I don't see an improvement in school performance etc. He just doesn't give a rip about expectations or authority. He's too smart for his own good, but someday he may change the 🌎.
@@idid138 he doesn't sound like he fits the characteristics for indigo, in my opinion, which is not professional. I'm sure he is wonderful and I hope he can find some thing that balances out his life. He has way too many things going on to be classic type indigo. for the record, I don't believe in pharmaceuticals and being an indigo child and having conditions that need to be medicated are entirely different things but yes, it would be possible to be both.
I respectively disagree a little. ADHD and autistic spectrum disorder are highly correlated with many of these traits, which are not necessarily negative. There is a theory out of the university of Virginia. I think that has studied individuals who have similar traits, and their correlation with Nuero divergency, specifically ADHD and autistic spectrum disorder..
@@WolfandButterfly ADHD, and autistic children/people are considered low functioning and somewhat disabled capacity mentally. I'm not personally judging that scenario, just saying that indigo children are extremely bright, interactive, well-behaved, read very early and are exceptional old souls, so as you said, I respectfully disagree. this entire podcast and conversation is way off base when it comes to indigo
I’m very impressed Mayim is open to the ideas of chakras and energy in spiritual terms, along with being grounded in science. As a HSP empath, I identify with some of these traits.
Oooooof….. this smacked me like a ton of bricks… I remember my mom reading up on this when I was a kid and I didn’t know why, but I was the black sheep of the abusive cycle and I was the youngest out of my siblings and the first one who was like “oh… no this isn’t gonna work for me” 🤣 and proceeded to break every stigma and expectation my family had for me 🙃 my grandma was just like this too.
I prefer loan Wolf over black sheep. Sheep are followers and I've been the cycle breaker in my family when it comes to abusive relationships. I moved out of home at 15. Growing up, in the 80s I was one of only a few living in a single parent household. My parents divorced when I was 18 months old, and my mum had been my primary caregiver, my dad thinking he could do a better job at raising me, kept me away from my mum for 3 months. My mum had witnessed physical abuse between her parents, so of course has her own mental health issues, which involved drug and alcohol abuse and me never knowing what mood my mum was going to be in and also witnessing her boyfriend after my Dad, being physical with her for 2 years. To cut a long story short, my childhood can't be explained as a happy one, hence moving out of home at 15. I was a mother at 2 months off 17 and when my son was 5 months old, I left his father, who was physically, emotionally, socially and financially, abusive towards me, and despite everyone thinking that I'd reconcile with him, I didn't as it meant far more to me that my son had a better life than that. I left the father of my younger 2 boys for similar reasons. He abused alcohol and drugs and when drunk would be verbally abusive towards me, so I kicked him out and have raised my 2 youngest boys on my own for the last 11 years. Not once did I move back home, but this is the 3rd time my mother has lived with me and it's been 12 years. She still self-medicates and puts me down, despite my leaving school at 15, and now having 2 diplomas and a bachelor degree to my name. I'm the only 1 in my family who has gone to University and the only one seeing a therapist to heal my childhood wounds, which are constantly being ripped open by my 3 parents (mum, dad and step mum who married my dad when I was 4, I'm now 46, you'd think after 42 years she'd class me as family wouldn't you?) I know it's because I scored 17/17 that I'm doing what needs to be done, in order to live an authentic life with purpose and meaning. I've got a Bachelor in Social Work, Diploma in Youth work and Diploma in Community Services. I'm a ThetaHealing, Compassion Key and Sound Healing Practitioner and a Breathless Breathwork Instructor. I'm highly intuitive, empathic and sensitive on all levels and I'm learning to give myself compassion and understanding, which is hard when you've never received from any parent. Geez, I didn't intend for this to be a mini bibliography. I know my story isn't unique, and for all of you Indigo/HSP/CPTSD/Neurodivergent/ Highly intuitive empathic souls, the world needs more people like us, who accept a person holistically and have time to be there for others, coz we know what it's like to suffer alone. Celebrate your weirdness and embrace standing out from the crowd. The reason youve never fitted in, is because you werent meant to blend in with the crowd, you wete meant to shine. People are drawn to us because we are authentic, and authenticity vibrates at the highest frequency. People admire us because we won't compromise our values in order to fit in and it's fear of being alone that holds them back from authenticity and living a life with meaning
I'm 17 out of 17. But you're so incredibly right about a person whos strengths and intuitions have been fostered vs punished for being unruly during childhood is truly something to look at. Feels like such a tailspin. ❤
I read a book about indigo children, in the mid-90s, while raising my own indigo son. Raising him is the hardest thing I've ever done. He's 27 now, still the same, lol.
Exactly the same here. My son is also 27. I was told by a healer invited to a summer BBQ hosted by my employer (a software company!!!) that I was an Indigo child, and she could sense that I had given birth to one Indigo Child, but he might even be a Crystal Child. I hadn't even told her I had kids nor that I was struggling with the youngest. Yet, she looked at me and gave me a recap of the 6 months before that day. We were seeing a psychotherapist at the time, who diagnosed him with a really high IQ and EQ, but he was 2 points short of being eligible for further help or special programs. He was 9 then, and getting through to him was really hard. To this day, you cannot bs this man. He sees through the most innocent attempts of manipulation. Friendships are hard for him, but those who call him a friend can count on him for life. Being his mom has been the most painful, exhilarating, fulfilling, and scariest thing in my life, and it still is to this day. The way he makes people face reality and truths is just astonishing. I might have taught him how to walk, talk, and tie his shoes, but what he's taught me in 27 years has been instrumental to my own growth.
Pretty surprised you’re covering this subject! Being intuitive or an empath is not easy. I know many adults that work hard to block their abilities (alcohol, drugs, busyness, smoking) so I’m hoping you can connect more people with these concepts.
Again with the ADHD… anyone want to back me up that ADHD IS often related to many of these traits and people can have both a psychiatric disorders and such metaphysical phenomenon ….it is a highly researched reality for many actual psychiatric disorders … there is unbelievable bias however. It’s pervasive (I am also bias I guess lol.. bc I was dx with ADHD at 53. ) The treatment changed my life tremendously . Still, I am intuitive and an “indigo” adult haha
I do not control my empathy with drugs but I do control it by staying away from people I am basically (mostly) a hermit. I have tried to block the feelings all my life so now i struggle to know how to talk to the few people i do love to help them. It does absolutely suck being an empath.
@@WolfandButterfly I think I have add as well as being an empath but i do not believe only people with add or other things can see or feel energy. I think sensing energy is an instinct that all people have but it is subconscious and people ignore it and some like me feel it too strongly. If i do have add is not really bad my brain is just way way too busy and it exhausts and annoys me.
i have 17/17 and just realized i’m wearing a blue shirt too! LOVED this episode, everything you talked about resonated so much 💙 but it also made me sad.. unfortunately, i grew up in a violent household and my narcissistic parents abused me so bad and for so long, i now have borderline personality disorder. i went no contact with my family and i’m actively healing now. oftentimes i feel like they broke that indigo child, but i know it’s bigger than that and i will find my way back to myself 💜 thank you so much for this episode!
