    Great video!! Do you want real closterfobic I spent 7 years in the NAVY on submarines . I was on SSBN 619 634 and the USS bonefish . The 2 SSBN got out around more than 70 days . When you start sub school there are 35 guys then by the time you actually go out to sea only 20 or so make it. I would have stayed in for 20 years as I was already a e-5 . But it was not in the cards a torpedo reload test made the stupid torpedo swing and crush me . Now I have no use from the waist down. I have a morphine pump but I get to sit and watch you great videos !!!!

      OOOH Man, I cannot imagine being down in a Sub for any amount of time ... I am 6' 4" I would have had the longest running head ache in the history of the Navy.... I was also in the Navy VFA-125 Stationed in NAS Lemoore California... Loved what I was doing ((AMS on F/A-18 - The Hornet)) and love my Duty Station... But, after 4 years I had had enough.. LOL Thank you for your Service, sorry to hear of your injury... Have a Great Memorial Day weekend.. and Keep watch MY Videos... LOL

      John Murphy I realize this is months later, and thank you for your service, & so sorry for your disability ! Can I ask what you meant by "they could've made 'non-addicting pain meds', but then it'd mean no repeat customers because 'no more pain' " ? I've never heard they could do that. Thanks.

    Everyone wants to criticize him for the repair. But sometimes you have to do what you can to get by untill you have the money to repair it properly. I used the same metal duct/flashing tape on my exhaust as a "temporary repair". It worked pretty well. There was a bad smell from the glue heating up on the exhaust from the tape but it passed over time. But sometimes you have to do what you have to to get by.

    I like the use of the wire and the thought of the electrical tape buried in there roasting away. But you need clamps to make it all hold together. I'd use lots of foil tape first, then the wire, then more foil tape (lots of it!) , then a bunch of hose clamps.

    diesel 101. glow plugs are used to heat the air in the combustion chamber during cold start because heat during first start is lost to the temp of the engine block. after the engine heats up the air fuel mixture is ignited by the pressure of the engine. without the glow plugs the engine will take forever to start in very cold areas.

    I tried using hvac tape before and before I did it, I held a torch on it, all the sticky shit came off but it didn't burn as well it's aluminum tape but I put it on my exhaust anyways and that bitch was coming off almost instantly. I knew the exhaust got hot but damn, the hvac tape what was interesting as hell, is after holding the torch on it for over a minute I accidentally touched it and was like fuck, then realized nothing happened so I touched it a few times super quick then held it and it wasn't even hot or warm

    My question is How long should this last?

    • @Redneckmfg
      @Redneckmfg  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The exhaust will last forever or until it falls off and gets run over by the car or truck behind you... as far as the Transmission -- that is a loaded question.... how big is the hole? is the hole above the fluid level or below the fluid level?How many Miles do you drive per trip? how many miles do you drive Biannually? can you tape the hole shut? (that will keep unwanted dirt and animals from getting inside the transmission)…. I must have all of these answers and more to accurately calculate just how long it should last !!! Thanks for watching and for this comment !!!

      The Puncture in the transmission pan is about the size of my thumb. I posted A short videos showing the damage on my page.
      Would I be able to use JB Weld or some type of muffler cement to patch it up? And then the muffler is dented and broken by the exhaust. If I were to patch this up would I have to worry about backfiring or overheating since the muffler is dented? Please take a look and give me some advice I really need this car, I just got out, I’m on Parole, and I was supposed to start work this week.

I’ll post a video later to let you know how it came out🤞 . I never really posted videos before though, you know?

    They make tape especially designed for exhaust repair -- apparently you're using something different, because you already had parts on the way. The special tape is supposed to last for months or years.

    It blew out before the end of the video... did you ever work for NASA? I know they had a few explosions so I was just wondering if you were on the repair team lol

    Electrical tape and coat hangers might as well of use popsicle sticks and hot glue it would last longer. And smell better. Plus bonus Popsicles!

      @Redneckmfg  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmmm ! I never thought of hot glue.. Thats a good idea actually ... everytime it would heat up it would reseal it after it cooled down !!!! I like that Idea...LOL Thanks for watching

    i love my dodge but it's rusty then all hell no thx to michigan winters anyway my muffler fell off and ive been scouring internet for ideah's to get a permanent hillbilly fix(500 dollar truck) with some muffler mend and cast and with your wire trick it keeps my heat shield (soup can) from directly touching my muffler cast witch would normally melt off in a month or less been 2 months now and it seems likes its going to work ty very much!!!!

    • @Redneckmfg
      @Redneckmfg  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did it work ?? is it still working ?? if not bring that Bitch to Delaware.... my shop rate are reasonable and my fixes will last for mile zzzzzzzz.....

    • @FaLc0n420
      @FaLc0n420 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      yea all is well with the truck muffler has held up fine 4 layers now lol. joiner piece with muffler bond and some thick steel coat hangers attached by worm clamps then my soup can heat shield, then i wrapped the whole thing in a muffler cast not very pretty but im hoping it will hold for the winter fingers crossed and not to seem rude or a smart ass but if i could drive to delaware for automotive repair i wouldn't be driving a 500 dollar truck :P but thank you for the offer all the same

    Isn't there a type of silcone tape you can use now ? I just was reading up on this stuff & I'm in awe ! It fuses to itself and has a doesn't melt ? I believe it can take up to 500°F. (Not sure how hot your truck gets, but I hope it isn't over 500° F. lol)
    Nice video.

    • @DLee1923
      @DLee1923 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Redneck Mfg. Right. And from the articles and videos on this tape, there are now many more and even clear rolls, and they're decently sized also, now. And this stuff has ZERO adhesive materials to it ! Amazing ! I was in a bittersweet moment while in awe at the same time. Bittersweet because I felt like I was seeing the end of my need for the old faithful Duct tape ! sniff lol Thanks again.

And the foil tape kept the noise level down until the new system was installed..... LOL Thanks for watching and for the comment
