    7:19 artery or nerve? when talking about local anesthetic, arent the nerves being put to sleep? (ty for all your videos btww)

    For local anesthesia, are we trying to hit the nerves or the arteries?

      You're trying to hit NEAR the nerve and arteries. Local anesthetics need to be deposited as close to the nerve as possible so that optimal diffusion of the drug may occur. If you hit the bloodstream, a hematoma (blood bubble) can result.