I have D.I.D., CPTSD, ETC. Been in trauma therapy for 31 years. CBT makes a difference. Takotsubo syndrome, Stress cardiomyopathy aka broken heart. I've experienced it.
I got 17/17 and am wearing a blue sweatshirt today! 😆 I also had an abusive and negligent mother and abandonment issues from my father. I don’t talk to my mom but I talk to my dad quite often. Spiritually speaking and IMO, we choose our parents and circumstances as a soul contract. I’m not saying this to sound negative but to heal and take our power back. A lot of highly sensitive/indigo ppl had really rough starts in life. We’re here to make a difference and who’s to say we would’ve if life was different. I choose to believe that God is only giving me lessons to become more enlightened and not cursing me. 🥲😅
In 1953 (age 3 yrs old) my grandma (who was born in 1890 in Norway and came to America in 1910) explained to me that I was an Indigo child, and she gave me tips on how to get thru life. I obtained my first PhD when I was 14 (1964), and the list of all great things continues. Being Indigo is not a New Age thing. I was diagnosed with ADHD before the term ever existed. My grandma said that being ADHD only meant my Attention was Dialed to a Higher Dimension. I could go on and on, but won't. I love your show, when I get a chance to watch it. Be healthy, stay safe and many blessings, Morgan PS 17/17
I have all 17 of these characteristics. I feel that I am here to help bridge gaps in ways of thinking because I see things from multiple perspectives and through multiple senses. I have always and still do struggle to understand why most cannot see things how I do. There is no black and white for me except for moral issues such as basic human rights. Everything is so multi faceted. I have been studying myers Briggs personality types since learning I am an infj. I find it fascinating that infj qualities seem to correlate with indigo. So that is some food for thought.
OMG! I am 64 and today I knew I am (or was) an Indigo Child. Diagnosed late as an ADD , or a hight capacities kid bored at regular school..and that never explained me fully. Beyond that Indigo is and was always my color, today I’ve learn a lot about myself and my childhood. Checking: Strong willed, old-soul, free thinker, rebel to directions (I thought I’d always opened ways to my siblings being the eldest of six), difficult to fit in boxes, used to think out of it, creative in a creative career (architect), highly intuitive (it has truly helped me a lot in my lifetime), high capacities IQ (if that is a symptom..), truth seeker and driven to change this world for better (my “career” as a young HHRR defender carried me days of jail service during Franco’s days..), empathetic, leader of my team but never boss. Very connected to nature and animals (who other has had a cow, a swift and a bat as pets..). High sensitive person. Spiritual more than religious. Always struggling with boredom. I think I get a 16 of 17. WOW!! Enormously thankful for this episode! Maybe late, but I’ve understood today myself and my childhood a bit…today! 💙
I've looked this up before as I always felt like I was just dropped off here on this planet and don't belong and as a child I remember asking my parents if I was adopted lol I scored a 16-17 as well, where's the blue cult?! I also, being a woman, was recently diagnosed with ADHD in my 40s, so there's that as well. As young girls when we were different, we were just told to fit in. I wasn't hyperactive but I wanted to do what I wanted to do and felt I was too smart for school, and it was boring and a waste of my time. My younger self disliked never feeling like I fit in, but my older, wiser self really couldn't care less anymore. In fact, I am happy now I am not "normal." I don't understand how we still remain so divided as a people. I have this desire to understand people but also find them so perplexing when it comes to how we hate, kill and refuse to realize we have a lot more in common than we don't. I have a high level of injustice sensitivity and was always just a very sensitive person that also is very intuitive and has amazing pattern recognition! To this day my dad still triggers me when he tells me I need to just worry about myself. I don't understand what that means. I find that difficult, like others don't think of how their own actions could afflict others or have an innate desire to stand up for others because it is the right thing to do even if they are not currently affected by something? I think I can bounce easily (when I can focus) between creative and analytical. I dislike small talk and would rather discuss why are we here and how we are, what is the purpose of it all and conspiracy theories and I NEED to spend time alone. Animals keep me grounded to this planet and animals and young children always seem to flock to me even though I never became a human parent by choice. I dislike being told what to do. I will be respectful about it but if you can't make me understand the need or purpose or I just think its entire purpose is to control I won't do it. Whether we are here to raise the frequency of the planet, create change for the betterment of humanity or it's simply a ying yang sort of thing and half or so of us just think differently, I will take the misfits, dreamers, poets, creatives, and rebels any day on my team! Is there any factual numbers of the percentage of people currently on earth is said to be an Indigo? It seems a lot of this falls into the neurodivergent category.
I’m now 52 & in the past two years have FINALLY began to understand myself. I’ve scored very high for INJF, Empath, Intuitive, & now a 17/17 for an Indigo Child. Oh and I’m RH Negative blood. I’ve never been able to see animals in pain, even on tv. It makes my skin crawl & I cannot leave the situation fast enough. I can’t handle people suffering in any way. It breaks my heart. And being around too many people & too much energy absolutely wears me down. You’ll always find me hiding with the critters 🥰🤗 Or with the children. But with teenagers or adults, it’s just too much. I need the innocent, joyful & happy energy. Adults lose that. I take my grandkids camping as often as possible to instill a love of nature in them. Anyway, thank you for this video. Quite interesting stuff. The last set of twins in my family, born before me, ended in death from heartbreak. They were girls & one passed of SIDS very young. 6 months later to the day the other twin girl passed & the Dr said it was caused by her broken heart from losing her twin. It’s a real thing for sure. I feel like I’ve only got one or two heartstrings left tbh.
THAT LIGHT IS A HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS JOINING THE CHAT…. Yes we are connected to “DOGS” and it’s not about “BLIND DEFIANCE “…it’s all about knowing the “WHY”…we do not follow instructions blindly. There was something exceptional happening in the 70’s .
“Deserves a place and not a correction.” I love that! We don’t all fit in the same box. We have different ancestry/dna, childhoods, experiences, traumas and perceptions. I’ve been an empath my entire life. I’ve never considered the idea that I may be an indigo, but I fit the bill with 16/17. In fact, when I meditate, I see indigo. I am a healer. I have experiences that aren’t limited to this realm or dimension. My soul is very old and very tired. Thank you for this podcast.❤
13/17. I don't feel like I need the label of "indigo child/adult" because I've already done a bunch of internal work to accept for myself the labels of ADHDer, neurodivergent, even disabled. There's nothing inherently wrong with having ADHD, and there's a lot I have to offer the world, but there's a trade off in that I struggle to function in a society that is not built for people like me, and thus, I am disabled (which I see as a neutral term). I've found community with other ADHDers and the wider communities of neurodivergence and disability, and I try to push for society to be more accommodating of all of us.
