    Hey Angelica! Just on your first point about how our bodies are "just spiritual vessels" I just wanted to point out that (at least in roman catholic and I believe also orthodox doctrine) we all have to be very careful with that concept as it was one that lead to an extremely destructive heresy within history, that stated our bodies are inherently sinful and therefore we could anything with them because our souls were unaffected and transcendent of the physical body. This lead to an outbreak of chaos in that time period regarding the theology of the body and how our physical bodies are intrinsically connected to our souls. Just wanted to put that out there I guess. Great video as always! I hope you're doing well - A younger sister in christ

    ASMR plus philosophy is a winning combination. Questioning minds, more attuned to attaining wisdom, will get it. Others, not seeing the unreality of the Grid or Matrix may need more time - to start deprogramming from the psychic swindlers of this world.
    Continue the ‘Great Work’, Angelica!

      I don’t think it’s an illusion at all, or a concept as such. Although I guess we do view it as a concept. But I just think it’s an attachment we form with something that we’ve learnt benefits our lives. Whether it’s a person, our favourite food or our smartphone. It’s just chemicals and neurons firing
      Which doesn’t bother me though, I love love. Knowing it’s just brain science doesn’t make it any less meaningful. It’s the most important thing imo and what makes life worth living

      @@tvagicwell, if you take a minute to really think about it, the differenciaton between types of love, the hierchisation, and all the expectations from it is something that was made up by mankind through millenia of existence and experience, but the raw feeling of love, of appreciation, of adoration is something that exists in everything since forever

      @LostStarChaser 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@tvagicputting my two cents in, I believe that we have "made up" any sort of concept because there is a certain uniqueness to humanity. That said, our bodies, brains, and perhaps souls, should you believe in one, react to these emotions, these concepts. If it is an "illusion", but we interact with it in every way, every day, that honestly nullifies the definition of illusion.

    • @gandalainsley6467

      Only thing humans have that is not illusion is hunger. Rest is our emotions creating illusions for us. Love, anger , happiness, sadness ect. Its all illusions. When you don't feel any of that you just feel hungry in every sense of the word. Also free will only works because of those illusions. To have free will you need to care enough to have a choice.

    Oh hey! You popped up in my reccomend again! I'm a passing viewer that can't hope to attain to the level of forethought and intelligence you've demonstrated. But I remember seeing some odd gossip video by some dude that claimed you had been "canceled" which social retaliation especially in your case where you didn't do anything wrong and nothing more than express yourself, anyway I was concerned, but agreed that the OF was a pressure by people who care nothing for you to do their will, which is ill-intentioned and cares not if its demeaning. (I often fret over the poor women in "adult" media jobs... I hope the effect is not too detrimental and they aren't fooled by the manipulative lies exploitative men give...)
    Anyway I heard you had thought to explore religion? I don't know if that's accurate, but if it is i wanted to suggest the "Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints." The Mormons basically. Admittedly their past had polygamy something I still struggle with, and fear you (and others) would too, and I understand (to a degree I'm not a woman) but we also claim to have active revelation and (this sounds arrogant) to be Christ's church, or led by him. Mmm... hard sale, but if you want if you feel (and there's a huge emphasis on personal revelation/feelings) like your interested and it might draw you closer to God and therefore closer to the wellspring of truth understanding and reconciliation. Anyways: your welcome and invited.
    Sorry that was awkward. No worries whatever you think. I just wanted you to have more happiness in your life after all you've been through and I wondered if there might be more to be found there/here. Hopes and prayers your way!

      Hi there! Angelica made a video about her religious journey on her other channel, if you'd like to watch it. Your invite to the lds church is very kind, but I wanted to encourage you to look into church history more if the polygamy thing is bothering you. There's way more sketchy stuff than that (blood oaths, child marriage, etc). I was born and raised in the church but left because of all of the weird and harmful things going on (including the legal trouble happening right now with the first presidency). There are definitely good things about the church, including the emphasis on building a relationship with the savior and personal revelation, like you said. Most members aren't really aware of the entirety of the church's history and doctrine, hence why I'm bringing this up.
      I'm not trying to convince you to leave. I just want members to have all the information on the church to make an informed decision to join, stay, or leave. If the church brings you peace, and the good outweighs the bad in your eyes, that's great! Anyways, God loves you!! Have an amazing day. Prayers 🫶

