I like to think of this as a happy song, like two girls are best friends and are having fun together. Instead of thinking it as the real version and it being about suicide. It has such a catchy tune, that I didn't even notice it was about suicide after all.

i know that a lot of people say this song is really sad but personally i feel like it could have a lot happier meaning.
instead of the world ending literally in this song, it could be a metaphor for something that happens really bad to the two girls in the song (represented by miku and luka) that could “end their world” so to speak
i think they couldve both been two girls very passionate about dancing from two competitive families and they both meet during a very important dance competition, like maybe a championship if they have those for dance? the two girls realize that even though their families want them to (metaphorically) rip eachother apart in the competition, that theyre in love and dont want to see eachother in pain. theyre both bored by being so focused on competition anyways and much rather enjoy dancing however they want which in this case, would be with eachother
both of their families dont approve of course, which could “end their world” since their families no longer support them. especially since being in an all star competitive family is already about doing all you can to make your parents happy, the two girls mustve felt they’d messed up big time to completely lose their families love.
but they release theyll always have eachother, even if their worlds are ending in their eyes. happy pride