Gah! I just LOVED this conversation so much! Like Jonathan, I am 17/17. I’ve always been a little “woo-woo,” but the child I brought into this world has made me a believer in more of the extrasensory world. He is a nonspeaker, autistic, and types to communicate. He has a brilliant mind. He started telling me what color people were when he was a tot. It took years for me to get that he was seeing auras. He can tell whether someone is his cup of tea instantly. (I’ll ask him about Jonathan’s aura, btw) Most people who have the characteristics of indigo children would likely have a yellow/golden aura. You can actually find info about different colors of auras and their characteristics if you search. Auras can also change, not just over time, but with moods, illness, etc. My son will tell me mine is red when I’m angry! He also sees brown in auras of people who are ill. I can’t begin to fathom what it’s like to see the world through his eyes and with his brain. But to me, he is the *real* most interesting man in the world. I have wondered if being unable to speak has heightened his other senses and developed his sixth sense to some degree. Anyhoo! That’s probably the longest TH-cam comment I’ve ever made. lol.
I always knew I was different..intuition, clariaudient, but this August at 46 was diagnosed with Autism. I had previously been diagnosed with ADHD in my early adulthood. It makes sense to me that these things are connected...it’s just the way I think. I pick up on subtleties..but often miss what the nuerotypical find obvious.
I’m 17/17!😅 I remember always asking, “Why?” Also, I remember the very first time I felt someone else’s emotions. I was like 4 years old. I’m an adult and learned about Indigos back in 2001. Then didn’t hear about them for a long time. All of a sudden some of the same qualities of an Indigo fall under Empath qualities. We’re just gifted😊
17/17 right here... I'm one of the not so lucky children that grew up into great indigo adults. I was badly traumatized by the schooling system. I had all these characteristics, never fit in, teachers either loved me or hated me for being inquisitive and always asking why, I always felt like everyone were like sheep just following orders and never thinking anything remotely deeper, I got bored or too excited about subjects, I was too sensitive for all the noise and light and people... I had my first burnout when I was 11. After that it was just hell. I feel like I won't ever be able to go to university, even though I would love to learn more and be able to study. But I am doing my best with what I got! I got a certificate as an Expert by Experience and I am being active on helping others with struggles in mental health, as well as educating officials and making services easier for users. I am living as the Indigo I was meant to be! Making change, making art, making waves!
Did you eventually get assessed for autism spectrum or adhd? Because what you described are traits. Too sensitive to noise, light, people, The asking too many questions that could get taken the wrong way is an autistic trait. It’s also seeking details within the information to understand.. a deep need to understand everything and not fitting in are relatable experiences.
@DanniBby I fought for 15 years to get tested, but didn't get a diagnosis. The test was showing traits, but my impulsiveness and hyperactivity didn't reach high enough. I absolutely think I land somewhere on the autism spectrum, but I compensate with other things. I did get diagnosed with obsessive compulsive personality disorder which I feel "dampens" the adhd traits. Luckily I now get occupational therapy, and I think it will help making routines to calm my daily living.
@@haten4 just so you know, hyperactivity isn’t always externalized, it could also be internally experienced, such as constant thoughts, feeling of restlessness, hyper verbal talking, impulse shopping. I know many people only think of it as something that can be seen from the outside but that’s a stereotype so they might have judged wether you have ADHD wrong. And there’s a video that Orion Kelly has on his channel about how OCD relates to autism spectrum. There’s videos YoSandySam has on her channel about how ADHD and Autism hide the other one’s traits.
@DanniBby Yes, I am aware of all this, but I can't really do anything about getting the diagnosis right now, but as long as I can get treatment for my problems, it doesn't really matter at the moment. It doesn't change that I still am about 90% sure I am on the autism spectrum. I only recently started to realize how much I mask and hide a lot of the traits, and they are starting to come out with certain (safe) people and situations. I have OCPD, which is different from OCD, although there is some similarity. But yes, the connection with autism spectrum seems glaringly obvious.
Wow 17 out of 17 here..., this video hit me deep, I was just diagnosed with ADHD, BPD, and Bipolarism as an adult, and now as a Data Scientist living in a super small traditional Mexican town where people's minds are grown into cages it's a struggle to socialize, I feel I owe to people, I find it very easy to learn, to create things from scratch, to analyse scenarios or data or people or whatever I have in front of me and it baffles me to the point where I started a series of webinars to teach to my local town people the Analytical way of thinking, I for some strange reason got for free in my brain, my goal is to at least change the live of 1 person for the better and for them to get a well paid remote job on the Data Analytics world
I latched onto this concept for myself a few years back before I self-identified as an autistic woman. I went on to get an official diagnosis bc sensitive indigo me knew nobody would take it seriously unless I had a neuropsych assessment, so I did at age 40. I no longer subscribe to the indigo concept. I think it's a form of ableism, the kind that doesn't look ugly on the outside, but really does some harm later in life when the child becomes an autistic adult. Nobody grows out of it. Some of us just mask or develop PTSD from being so sensitive and having that invalidated.
Thank you for breaking this down the way you did. Great discussion and conclusion. Yes his Aura is 💙. I've died twice, clinically. One of which from broken heart syndrome. When I awoke from each I had gained a bit more intuition. Blessings to you both for the conversation.
Yes. Thank you. I have a 45-year-old indigo daughter. Very difficult to raise; I barely survived her childhood! And in 45 years, she hasn’t changed. She is awesome.
I'm now a senior who was born an telepathic empath. I've been lucky over the years to connect with several communities of like minded souls. My children take our multisensory abilities for granted. James Twyman produced the film, Indigo Evolution, available on TH-cam almost 20 years ago. The work of Gary Zukav goes in depth explaining the birth of the new humanity.Gregg Braden, Mary Rodwell, and Grant Cameron among many others have spent decades investigating the emergence of Indigos, Crystals and Starseeds at this pivotal moment. Thank you for having the courage to explore the subject.