    • @Yourneighbor1112
      @Yourneighbor1112 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@singingbythebrook Thanks, yeah, I brought up polygamy, but I'm at least partially aware of many other things. But you're absolutely right there are many who are members but have little or skewed knowledge on church history.
      I wasn't aware of the current legal trouble? Awhile back there was the "whistleblowing" on church assets, and before that i believe it came to light one of the seventy had been involved in sexual misconduct (egregious in my opinion), but i wasn't aware of anything recent... Usually i'm up-to-date on these things as I often consider myself a long-time "truth-seeker"
      And it's okay if you ever do want to convince me or anyone else to leave. I support people doing what they believe is right. well, I guess i have limits... I suppose the Hamas attacks were considered God-condoned, but I was pained deeply by the deaths, torture, sexual abuse and other things that I suppose the people believed were "right"... But trying to spread awareness of the evil history/present of an organization? I see no moral quandary with that.
      I was going to ask though, it's likely you know much more than me on the subject, with the blood oaths, you meant the vow of vengeance Brigham Young Instituted for the Temple endowment ceremony, right? Or is it the until the 90's throat slitting movement with promise to not share performance details? Or (and this was why i was asking) is there something else I don't know about? I prefer to know all the details, not that I can claim i know truth or anything like that, If i did... well that'd be nice, lol. Oh! and child marriage that was the 14 year old Mrs. Alger right? Or is there more I'm unaware of? I am still deeply troubled by this instance, and many other instances of Joseph Smith's polygamy, though much more disturbed by Brigham Young's practice and preaching's on it... I'm waxing on too much, this probably isn't the place, and I'm certain no one is interested in the complex and poignant feelings I have on this and related subjects... Um, thanks. I appreciate you looking out, and I hope you continue, I know there are those who are members and don't care a lick for these things, but in case you reach out to a member (like me) who does care deeply about these issues, and is yet unaware, I request you continue, if I had my way, I'd rather that everyone know each flaw in the church/leaders, and I suppose in all churches/leaders though I do not know them as well.
      mmm, this might be too much, but I would want to ask... How did you come to the conclusion to leave? What was your process for determining truth? or... Is it subjective? I know that's already accepted paradigm for many, but I just wanted to... idk get more input. No worries if you don't want or have time or etc.. this probably isn't a great place anyway. Thanks again, and God bless you to (not that I can tell him what to do, but I'd still wish that for you.)

    • @singingbythebrook
      @singingbythebrook 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Yourneighbor1112 yes! You're completely correct on the blood oath and child marriage thing. And as for the legal stuff, I'm referring to the finances thing you mentioned that happened a little bit ago, but also as of earlier this month they're being sued again for not being truthful about where they use the tithing money. I haven't done full in depth research into the entirety of that case so far but it's super easy to find.
      Leaving was a really long process for me. It started when I was younger with small things, like how they got so nervous when I asked answers in sunday school that they didn't know the answers to. My leaders would immediately shut down the conversation and tell me to just pray. When I was about 14 I asked my yw president why women were important in the church if men were the ones who held the priesthood. She told me that our job is to make sure that they're worthy enough to hold it and keeping them in line. That really rubbed me the wrong way. Not the gender roles necessarily, but the fact that my whole purpose was to "serve men".
      I realized I wasn't straight around the same age and was so incredibly distraught. I prayed every night for Heavenly Father to not make me feel that way.
      I've moved a lot and gone to quite a few wards and the way they treated me and my other queer friends just wasn't in line with Christ.
      Every time I tried to pull away, or didn't go to church for a bit to get my head straight, people would start messaging me being all friendly, then once I felt comfortable and thought they were just trying to be friends, they'd invite me to church stuff and go right back to being strangers/acquaintances.
      Combining my personal experiences with my extreme discomfort with church history, I decided to leave.
      I definitely have more experiences that I can point to, but they're more personal.
      To answer your question about determining the truth: the church tends to tell its members to only do research using church approved books and stuff. Look into those AND other ones. Cover all your bases, because the church resources for that are biased and so are anti-lds ones. Read up on everything you can, then decide what to do from there. Like I said in my previous comment if the good outweighs the bad for you, that's wonderful! If the bad outweighs the good for you, leaving is really hard but there's happiness outside of the church too. Learn everything you can and figure out what will bring you the most joy and peace in this life.
      Thanks for listening to my little ramble 😭 I wish you the absolute best. God bless you as well 🥰

      @@singingbythebrook No. Thank you. That was good read. And I'm sorry your experience was like that. I had heard at times there were those who viewed women as "subject too" in the dichotomy of gender. I also thought that was demeaning, no matter how some tried to convince me it wasn't. Though I still don't know how genders work, especially if they're planned (e.g. God intended), and with the distressing double standard and lesser treatment of women in the past (and present regretfully (in looking at other churches i was surprised at the amount that took Paul's culturally based musings on "proper" female behavior as God's definitive law (it was... discouraging...))) how a proper equivalence is even supposed to look... Anyway I'm sorry that was your experience, and with mistreatment based on orientation, with your own wrestle with it... well you're very strong, stronger than me I can say that with confidence.
      And thank you again for your insight. It might all be too complex for me, I've definitely noticed the tint an pro or an anti source colors things with, though i don’t really know how to see the real color beyond. But I do hope the more input especially input like yours that's more personal/genuine, the more I'll hopefully be better able to near truth.
      Honestly, you're a mensch, and I hope all the (honestly harsh and terrible sounding) difficulty you've endured works together for your good. Thanks again! 😁
