Would be funny, if some maps had one-way only connections though, for example if you only could pass from the Office Entry to the Admin Entry but not back. Of course, the Admin Entry would then have to connect to the Office Hall, to make sure you can't get trapped in a pocket.
The last frame once you take the capital proved that you can't go to that territory because you can see the one up from the red cap but not that territory
The guessing of what territories are connecting is INSANE. It could be such a simple fix if SMG provides some option, like some button, when you hit it you can hover over the territories and they simulate the attacking arrows so you can easily gauge which connections are possible and reduce guesswork and pathing errors.
I think O2 Canisters (the territory that gave you trouble in the yellow kill) is the same as the red capital where you can attack one way but not the other
Wonder if its a wierd thing were you cant see it because its fog but you can still click on it maybe or theres a hidden part to these maps we dont understand like being an "imposter" is randomly selected each game and imposters can attack wierd locations due to using vents or something ie if its a room with a vent in the game it might be able to connect to an area next to it so the area were you thought it connected has a vent in among us so maybe if you were selected as the imposter youd be able to go to that area then again maybe its a specific color so red players might have an advantage on among us maps and its a little teaser we dont know
Wondering this since I've seen the blizzard glitches posted about but this not yet mentioned. Would it be possible to attempt to maintain a stack both within and outside the blocked sections? A long-shot at best but I have yet to see the thought mentioned.
I've had the same experience, office entry could not be accessed in that spot. Also had a blizzard on office vents on storage and bottom corner of drop ship D's echo that split the map in half with no way to cross over😂🤣
As someone that spent a lot of time on Polus, the layout bothers me on some visceral level. I get they adapted the layout for a Risk map, but there are some key locatoons that were skipped and the pathing is strange in spots.
I feel like risk should have a button like for seeing all the bonuses but that shows you lines across the connections of bonuses (like perpendicular, from the number at the centre to the number of each connected territory) because so many aren't entirely clear which does kinda suck for noobs, having to play a map like 3 times before u even know all it's weird connections is a little mean
Seems to be based on the actual maps, so where it doesn't connect is accurate to the original among us maps, but doesn't make sense for how risk has traditionally indicated connections. so advantage to among us players I guess as they should know which territories connect or don't.
I think there should be -1 blizzards on this particular map. There are so many paths that are one space wide that merely basing them on the number of territories is not correct.
I wonder if the game does not actually hold connections between regions, but instead calculate them dynamically from the image of the map. If that is true, its possible a rounding error might sometimes show that connection and sometimes not. In reality that connection should not exist (if you want to be true to the map in amongus). Similar problem might happen between "Lab access W" and "Bathroom" tiles, since those should not be connected either, but they are.
Even if they fix all the connections I have to say they made some really poor design choices on telegraphing that to players, like yourself, who never played Among Us. Cannisters (the territory you had pathing issues with in O2) should have a big black line to show it only connects downwards, which would match the real map. There's other territories that also should have their line thicknesses updated to make it clearer too.
any true grandmaster would know that the canisters and o2 wires may not hook up especially if its a map they havnt played before thats why you check first before commiting all of your troops....you were even saying "there are a lot of splits" as you made the move....any true GM would know that
This map is really cool but has the worse path design i've ever seen. Those double walls you can go through but then territories that DO NOT HAVE ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING in between, you can't??? Come ooon... Good game, well played though! Was a fun video!
Vampire Chickisms That is my bonus = 1 Johnny yoink-ya-cap / "Johnny the-two-dicer / Johnny the-most accurate-gamer-you've-ever-seen (has logged on)= 3 Go Psycho = 1 Blunder = 1
NOTE: Since the recording of this video there has been a patch and some of the connectivity issues have been fixed.
Thanks goodness! I just commented how horribly designed it was! Glad it's updated
Hopefully they also placed thin lines where pathing is possible and thick ones where it's not.
Would be funny, if some maps had one-way only connections though, for example if you only could pass from the Office Entry to the Admin Entry but not back. Of course, the Admin Entry would then have to connect to the Office Hall, to make sure you can't get trapped in a pocket.
*some*
@vampirechicken when you hit the last capital two…uh…blocks? lit up north of it. The passage you referenced did not though
The last frame once you take the capital proved that you can't go to that territory because you can see the one up from the red cap but not that territory
Ahh... so I was right!
27:38 it's right about here. You have to pause the video at exactly the right moment. I was about to write a comment like this one too.
Nice spot, my friend!
Whoah! You’re right!

the office entry actually did fail to connect at the end you can see its connection is still fogged out right after you take the red capital
See... I'm not crazy!
@@vampirechickenI wouldn't go that far, you're just not crazy about this!
A stay-at-home dad who quit an IT job can't go from Office to Admin?
C'mon! Obviously a psychological issue!
Had a game like this last week and the blizzards trapped a player behind the impossible blizzards who just botted out and won 😂
Bots don't win if the last human leaves the game. The game just disappears.
I'm definitely intrigued with these maps after Pete's vid earlier this week. Good Luck with this one VC
If you know the actual map Polis there’s a wall between Office entry & Admin entry. In through office & go up.
Wow, red's first cap roll on you at the end was nasty, he lost 21 and only killed 3... And 51 to 14 wasn't much better...
I mean at the end you see an red 1 above you, but you see only fog to the right of you
So I guess I did capture on camera the thing I was trying to prove after all!
I think O2 Canisters (the territory that gave you trouble in the yellow kill) is the same as the red capital where you can attack one way but not the other

Ah the broken map episode. Good morning VC 🌞
you did get proof. last attack didn't highlight the territory right of the cap, but it did highlight the territory above you red
Thicker lines are just bonus borders. In some cases SMG could do a better job making connections clearer, however. 23:35 is just a bug.
That Coms Data spot would have been an amazing cap to split the map three ways.
Damn, poor red. Losing 21-3 and 51-14 has to be one of the worst cap rolls I've ever seen.

Are there any high-ground type territories in RISK, as in between two adjacent territories you can attack left to right, but not right to left?

I was able to go from office entry to admin entry on my only game on that map
Seems to be based on the actual maps, so where it doesn't connect is accurate to the original among us maps, but doesn't make sense for how risk has traditionally indicated connections. so advantage to among us players I guess as they should know which territories connect or don't.
I like laughing at you making pathing errors. It’s hard to make fun of you when you’re right; this map is set up to intentionally confuse it seems
It's almost as if during bring your kid to work day they let an employee's kid design this map. lol

If you rushed to take the Storage there's a 1-point hold on the right side of the map woth these blizzards

1:46 nah, Blue is sus
Your game had the same inaccessible area (approximately) as the map that you showed at the beginning, but mostly because red was there.
2:56 shows red access, like VC commented. 27:38 shows no access. 🧐
2:55 27:39 for proof
Blizzards seem to be able to impact this map very significantly. Great game !
This time "pink" means purple.