Loved this! I would not call myself an indigo child or any other "spiritual terms" but i do resonate deeply with just about all 17 aspects, ive always had leadership qualities and i feel them and can tap into them and tap into extroversion but my heart is more of an introvert...more of an "all is welcome" type of personality as well..i dont need to lead, i want to walk along loving people...which is why i especially laughed at the group gathering Johnathan suggested at the very end lol thats exactly what id reply with...i love to be around open minded, open hearted people...its a beautiful journey of self and the world and i truly just want to honor the earth and continue to learn, its quite a simple and beautiful life
Thank you Mayim. I think my 9 year old grandson is an indigo child. You are the best. I love how you discuss these different topics and include everyone in the discussion with genuine caring and openness. Thank you. You would be the coolest friend! 😊
I was also 17 out of 17. I resonated with all of this. While I am a person who really enjoys spirituality and I have a concept of chakras I do feel skeptical about labels like indigo child. I think a lot of people have the ability to be this way but I do see a difference in myself because I do not remember a time in my childhood that I wasn't acutely aware that there was a lot wrong on this planet and I was always very driven to be something helpful and involved in change. My version of personal success was always about contributing to something important
I am 70 and this is the first time hearing about Indigo Children. I am an Indigo Child thru and thru! Not sure what to do with this new info but its interesting and I did forward the website you quoted to my counselor at the Vet Center. Cant wait to talk it over with him. Thanks once again for pointing out how weird I am! 😂
It’s the first time you’ve heard about indigo children. And yet now that you’ve just heard of it your are in fact convinced that u urself are indigo. Do u realise how stupid u are you
All 17! 43 years in this embodiment. It may be 9 months later but the three of us should talk soon. I only want Dominion or control over myself. Which is the first step for everybody. Know Thyself! From one complex mind to another. Just your description of energy centers alone was a blessing in itself!
Indigo children was a way of explaining autistic kids. It was super toxic because it expected us to be world savers when in fact we were dealing with massive amounts of bullying and serious overstimulation with the senses.
@@sbrooke210 Wikipedia page states it’s pseudoscience from the 1970’s. And it most definitely is linked to modern diagnosis of adhd and autism. We have the DSM5 now that offers more concrete answers in clinical psychology. I accept my gifts come from being level 1 autistic. I’m glad my parents tried to give me a normal childhood and not tried to tell me I was an Indigo child.
Indigo child here. All 17 are spot on, in fact we are building a new learning center to help these children learn - as you discussed they learn differently, and this will also open up and expose their gifts. Combined with animal rescue we will have a 10-acre hands on learning center where they can explore spirituality as well as other practical skills and subjects.
17. I used to think i was indigo. Now i know im Audhd. Autistic people have more neural pathways with less pruning, adhd have extreme awareness of their surroundings which we label as distractability. We often mystify what we dont understand. The sad thing is i was around for this trend, and saw many people ignore thier childrens medical needs and call them special. Considering the rate at which both autistic and adhd people unalive themselves this is really not something i think should be encouraged. People need to know who they really are. Many adults diagnosed have an immense sense of relief, and stop hating themselves for struggling to fit in. Anyone can be spiritual. But for good mental health balance is important. Accepting adhd and autism as a naturally occurring phenomenon in humans is necessary to save lives, and also, people with these traits tend to be innovative and bring humans forward in evolution. I practice shamanism. I have accepted and understand my traits. Im quite fine with understanding autism and adhd. If i had just thought i was indigo, and so was my child, NEITHER of us would get the medication we needed to improve our functionality and our chances at survival. I am hoping that as a scientist that you can bring some balance to this subject, as not recognized your own unique issues and needs can be extremely detrimental to people's lives. As the gentleman demonstrates, you can be both. And taking medication can help tremendously, and will not affect your spiritual abilities. Trust me.
I'm 41 and got 17 out of 17. I watched the whole épisode in one go. Sending you love from France. I was in awe to understand a lot of words that you were using...synchronicities, third eye, chakra system, etc. It's been only a year since i've started actively on this journey of knowledge, of self love and karma healing. I have started from manifestation of other realms from me and mainly my kids. I have started from there to search for answers to what was happening to us. We're all in and i have encountered extraordinary people since. I know now that my 3 year old has his 3rd eye completely open. My heavily disabled kid is a very pure soul . My middle child has some developped senses and we now go to special parent-child sessions. Saturday we just practiced sensing aura and how to create our protection circle. This is a very interesting journey and our children is a fundamental legacy for a better tomorrow. Our generation is paving a way (ex. Cleaning the family tree from trauma, our own karma) a beautiful journey to all beautiful souls out there.
I work with sensitive children and they feel very empowered when they learn how to work with their energy, their chakras and auras. I would love to share a few stories with you!
@@Blahlalovely Thanks for asking! This is a short story about a 5-year old using the tools she learned at Spirit Camp to help her mom... Lily was a sensitive five-year-old who remembered a previous life, and talked openly with her parents about things that seemed way beyond her years. Her mom was a busy woman who juggled finding a balance between being a working mom and raising a family. One day, her mom came home from work exhausted and depleted. When Lily looked at her, she said, "Mom, why don't I check your chakras and align them before dinner? I think it might help you feel better." Her mom was surprised to hear her five-year-old daughter suggest nurturing her mom with a technique she learned at Spirit Camp. Her mom said, "How can one not be amazed when one realizes their child, who is in Kindergarten, is now capable of using her knowledge to help her parents feel better!" You can learn more at www.dancingjaguarinspirations.com/spirit-camp
I would LOVE to know how you teach them to work with their energy. As a teacher and apparently an indigo child myself, I struggle so much with helping others. It's a life goal of mine.
I am 56 years old 17/17. I had my aura read and it was blue and indigo. I have been wondering about my purpose for 2 years. I believe it's to spread the word of who we really are. Souls living a human experience, fragments of our Creator learning lessons about life.
This was such an interesting and beautiful conversation, I think I'm an Indigo Child, I was diagnosed with ADHD at an early age an I did identify with all 17 of the characteristics mentioned but not only that, for me it really hit something very emotional when you started talking about the medical or physical components of the chakras, if there was something in my life that was causing me great angst or pain the easiest and most helpful way to get it out was to sing, now im not a great singer and I don't know if I'll ever be, but there's something about finding a song that can channel the emotions I am feeling through the lyrics or the melody that just felt so liberating and when you talked about how humming and singing can reach into that place and have an actual physiological change in our bodies it just made sense, my intuitive brain could understand how to calm me down even if my logical brain had a hard time rationalizing it.
I loved this episode, you're speaking my language! Heal the mind, body, and energy body (aura) and you'll overcome the neurodivergence. I try to keep spiritual practices, energy work and meditation accessible on the practical level because it's going to be an important part of our lives moving forward. It's time to marry science and spirituality.
17/17 here too! And only recently I had started holistic therapy to understand myself better. And it's working. But this was an eye opener! Wow! I feel like I belong somewhere! I don't know what I should do with the information now, but I'm in a less lonely place, though I enjoy being alone. Thanks for the info. Great as usual. 😇😇
I was searching for an explanation of Indigo children and came across your episode. I absolutely loved it and am grateful to have found it. Of the list I am 17 of 17. Love that I'm not alone Jonathan!
