Odong-odong Karawang is an art form typical of the Sundanese community in Karawang Regency that features an accompaniment of lion, dragon, and or garuda dolls carried by the performers while dancing. On top of the puppet usually sits a child who will be circumcised or a public figure. The odong-odong performance is generally performed by adult men who are members of a group of 1 puppet carried by 4 people, a group leader, several waditra players, and one or two jajangkungan (players who use 3-4 meters long wood to walk). The players are people who have special skills, both in dancing and playing the instruments. The special skills need to be possessed by each player because in a collective sisingaan performance, a solid team is needed so that all the dance movements played while carrying the lion doll can be in harmony with the music played by the nayaga.
