As a C's fan, I am disappointed the team hasn't found a rhythm and I want them to because they seem like great young guys with a lot of potential (Rozier, Brown, Tatum) mixed with experience (Irving, Horford,). I enjoy the way they always play Golden State at such a high level because the Warriors are the champs and set the standard for everyone. I hope the C's find a rhythm soon because, come playoff time, it will be difficult to reach the Finals with teams like Toronto standing at the gate as well.
That point at the end, on the surface is crazy. But the reality of it is, and I like the C's, 'dubs making more 3's changes the complexion of the game and probably gives them more momentum to make a run. Just magically giving the 50+% on threes in a vacuum, might still be a loss, but let's not act like it doesn't affect the game when teams are suddenly making back to back threes and their deficit is dwindling.

Celtics played a team in the Warriors missing their best starting perimeter defender (Klay, who is usually giving Irving problems, so much so that almost anytime he faced them on the Cavs he immediately needed a ball screen to consistently score), and they really looked like they didn't want to play after the first quarter or so. I take this win for the Celtics with a grain of salt. They got great contributions from Smart and Hayward on both ends of the court; something that they have not (and I do not expect) them to go get this season. I will say it was a hell of a job for Stevens to not only consistently get Demarcus Cousins in isolation and have the Celtics feed off their passing. But have a few calls go against them; particularly Smart; when he is struggling shooting (he is a streaky shooter so it happens quite a bit); watch what will happen, the situation ALWAYS snowballs and Kyrie Irving is left trying to isolate possessions to prevent the game from getting out of hand; and what that in turn does is sap the energy from the rest of his teammates. Jalen Rose said it best; "The ball is energy, you keep passing the ball and getting guys touches they will suddenly expend more energy because they are touching the ball", that had always been the secret of the San Antonio Spurs for years. But when you have a lesser player instead of Klay Thompson defending Irving; he knows he can at anytime shoot the amount of shots he wants to (star scorers usually have a set number in their head for them to shoot for their team to win, consciously or unconsciously) because it is a given he can beat that player to the basket or for a jumpshot whenever he wants. The Raptors will be the team to beat in the East. They are very well built; with great depth and have a superstar in Leonard who can score against just about anyone and they defend incredibly well. The Bucks also have a better chance than the Celtics; though they match up poorly to the Celtics (mainly because Boston is in the lane for more than 5 seconds on defense; the old Doc Rivers defense against a younger Lebron James; dare the referee call defensive three seconds every possession tactic). Hell if Ben Simmons ever decides to learn to shoot jumpshots, the Sixers can be in the finals over the Celtics.

Celtics played a team in the Warriors missing their best starting perimeter defender (Klay, who is usually giving Irving problems, so much so that almost anytime he faced them on the Cavs he immediately needed a ball screen to consistently score), and they really looked like they didn't want to play after the first quarter or so. I take this win for the Celtics with a grain of salt. They got great contributions from Smart and Hayward on both ends of the court; something that they have not (and I do not expect) them to go get this season. I will say it was a hell of a job for Stevens to not only consistently get Demarcus Cousins in isolation and have the Celtics feed off their passing. But have a few calls go against them; particularly Smart; when he is struggling shooting (he is a streaky shooter so it happens quite a bit); watch what will happen, the situation ALWAYS snowballs and Kyrie Irving is left trying to isolate possessions to prevent the game from getting out of hand; and what that in turn does is sap the energy from the rest of his teammates. Jalen Rose said it best; "The ball is energy, you keep passing the ball and getting guys touches they will suddenly expend more energy because they are touching the ball", that had always been the secret of the San Antonio Spurs for years. But when you have a lesser player instead of Klay Thompson defending Irving; he knows he can at anytime shoot the amount of shots he wants to (star scorers usually have a set number in their head for them to shoot for their team to win, consciously or unconsciously) because it is a given he can beat that player to the basket or for a jumpshot whenever he wants. The Raptors will be the team to beat in the East. They are very well built; with great depth and have a superstar in Leonard who can score against just about anyone and they defend incredibly well. The Bucks also have a better chance than the Celtics; though they match up poorly to the Celtics (mainly because Boston is in the lane for more than 5 seconds on defense; the old Doc Rivers defense against a younger Lebron James; dare the referee call defensive three seconds every possession tactic). Hell if Ben Simmons ever decides to learn to shoot jumpshots, the Sixers can be in the finals over the Celtics.

Warriors have lost on their home floor to Toronto, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, & now Boston this year. Its a good win no doubt, but its not like the C's just did something amazing that no one else in the East has been able to do. Just 1 game.