17/17 also. Years ago a friend told me i was an indigo or a starseed. I was clueless to the terms and have been interested in learning about it since then. I will say it's been a comfort to me to feel as if my life experiences might be for a purpose. Its not been easy. I am 56 and finally accepting myself. Thank you for talking about this💙🌠
This is an awesome topic!!! My thoughts, Indigo Children are those who can see that spectrum of the rainbow that no others can see. We can even feel it too. I'm 17 out of 17. It's not that we're bored, it's that we're disinterested because we don't conform to the established norm/way of life that's been "given" to us via Pavlovian education. And I mean ESTABLISHED. Why do you think witches were burned at the stake? They knew things others didn't comprehend and were more healers, innovaters and artisans than others. Why do you think movies like The Wizard of OZ or Harry Potter were created or even movies and television and theatre were created? To show others that different ways and worlds exist. My dad to was an Indigo Child. He created a TV show called The Outer Limits which spawned Star Trek which spawned a whole bunch of innovations. He saw things others didn't and was able to share his visions to the masses. I know he's floating around somewhere looking at what has been created through science, technology and the imagination. If only he were here in physical form, he'd be blown away by this program! I could go on about this topic! Thank you Mayim! You rock! 🙏❤️
I’m a 17 outta 17! It was a long journey to get to that understanding of my experience thus far in life. Diagnosed with mental illness and medicated when I was young through much of life because I sensed things more than others, which meant something was wrong with me. I felt so misunderstood, knowing things weren’t like I was forced to believe they were. So you’re mentioning the suppression of your unique self was a very “seen” statement to me. Also, The empath term and understanding led me to this topic. I do feel, as an indigo child, a deep instinct/knowing of a long term plan that we are one of the waves to help us evolve for the betterment of the earth along with everything that lives on her. I appreciate your coverage on this topic! This is the first time I’ve seen your channel and I didn’t feel “made fun of” in these new terms linking with science. A Much appreciated bridge ! It really is another demonstration of how we are evolving. Thank you again☺️
This was a fascinating episode! I identify as an indigo child. 15/15. I have always been highly empathic and intuitive. I am an HSP and an INFJ personality type. I've always felt different and overly sensitive.
I love listening to Mayim and Jonathan discuss topics together. That the sun was coming through the window with all those beautiful colors reinforced the concept of auras.
As a Gifted ES Teacher, this describes all my students. Great variety of neurodiversity going on. I am going to read this for fun. Might give me a different view, which is always a good thing. According to this I am an Indigo child myself. lol
I'm only halfway into the questions, but I was already thinking "this just describes many gifted folks!", especially sensitive, idealistic types. Like me. Edit: I'm back. Yup, it's all just about idealistic, introverted, sensitive, creative, independent-minded gifted people. I think "indigo" overlaps or describes a much older theory posited by the Polish psychiatrist/psychologist (he was both) Dobrowski, who said that gifted people really are _different_ and these differences are sometimes pathologized and misdiagnosed as ADHD, Autism, Bipolar, &/or Narcissism. A decade ago, I attended a fascinating day-long seminar at a local university by an expert in this and while everyone else (including some mental health professionals attending) were going "Really? That's a gifted thing? Who knew?", _I_ was saying "Yeah, of course, _that_ fits with most gifted folks I've known, including me. So that's a gifted thing, huh?...interesting...makes sense." The lecturer explained it is possible to be both gifted _and_ have other conditions, but she laid out which "symptoms" are just "gifted" quirks and which indicate a true "condition". It was pretty illuminating for all of us. I also learned about "existential depression" and another kind (I forget which) I'd never heard of that made _so_ much sense of my own depression which started at age 12. I highly recommend reading up on this and perhaps letting your gifted kids &/or their parents know. It may help them avoid being misdiagnosed and could help them not feel so "different in a 'less-than' way".
I’m 62 as well, my mind is blown, Indigo Child indeed!!! Thank you so much!! I will order the book now!!! I recently began Reiki Certification because of the impact the practice improved my physical and mental health.
I got 17! I learned as a kid to project my aura or energy, so people would leave me alone and I wouldn't become overwhelmed. I have done this so long most people think that I am upset or angry. The aura color for me is so dark of a blue, that it appears to be black.
I knew something was different early on when I just could not understand why it was so important to stay inside the lines in my coloring books. Being so stubbornly different has meant that those who I’m close to and who are creative invariably call me their muse. Even though I need my alone time, I’m never lonely. Never, never discourage a child from being an indigo. It’s a gift. Btw, I can see Jonathan’s indigo aura clear as day.
17 out of 17 I'm a psychic medium who also reads tarot 😂 I've known there is more than this life and started seeing spirit when I was 5. I have always felt energy and can read peoples emotions and energy since I was a little girl. I'm 38 now❤ I stared my mediumship journey 4 years ago and have never felt more myself. Johnathan your Aura color for me is white and very grounded. White for me shows openess and higher conscious 💖🥰
17/17 here. I've always known I was different, other people also sense and comment about it too. Now that I know for sure, I better get down to fulfill my purpose in this lifetime 😅
Polarity works with meridian and thats what i study. The Chakras are glands and ur vegas nerve runs thru all ur glands which are really the chakras. When we balance this we are also working on vegus nerve and breathing. Balancing the vegus nerve is the nervous sysytem so its huge to have energy move and clear the channels meridians. Love this glad u guys are talking about it.
Loved this topic and conversation!!! I’m 75% because I’m a rule follower (unless it’s stupid). I’m an introvert but definitely a pack animal (so I’d still like to join the cult). 😊
Traits: 1) passionate person who does everything to accomplish your goals 2) you are an "old soul" ; you have a wisdom beyond your age ; also known as - you had a chaotic childhood and had to negotiate everyone's needs 3) free-thinker 4) you are a headstrong non-conformist; naughty, obnoxious, cannot stand to be controlled 5) truth-seeker; can tell a lie; prefer to suffer from the truth, than be comforted by lies 6) you are perceptive and intelligent 7) you are highly intuitive; intuit the best course of action, intuit secrets about others 8) you want to change the world ; create positive change on the planet, paradigm changer 9) you are empathetic and compassionate ; you care so much that it hurts, struggle with anxiety and depression as a result 10) you are a change-making leader. you find it difficult to obey authority ; especially if that is corrupt, illogical or outdated 11) you are idealistic ; can also turn to being critical and demanding 12) you have a loner / autonomous personality ; don't like to be held down, difficult to be in crowds 13) you are highly creative ; express itself through creativity 14) you have a strong connection with nature & animals 15) you are drawn towards spirituality over religion ; drawn to the message, not the messenger ; not interested in dogma 16) you struggle with boredom ; struggle with routine and conventional structures 17) you are prone to experiencing existential angst ; tend to ask questions "why do we suffer", "why were we born" I mean - I suppose I hit all 17/17 - but I find it a bit of a chique hippie term that describes trauma. I have in my spiritualy quests adopted the belief that in this lifetime my soul wanted to grow through trauma, but as I've worked through my hurts, I wouldn't call myself hypersensitive anymore, nor concerned that much with changing the world. I think that in altering myself for the positive, I change the world one interaction a time, and this is sufficient.
