Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate the 550 as thoroughly as you did, Sari. Very much appreciated! ❤️Nancy

Thank you for the precision of this tutorial and not dragging it out to an unnecessary 20 minutes!

I recently bought this Dahle trimmer, and while it's good I did have some issues with it.
It can cut through 20 sheets of paper, but the edges are frayed. Same thing happened with thicker card. But this seems to be an issue with rotary cutters.
I prefer to use my Dahle guillotine for cutting paper and thicker card, the cut is cleaner.

I am looking for a large, sturdy Trimmer, so if I can find this one, I will get it. Great review

How thick is the chipboard that you used? Does it cut 5mm or 10mm size like what is used for albums?

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi there... I'm not sure what thickness it was... The description says that one can use materials up to 2 mm ... I believe it was in that range...

I saw some videos where the measuring lines are fading away and after 2 years using this rotary trimmer I would like to know your opinion and experience about it. Many thanks for your videos ... I have been following you for years.

      hi there...
i suppose that after having used the trimmer every day, that the measurements will wear off, which is a shame...
i haven't used it as much...
it seems to work just fine...
but... i had another trimmer, fiskars, that I used regularly, and the bland got dull after a couple of years - and after quite a bit of work with chipboard...
i still believe that the roller blad trimmers are the best, when it comes to working with tough materials...
i use a guillotine for everyday work... cutting papers and such... that seems to work just fine :)...
and the precision blad trimmer for special card folds...
i use them all - but to different things :)...

Have you tried to contact the company? Maybe they can replace it and give some advice to protect the surface, looks like a very good and strong paper trimmer.

      Hello, H Bollen. I don’t have a 550 but my Dahle 507 cuts aluminum foil crisply!👍🏾

Never ever pick your trimmer up by the rail.