This has helped me gather insight on myself and my 6 year old boy. I don’t know his inner thoughts of course but seriously this was amazing 😭😭 I’ve been humming and mediating more. I’m going to cry just thinking about it. I wish everyone could hear these words and understand others in a deeper way. 💜💜
Thank you for this episode! I got a 16 out of 17. I am a rule follower until it's time to break the rules. I also see myself as someone who brings the winds of change. I've been told that I have a strong aura, although I don't recall the color. I'll have to check back on that part. This was an excellent learning opportunity to bridge the chasm between spirituality and science.
I am blown away! I also had all 17 indigo statements!!! I love that the 2 of you are open to having shows with these subjects!!!! I have had major insight and intuition my whole life. I realize that this show came out awhile ago so you might not see my comment however I would like to say thank you for the information I learned from the 2 of you. Thank you, Teena from dayton, oh.
I love this show I learned so much I never heard of an indigo child before until now.... And listening to the test you were giving Jonathan I guess I'm One too.. so Jonathan I'm one of us one of us one of us..lol
YES! 17 from 17 - it is me as well. The weird one… autistic, ADHD, intuitive, interested in Celtic, Mayan, Aztec wisdom… having healer and herbalist grandmother… etc. I am an Indigo Child :-)
I am a 61 year old indigo child, my 40 year old daughter is an indigo child, and her 10 year old daughter is an indigo child. We don't know about 6 year old yet. I have a neice and nephew who are indigo as well. Runs in my family. I am only an Empath, my daughter can see the dead and she also goes on journeys, she can see portals, portals scare me
I am a preschool teacher. Two years ago I had a 4 year old student who seemed to vibrate on a different level. She was disruptive and a loner and so full of magic. Truly amazing. I never thought to check her aura though.
Wow! I just heard the term "Indigo child" yesterday while scrolling on social media. Then this pops up today. I have all 17 characteristics; some stronger than others. I knew I was an empath, but I had no idea. I was meant to see this. ❤
When I was 17 I saw my mother's aura. She was utterly furious about something, but I couldn't hear a word she was saying because I was staring at this huge red glow surrounding her head. It would not go away, no matter how much I shook my head or blinked. It was utterly bizarre and I absolutely saw it; so I suddenly knew auras were absolutely real. I've never seen another one, but my mother was amazingly psychic. There were many displays of this that shocked me over the years, but the wildest one was when we were out shopping one day and she suddenly pulled a 180 in the car in the middle of traffic to race home as fast as she could drive, shouting something was wrong with my dad. We were all terrified, thinking she had lost her mind and we were all going to die with her behind the wheel. She screeched the car into the driveway just as my father came out of the backyard covered in blood, he'd cut his hand deeply with his band saw. It was saved because my mother was there and got him to the hospital so fast. These things were demonstrated to me, so I believe in them absolutely. I don't try to explain them though.
I'm from SO much trauma.. but now that I've listened to this, I'm 17 out of 17.. It truly does explain SO much about myself, as well as my oldest daughter..
Thank you for this video. I study constantly trying to understand myself and what's wrong with me. I'm 56. I have self diagnosed as autistic. I try to talk to people all the time. My family too. I have no real friends. My friends on Facebook are not friends. Yesterday I deactivated my facebook because it really hurts when no body likes or comments on my posts...after so long of being ignored and ostracized does begin to cause negative consequences in my body. Because I was trying so hard to be a good poster and post my art and post my cats. So I turned it off. And I'm gonna just take a break from that for now. I'm certain I am indigo as well. I created a you tube with all of my poetry almost 230 videos of poetry readings. But that is not doing well either. My art doesn't get any attention either. I'm not sure but sometimes it feels like I shouldn't be here. My cats need me so... maybe after the new year I'll get intuition to go in a different direction. Xo hugs
You worth more than social media. That being said, maybe look up some videos on how to promote your work or get more views on your art. I joined some art pages on social media. They understand me much more than my family and friends. I'm sorry you feel so alone
Do not judge yourself or your creativity by how others view or appreciate it. Love yourself and the creative process so many people will never have or understand. Be the light in the darkness, keep being yourself..who cares about the rest!?
one of my best friends in highschool who shares the same birthday as me is my spiritual guide, light worker and healer by trade. i went thru my awakening probably 4 months ago and she was the first person i went to. this journey has been so fulfilling because i felt like i had no purpose in life because i didnt follow the normal path. finding these things out about myself has awakened an energy in me i have always had but could never harness. thank you for this video.
17 out of 17 I'm an indigo child/adult. Thank you for going over this as it made SO many things make sense and made me feel less alone in these "indigo" feelings.
Mayim has a very attractive personality. She’s deep, intelligent, into neuroscience yet open to spirituality. I just hope she values all lives. I was saddened by her response with Israel’s atrocities in Gaza
The positive things about Indigo Children is that they are often born to be Lightworkers, spiritual healers, and teachers. A lot of Indigo Children are also Starseeds. You should research that term, and maybe to a show about them. I think a lot of listeners will say it makes a lot of sense and realize they may be one.
My son is an indigo child turned to an addict. It's been a horrible life for him. He didn't know how to handle the energy he picked up from others. He is a natural born healer. Once he taps into it. He was asked to go to the Phillipines at a young age to be a healer and work side by side w a world healer. He was to young and we didn't have the money. Wished I had done it.
@@stayfit57 I’m so sorry 😢. It’s actually not uncommon for Indigo children to have a really rough time in life. I have battled depression off and on my entire life. I hope he finds the path that’s right for him. All Indigo children need is supportive friends and family along the way.
I've always thought of myself as potentially being an indigo kid, I'm 41 now, and thank you for this confirmation. It's not an easy life, but it is one I'd choose over the alternative. I know what my convictions are and I'm innately resistant enough to stand on to them.
I haven't watched as I'm literally laying down to sleep very late right now, but I wouldn't be a good neurodivergent person if I didn't mention that the term indigo child/ren is also used by the new age woo woo granola types to dismiss neurodivergent children and even perpetuate ableism and abuse. Ask autistic communities about how they feel about the term and you'll get mixed feelings, but also a ton of information about the origins and people behind the term and craze. I myself used to think it was a compliment and I related until learning much more about it and the problematic nature of "spiritual bypassing" and like really problematic views of the woman who coined the word. OK now that I've infodumped I can sleep.
@kgonzalez8098 I found a lot by googling. Also try the phrases crystal children and blue children. Not to be that guy, but there are even genocidal connotations as such with people like Hans Asperger, which is another tangentially related but completely separate rabbit hole to explore which borders on the functioning labels and person first controversies, but is way more involved and has really sus history. It's even mentioned on the Wikipedia page about indigos.
This is true! I had a boss label me as an indigo child and use the cultural discourse around Indigo People to dismiss my valid accommodation needs as an autistic adult.
Yes, this! I used to run in those circles and was gaslit so many times about my disability. "You chose it before you came into this lifetime", "your thoughts created it" , "it's your karma" etc. I am neurodivergent but also have an invisible physical disability (or should I say, when people see me...which is when I'm well enough for the couple of hours to go out and interact). Ableism is rife in the new age community. What I also didn't know at the time was how many narcissists are in that community, as well as how many "empaths" (ie so many traumatized people who are spiritually bypassing). They attract each other, sadly. Or should I say, the narcs are predators and the empaths often victims. So many highly sensitive "empaths" are carrying childhood trauma and are hypervigilant, hence their extreme sensitivity and "ability" to read people. It all came to a head one day when I heard someone in a position of "leadership" say that another's parent had to be raped in order to fulfill their karma. WtheAF came out of my mouth and I shook my head awake. I had therapy before and still considered myself spiritual, but didn't realize I was still doing some spiritual bypassing of my own. I got more therapy and came to realize the difference between spirituality and magical thinking (sometimes still an ongoing process). How to recognize narcs, set boundaries and how to undo a lot of conditioning. I have had quite a number of precognitive dreams, lots of deja vu and other unexplainable incidents. But I would never call myself psychic or gifted in that respect. It's not at will and I can certainly be comfortable that there are many mysteries in this world without having to explain all of them. So many of these traits of so called indigo children - let's say so many can relate. Creative? Sensitive? Introverted? Strong onnection to animals? They're very general, and of course self identified. I've known wildly creative people who don't think they are, and others who scrapbook and think they are. I'm not the one to judge but creativity is a feature of humans. We tend to think of it as the arts, but I disagree. People can be creative in how they problem solve, for eg. Or even how they arrange their tools. I have a relative who has always thought they are an indigo adult. In fact, they are a malignant narcissist. (when I figured this out and showed all the info about malig narcs to other family members, they all agreed) New age is commercialized "spirituality". We are all special and unique. Yes, some are more gifted in certain areas than others - that can be a blessing and a curse. But do I personally believe in indigo children/adults? No.
I’ve read a bit on the topic & crystal children are unique in the fact that they have no pressing need to communicate with “humans” b/c they have a direct connection to the creator. At this point in time are often labeled as Autistic. A new labeling system for individuals who don’t fit the norm 💜
@@naturalherbremedies1388 thank you for sharing! I will have to research that more as I am autistic and I was born in 1999 which is within the crystal generation.
Wow! I’m 71 but I think I may just be an Indigo Child. All the descriptions fit! I am blown away. Currently working as a life coach and a color ray energist, working with clients using intuitive and empathetic gifts. I’ve been given an understanding of color ray energies as a synesthete. Jonathan, in my system, blue is the color for communication, clarity of message, you soothe and settle and are not afraid of responsibility. Indigo, on the other hand is potential and possibility.
This is truly a unique moment for myself. Like a vibrational uplifting. This one video should become it's own thread and adventure. Just imagine if we really could spend the time to learn who we all are.
Broken heart syndrome is real. I was horribly betrayed and my heart physically hurt and after the shock of my reality exploding wore off, I became literally ill. It’s no joke and should be acknowledged more
Yup, I can relate.
Why many spouses soon pass after their love passed.
True and hard to deal with sadly when you wake up and so many betrayed a HSP it can be devestatign and hard to come back from too. I feel you. 🙏
I’ve always thought Anna Nicole Smith died of a broken heart when her son died. She died approximately five months after he did.
Carrie Fisher-Debbie Reynolds
It comforts my heart to know there are others like me! I too am a 54 yr old Indigo adult.
As another AuDHDer, I had the same thought.
My thoughts exactly.
👏🏼🫶🏻👏🏼🫶🏻👏🏼
Agreed
(Oh yeah, I had started making up little tunes on the piano around the same age I started drawing, in 1st/2nd grade)
Enormous gifts can also be heavy burdens. As you know.
A few years ago I was at a conference for activists in a certain field, and complained to a fellow attendee, I'm bursting with ideas but seem to have so little time to actually put them in action.
So he just shrugged and said, "Get a staff!"
Ok.... working on it!
@@ericafrenk6747 I have never read someone from a photo or writing, I have only done in person. But I don't read anything of ill health.
@@lyndachele Wow, that's as accurate as it gets. Truly a blessing, not a curse.
I agree that it can be a curse ... I'm also a raw medical intuitive ... it's hard to "see" these things and people refuse to listen or be open to it until it's too late.
We Indigoes actually had chat groups at one point, which some have tapered off. We are here to bring in new loving society systems. ❤
Your group probably disbanded because “Indigos” don’t follow through with tasks and find if difficult to get things accomplished
@reelincoln7747 I can't speak for all of them, but I have PTSD from various things, and that keeps me busy and tired. So I don't know.
I wish I could find people like that. It's hard to feel this much on your own. I feel whoever I date will have to understand that part of me
@@reelincoln7747it’s OK to change your mind tooooo
I would have loved that chat room as a child unfortunately I was a 1990s baby so yuuuus before this would have been easily found
Indigo child was never meant to be derogatory or negative.
ADHD imo is a label to prescribe medicine. ADHD traits can be equated to a lot of things. Health, nutition, allergies etc...
I’m very impressed Mayim is open to the ideas of chakras and energy in spiritual terms, along with being grounded in science. As a HSP empath, I identify with some of these traits.

I know! This is so cool. I grew up watching her and now she’s speaking my language! 🤩
Oooooof….. this smacked me like a ton of bricks… I remember my mom reading up on this when I was a kid and I didn’t know why, but I was the black sheep of the abusive cycle and I was the youngest out of my siblings and the first one who was like “oh… no this isn’t gonna work for me” 🤣 and proceeded to break every stigma and expectation my family had for me 🙃 my grandma was just like this too.
Yes!
I know many adults that work hard to block their abilities (alcohol, drugs, busyness, smoking) so I’m hoping you can connect more people with these concepts.
that would be so great!
a non- communal category undefined, non-kook aid drinking cult
Again with the ADHD… anyone want to back me up that ADHD IS often related to many of these traits and people can have both a psychiatric disorders and such metaphysical phenomenon ….it is a highly researched reality for many actual psychiatric disorders … there is unbelievable bias however. It’s pervasive (I am also bias I guess lol.. bc I was dx with ADHD at 53. ) The treatment changed my life tremendously . Still, I am intuitive and an “indigo” adult haha
being an empath is exhausting sometimes! However, finding out I was an empath gave me some relief and understanding.
LOVED this episode, everything you talked about resonated so much 💙
but it also made me sad.. unfortunately, i grew up in a violent household and my narcissistic parents abused me so bad and for so long, i now have borderline personality disorder. i went no contact with my family and i’m actively healing now. oftentimes i feel like they broke that indigo child, but i know it’s bigger than that and i will find my way back to myself 💜
thank you so much for this episode!
Me too.
Thank God for great grandma's. I had one also and she was my life raft.
Such a great explanation "Attention was Dialed to a Higher Dimension". I don't have ADHD but i know those who do are very gifted
I'm 57 & just learned that I'm an Indigo child. Amazing how all of this resonated with me. This explains so much of my life. Great topic!!
PLEASE CHECK INTO AUTSIM.... it sounds like autism and a neurodivergent brain.
Always had an animal in my life, I have far more critter friends than humans because they're real, no bill 💩. I'd love to know all they know.

“My soul is very old and very tired” I felt that! 🥲😂❤
(I’ll ask him about Jonathan’s aura, btw)
Most people who have the characteristics of indigo children would likely have a yellow/golden aura.
Anyhoo! That’s probably the longest TH-cam comment I’ve ever made. lol.
Also, not to nitpick, but that shirt is not indigo.. it’s more of a blue-green and indigo is blue-violet. Just sayin’

It makes sense to me that these things are connected...it’s just the way I think. I pick up on subtleties..but often miss what the nuerotypical find obvious.
They are diagnosing a lot of people with autism. They just want to put a label on anything. You are not autistic
U sound so narcissistic

Was told I was a indigo child by my grandmother as a 10 year old, now 25 years later I find out I have AuDHD
Maybe it was autism that you latched onto... because that's more "normal" these days.
Thank you for the last sentence 😌
I really don't understand this statement. Indigo children are not notoriously difficult. In fact, they are quite mindful and intelligent
Thank you so much for breaking down and discussing the topic of indigo children. Much love to you Mayim! ❤
Loved this! I would not call myself an indigo child or any other "spiritual terms" but i do resonate deeply with just about all 17 aspects, ive always had leadership qualities and i feel them and can tap into them and tap into extroversion but my heart is more of an introvert...more of an "all is welcome" type of personality as well..i dont need to lead, i want to walk along loving people...which is why i especially laughed at the group gathering Johnathan suggested at the very end lol thats exactly what id reply with...i love to be around open minded, open hearted people...its a beautiful journey of self and the world and i truly just want to honor the earth and continue to learn, its quite a simple and beautiful life
Love this episode. Fantastic. If I had one wish, it would be to have a sit down with Mayim and ask her all sorts of questions. She is a delight.

Indigo children was a way of explaining autistic kids. It was super toxic because it expected us to be world savers when in fact we were dealing with massive amounts of bullying and serious overstimulation with the senses.

How cool, where at?
I am SO INDIGO. Although I knew this already l didn't know all 17. Ironically I'm wearing an indigo colored shirt with rainbow socks right now. 🌈💕😊
😂 look at that ego
Trust me.
I was called that many times when I was young. Sounds exactly like AuDHD. I was recently late diagnosed at 😊51.

I’d love to hear!
Her mom said, "How can one not be amazed when one realizes their child, who is in Kindergarten, is now capable of using her knowledge to help her parents feel better!" I love that you do that. That’s wonderful. We all have unique gifts. Have you read ‘the child whisperer’ by Carol Tuttle? I highly recommend it. 💖
@@katiegreenwood8738 thank you for letting me know about the book. I will order it.
As an Autistic ADHDH person and licensed therapist it sounds like "Indigo Child" is a synonym for Neurodivergent.
58 year old Indigo here. I check all the boxes, and was always shamed for being too sensitive, flighty, clumsy, with my head in the clouds, etc etc
My mom send me this i got 17/17... Such a great episode i really loved it ❤️
You rock! 🙏❤️
I remember the TV show, “ The Outer Limits”. Loved it!
Same!
So that's a gifted thing, huh?...interesting...makes sense."
The lecturer explained it is possible to be both gifted _and_ have other conditions, but she laid out which "symptoms" are just "gifted" quirks and which indicate a true "condition".
His Aura is spectacular
Not referring to the sun, btw
Polarity works with meridian and thats what i study. The Chakras are glands and ur vegas nerve runs thru all ur glands which are really the chakras. When we balance this we are also working on vegus nerve and breathing. Balancing the vegus nerve is the nervous sysytem so its huge to have energy move and clear the channels meridians. Love this glad u guys are talking about it.
Loved this topic and conversation!!! I’m 75% because I’m a rule follower (unless it’s stupid). I’m an introvert but definitely a pack animal (so I’d still like to join the cult). 😊

I mean - I suppose I hit all 17/17 - but I find it a bit of a chique hippie term that describes trauma.
I think that's the answer. Good for you.
Changing the world one interaction at a time, just by being yourself, sounds perfect to me :)
As someone who is revisiting an aspergers dx from 1980, I'm noticing the traits match that of asd. I identify with all 17 plus the asd traits.
I'm with you, Jonathan! An undiagnosed, hard-core Indigo Adult. Hurray for us! We're not crazy--we're "special"!
Interesting...
I appreciate & respect you for sharing your personal truths. Keep your mind & spiritually Positively Strong. 🥰🌟 Blessings to you 🙏🏼💝🌹
Instagram!!!!! It feels good when new people follow you. F facebook
“Indigo children are children who turn blue from drinking colloidal silver.” 😂😂😂
17 out of 17 I'm an indigo child/adult. Thank you for going over this as it made SO many things make sense and made me feel less alone in these "indigo" feelings.
Indigo child would be considered on the Myers Briggs scale as INFJ personality? I too am a "Indigo Child."
Mayim has a very attractive personality. She’s deep, intelligent, into neuroscience yet open to spirituality. I just hope she values all lives. I was saddened by her response with Israel’s atrocities in Gaza
I've been hearing about indigo children since the late '80s. Its New Age, Celestine Prophecy kind of stuff. Science is catching up.
This man may be the chosen one for the mighty Indigo Children Who are Special!!
I'm clairvoyant and Empath I'm a healer.medical as well
@@Icare4uboo I’m also Clairvoyant, an Empath, a little bit of a Medium, and can do some healing using my energy. I’m a Starseed as well.
Isn't the starseed ideology like... Born out of antisemitism, white supremacy, and far right UFO occult?
You need to elaborate this is intereting
(when I figured this out and showed all the info about malig narcs to other family members, they all agreed)
New age is commercialized "spirituality".
We are all special and unique. Yes, some are more gifted in certain areas than others - that can be a blessing and a curse. But do I personally believe in indigo children/adults? No.
Im on my mission already, im grown up indygo, working in silence. We Are Already Here! Im happy to see that you notice us. Let us do our work. Onward!
Can you guys speak on crystal children as well? I am curious to know about the others
Actually another name for Light Workers perhaps??
I like the dandelion wish light source! Don’t change for anyone J!
❤❤
Indigo child here 🤚🏻 So great to see Mayim & Jonathan cover this topic!!
This is truly a unique moment for myself. Like a vibrational uplifting. This one video should become it's own thread and adventure. Just imagine if we really could spend the time to learn who we all are.
